QOTD

I usually buy Birnbaums Official Guide , one year in addition to Birnbaums I bought The Unoffical Guide and this year for the first time I purchased the Passporter, I like the design, not sure why I never noticed it before at the Bookstore.

QOTD
I just got Disney on a Dime out of the library. They have some good ideas. The more money I can save the happier DH is!;) And the more stuff I can get!!!:rotfl:

Anyone else or their kids read The Kingdom Keepers series? Really cool for Disney fans!!

I bought the series for my DS (11) and I believe he read all 3 so far...I will have to get his "review" but I know he must of liked them since that is like all he did for a week :rotfl:

I want to read them too before we go...he said he read before reading the series some clues to what the fiction story tells can actually be found on property...

I'll have to tell DS11 about it. Sounds like something that he might like to read!

I need HELP! Off work until Sunday & I am obsessing about ADRs. The problem is 11-11. The current schedule is below.

11:35 Crystal Palace
7pm Cindy's Royal Table
MVMCP 7-midnight.

The only other time available for CRT is 4pm. Kind of early considering our CP ADR. I don't want to miss much of MVMCP. What to do, what to do?????

QOTD-
I still have my Birnbaums guide from 2008 so I have been flipping through it again. I don't think I will buy anything newer. There have been some changes but not enough to buy a new edition. It's really easy to use. I also get alot of info from MouseSavers and AllEars, in addition to DISBoards of course!

I have read Kingdom Keepers I! It was good but I may never look at a few of the rides the same! LOL! Two of my kids have read the first 2 and have the 3 on hold at the Library. They are next on the list so its just a matter of time. They are cute books!

Hmm. . . Could you cancel CP and take the 4:00 CRT? Maybe try to get an earlier CP, like a late breakfast. . . I agree, I wouldn't pay that much for MVMCP and spend at least an hour in a restaurant. I was already thinking that if we decide to do MVMCP, we will just do a CS dinner before the party starts.

Still pondering WWOHP and MVMCP. . . . . :confused3

Not sure if it will help you decide at all but I checked out last years events schedule for MVMCP when I was trying to decide on when to do dinner, I orginally had a 5:45 at Liberty Tree Tavern but then found out they do the Castle Dreamlights around 6-6:30
I did not want to miss that , so changed my ressie to 7:30

2009-Mickey's Once Upon a Time Christmas Parade 8:15, 10:30

Holiday Wishes 9:30

A Totally Tomorrowland Christmas Show 7:45, 8:45,9:50, 10:45, 11:45

Belles Enchanted Christmas 7:30, 8:50,9:55,11:00

I plan on staying for the second parade since I doubt we will be out of dinner in time for the first one.

Has anyone been to (or going to) Universal?

I have never been - nor am I now - interested in going outside of WDW when we are down there. But DS11 has become a big Harry Potter fan over the past 6 months or so. . . So you can see where I am headed with this - he wants to go to the new HP World. :faint: I know very little about Universal. Pretty much nothing actually. Are there 2 parks? Is HP in one of them or is it a 3rd park? How far from WDW is it? Could we cover it in one day while staying at WDW?

Any help would be appreciated. :flower3:

I just spoke to a friend that got back from Universal yesterday. Her two older DDs and DH went the day after opening. They spent 6 hours in HP, leaving their hotel at 6:30am and arriving back at 4:00pm. Said they waited two hours to get in (not sure if that was bc of the opening time or there was a limit to the amt of people allowed into HP), but they were able to ride the three rides and had a great time. One DD isnt really into HP and she even got into the themes. Lots of waiting in line...1hr to eat, 1hr for Butter Beer. They had to kind-of pick and choose what they wanted to see and do the most, but loved the theming and the way they made the newness of it all look old like it had been there forever. They werent able to do it all but said you could probably do it in a 1/2 day if you knew you couldnt do it all. HTH

Thanks for the MVMCP info! :santa: Is that the schedule for every night?

Thanks for all the great HP info! Sounds like it is wonderfully themed. Sure would be neat to see. My kids just aren't much for waiting. For anything. Even things they like. (That's why we travel in the off season! :rotfl:) So I am thinking we may just wait and do it next year. That way it may not be quite as crowded and we can plan it out properly. I think if we try to fit it into our plans for this trip it is just going to be thrown in there and make things really hectic.

So I just got back from getting my teeth cleaned. The hygienist asked me if we had any big summer plans. And I told her that we really didn't because we are going to Disney in the fall. She remembered that we had been there before and said to me -- "I bet your boys are excited to see all the new Harry Potter stuff that Disney just opened". :upsidedow

I had to explain to her that HP was not at WDW. And she said that she thought all those parks were right beside each other. So then I explained to her that all 4 of the WDW parks were near each other, but HP was at Universal, not WDW. She had no idea!!

Oh well, it was nice to talk about WDW while I was at the dentist. It relaxed me a bit - going to the dentist is my least favorite place to go!! I HATE it!!

That was the schedule for last year 2009, but I figured it should be more or less the same this year so I used it to decide what time to make my dinner ressie for the night of MVMCP.

I feel the same way about HP,I think the masses will be flocking to see HP for least a year, plus this year is the shortest trip we have ever taken to WDW, with the exception of our first trip in '89, but then there was only 2 Parks MK and Epcot so it was totally doable in 4 days.

CP is usually fairly easy to come by, so hopefully you won't have a problem if you decide to change it!

How cool! :cool1:

How did I not know about this magazine???? I just ordered all the available back issues:cool1: Thanks for the link!!!

Well, it's fairly new! I just started my subscription the end of last summer, making the Sept/Oct edition my first one. Come to think of it, I think I only have one more coming (it only comes 6 times a year) and then my subscription expires. I better get that renewed!!

I hope you enjoy it as much as I do! :goodvibes

Good morning!

I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. :goodvibes

I am so excited that lots of us will be hitting the 4 month mark soon!! :cool1:

QOTW

I don't think this one has been asked before! (If so, someone can ask a new one!)

Who is your favorite Disney Villain?

Have a Great Weekend!
