do you all still have the secret box thing going on?? Can you link me to the thread on it? I can't find it now!

Sorry the box is no longer there...

Hi pattyT,

I'm from Metro West (Boxborough to be specific)... go Red Sox! If you see a family of four (DD8 with very long hair and DS5 with red hair) give us a wave. We're in a woodsview ...hoping for a glimpse of the castle from our room :-) We're also going with my sis-in-laws family (3 little ones)... they booked 2 connecting woodsview rooms.

Don't feel bad .. my son is turning 6 on this trip and I STILL haven't lost the baby-fat I gained when I was having him!

My DS wakes up today and the first thing he says is.... "5 more days!"

Yeah. Sadly.

The good news is that it is safe at my home and it's full of the memories that were left in it. I will have to take some pics one day to share them with everyone.

We are actually Woodsview too - also with hopes for a castle view :rotfl2:
We are actually driving down (a first and probably last) cuz we are headed down to Ft Myers for a week after - so although we LEAVE Thursday we won't be at WL til Saturday!

ohh and if I wold you the town I was actually from you probably have never heard of it although your in the same state! about 20 minutes north of Worcester!

I use to live in Shrewsbury, MA...and before that Braintree, MA!!! Now I'm married and live in CT near the Springfield border. Small world. We will be in Disney (WL) the end of this mth!!! Can't wait!

Just catching up on WL reading. It always makes me smile. :goodvibes

mrs. ojo,

Yes it is a small world :-) My sis-in-law lives in Shrewsbury..right on lake Quinsigamond. I probably won't see you at the WL; we're moving to the YC (concierge!) on the 24th. Staying there for 3 nights, then moving to the RPR at Universal til the end of the week for the FOTL access to Universal rides (my son loves the MIB ride there).

pattyT,
Perhaps we'll be seeing you in the woodsview hallways! The first day we get there (probably checking in around 2:00), we will hang out by the pool and we're eating at the WCC on the first night. That should be fun... we have a party of 9 with 5 little ones; two that are celebrating bdays next week at the world!

I can't wait to run Humphrey's nose

First of all I want to say that I can't wait for our upcoming trip to the WL for the first time this June. I enjoyed reading this thread and that is what got me the most excited. I am horrified today after reading a bunch of comments about terrible WL bus transportation on various threads. I have heard comments about waiting for a bus at WL for Epcot for 45 minutes, being on a bus for an hour to get to MGM, etc. etc. Is this true? Is the bus service this terrible? I must say that is a huge concern of mine since we are traveling with two small children and with stopping for naps in the middle of the day we like to spend as little time transporting as possible since time in the parks is limited each day between meals, and going back and forth during nap times. Any help/advice/insight on this would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Lesley

timandlesley,

We have been to Wilderness Lodge the past three years. Are going again this June. We have never had a problem with the transportation there! There was only one time we had to wait more than 10 minutes for a bus. I think you will do just fine. The boat to MK is wonderful. :flower:

We was at WL in Nov. last year and Feb. of this year. We only had one problem with the bus system. That was leaving MGM, and the wait was only 25 minutes. At the end of the day, it does seem much longer. I would not worry about it. Our DD was 2 at the time and she did fine. Everyone was very kind. If the bus was full, people got up to let me sit down with my little one. It was never Horrible!!
Have a great trip!!
Debbie

i wanted to add my two cents on transportation... i also agree there is not much to worry about in this area, we never waited very long for a bus, coming or going, we go in off season so we'd usually be sharing a bus with another resort but even that was bearable.

We were at WONDERFUL WL last August: we ALWAYS go back to our hotel for a break in the hottest hours ...

NEVER had a problem with transportation, never waited more than 10 minutes for a bus.
The boat to MK was very "cool" and we noticed young children love it !!
:moped:

You should have a WONDERFUL stay !!!
The staff at WL is JUST SUPERB with kids !!!

laura

Thanks so much for helping to put my mind at ease. I am sooooo excited about this vacation and staying at WL, that these recent horrible transportation stories have put a damper on my spirits. Did most of you with positive experiences stay during busy summer hours? I'm just wondering if they run more efficiently during busy season.
