ms.ojo,

Trails End doesn't take any PS's. We've eaten dinner there a couple of times. It's so great. A nice buffet with lots of choices, yet none of the "noise" you get with the Character meals. The price is very good, too.

I'm sure both WCC and TE both serve a wonderful b/fast. I'd base your decision more on the "atmosphere" you'd like that day.

You could always "roll the dice", and stop at WCC w/ no PS. If they can seat you quickly, eat there. If not, hop the boat over to TE. ;)

Enjoy!

To all the folks leaving soon, HAVE A WONDERFUL TRIP!!

Just an FYI. Trails End recently started accepting PS's. Good Luck.

JANUARY 2005

Beginning January 19th, the Trail's End Restaurant at Fort Wilderness will begin accepting Priority Seatings. Trail's End serves all you care to eat Breakfast, Lunch and dinner. :flower:

Yes, definitely call back. I just called Disney Dining to make sure I wasn't giving you bad information and the CM said that they are now accepting PS's for Tails End Buffet at Ft. Wilderness.

I had tried getting a PS there too - about 3 weeks ago - and they said they don't do them...

Just tried again to make a PS at Trails End buffet and this time it was no problem. :flower: Guess it makes a difference who you get on the phone.

I think we'll plan on taking a water shuttle TO Fort Wilderness and then the leisurely walk back... How long should I allow for transportation TO b'fast? Where do I go when I "land" at FW??? Any idea how long a walk back to the Lodge???

Thank you!

wow - good to know - quess I will try again leter today!

:cool1: got my postcard from the WL the other day :cool1:
were getting close now!

We will be at WL May 7-14 and my question is do all the rooms have refrigerators or do I need to request one? We will be arriving very early on the 7th. We will probavly be checking in at 10a. If our room isn't ready what are some things at the resort that we can do? It is me, DH and 2 DD's (6&4).

 :wave2: princess: princess:

Does anyone know, approximately how high are the walls on the "solid wall" balconies on the top floor of the WL. Are they a problem and can an average size person easily see over them. Looking at the pictures of the WL from the outside, now I see why they're necessary. It's where the balconies project through the roofline...right? wrong?

I am going the week before you and they said they are in the process of putting refrigerators in all the rooms but it is not complete yet. When you make a res with disney they say you don't need to request it but I talked to the WL front desk today and they said you should tell them you want one. Also if you arrive and your room is not ready you can pre check in and get you room keys to get into the parks. If you don't want to do that you could go over to Fort Wilderness (by boat or about a 20 min walk). There is a lot to do over there.Good Luck ;)

Hi, yes the balconies on the 7th and 6th floor that are enclosed are done so because of the architectural design of the Lodge. The average person when standing can see over the wall, I'm 5'8" and the wall came about mid-chest or appx 49"-50" high.

Have a great trip.

Does anyone know what kind of balconies would be on the deluxe rooms facing WLV? Would you be able to view the fireworks from MK from these deluxe rooms, or any deluxe room?

Forgive me if this has already been asked (it’s going to take me a while to catch up with this thread, LOL!), but I noticed that on the first page it lists some rooms as overlooking the lobby. What exactly does that mean? Does that mean that the “balcony” faces inward into the lobby instead of outward towards trees? I guess I just can’t picture how this would work. We’ve got a standard view room booked right now, so I was curious.

The rooms that overlook the lobby have the enty doors that are located off the lobby. The balconies are all outside views.

Thanks Robin4Ny, I will look into the fort wilderness area. I am sure my dd's will want to head straight for the pool. We don't plan to go to the park till about 2:30p. I'm hoping our room will be ready before then.

Thanks! That's what I figured. It's actually kind of a shame that there aren't rooms that overlook the lobby since it's so gorgeous.

When we stayed in the honeymoon suite, we felt like we had a "balcony" that over looked the lobby. Since it is off to the side of the "lounge" there was a couch and we sat and watched the lobby early in the am and late in the pm. it was nice and peacful.

I argree with Tubachick the lobby rooms are wonderful because there are also rocking chairs placed around the railing, it's great to just enjoy the lobby while being above it all looking down. (especially at Christmas)
