First and foremost I am very sorry to hear about all of you who are dealing with cancer. A good friend is currently battling pretty aggressive breast cancer and I know how hard it can be on friends and family as well as the individual fighting. I will pray for you guys and send happy thoughts your way. :littleangel:

I am so happy I have found this thread. We are going to WDW for Thanksgiving this year. Nov. 21-27! :woohoo: I love the first few days of Thanksgiving week since the park is pretty quiet and then the last few days there are lots of people. I love the atmosphere when the park is full, but hate the lines.

Coming to this thread is just making me more anxious to go. I can't wait.

Here are our ADR's:
11/22 50's Primetime 5:45pm
11/23 We will be at Universal
11/24 Kona Cafe 9:15am
Teppan Edo 6:30pm
11/25 Le Cellier 5:20pm
11/26 Cinderella's Royal Table 9:00am
Kona Cafe 6:30pm
11/27 Whispering Canyon

Soooooo, what do you think? I'd love you opinions.
We didn't do a lot of breakfast ADR's since we are staying at BLT and I am having some groceries delivered. And lunch we usually just grab at a quick service or grab a Turkey Leg. :rolleyes1
Anyhow, my DS16 and DS14 are not excited about CRT. I am considering canceling it, but have not decided yet. I would love some feedback from people who have eaten there. Is the food worth the $198 I paid for it? I know the ambiance is. At least for me, maybe not for the too cool teenagers. :cool2:

Can't wait to hear from everyone! :flower3:

Jessica - when I seen your post about changeing your CP pkg ressie I had to chuckle to myself, why you wonder .......beacause as of yesterday morning I went through and cancelled all my extra ADR's and told myself I was Done....Finished

Fast Fwd to this morning and there I sat making another ressie for Fultons in DTD, which only yesterday I cancelled since during the night I kept waking up and thinking about how much I really want to eat there this trip

If it were just myself and DH going on this trip I would spend the entire day at DTD and skip DAK but my DS and Ddil have not been to Disney since '98 so I know they want to go there, who knows maybe we will split up that day:confused3

As far as your family not being 100% on board about the time CP will take up, I am sure once they see and hear it they will be glad they did, to me it sounds like a great way to spend and evening at Disney if visiting while it is being offered.

My Final (I hope) ADR's (I have cancelled a few of our Breakfast ADR's since we have decided to spend our mornings relaxing in the villa and have breakfast there because of the late nights we have planned)

11/8 Sanaa 12:40 Lunch
LTT 7:30 Dinner myself and DH
HDDR 9:30 Dinner DS and Ddil

11/9 Le Cellier 1:30 Lunch
Rose & Crown 7:25 Dinner

11/10 Biergarten 1:45 Lunch
Via Napoli 9:30 Late Dinner

11/11 Boma 8:45 Breakfast
50's Prime Time 2:30 Late Lunch
T-Rex 10:00 Late Dinner

11/12 Fultons 12:40 Lunch
or
Tuskers 2:15
Boma 8:30 Dinner

11/13 Boma 8:15 Breakfast
CP 1:15 Lunch

The above schedule is subject to change at the whim of this Diser :rotfl:

I am pretty certain I am done. I do have a few surprises, but I can't post them here yet. I will post a few days out and make sure DD1 doesn't look. The changes are all special changes for the girls. And I agree about the CP being worth it. It looks amazing to me. But DH and DD1 are ride warriors. So, doing anything other then eating is taking away from their precious ride time. LOL Maybe I will cancel the CP package and book somewhere else and me and DD2 will try to go to CP by ourselves? That might actually work better for everyone. Didn't I start off this very long winded paragraph saying I was done? :lmao:

And welcome to PrincessDez! I wasn't a very frequent poster until I found this thread, its a wonderful group!

Let me introduce the crew:

Me 44, gets obsessed with disney once I have a trip in the works. I drive my family crazy cruising disney boards, making plans, talking constantly about the trip and generally making everyone around me wish they didn't agree to go, especially....

My DH 46, Not a huge disney fan, has been desperate to just go to a warm island for vacation and vows after every disney trip that its the last time we're going. Hehehe, this plan never works and alas we head back to the world. He always has a blast once he's there if only because my constant disney chatter will finally be coming to an end.

My DD 14, does not want to go because her favorite cousin is not going. Plus she is missing 4 days of school, high school, no less. This was not the original plan. We planned this trip because she would only be missing 2 days of school (teacher conference, holidays etc) but then we switched her high school so now she is missing 4 days UGH!

My DS 12 (at time of travel) YES! he is on board and super psyched. He's finally tall enough to ride RRC and he's manned up enough to try some of the rides he was afraid to do last time, namely TOT and EE. WooHoo!:dance3:

My DD 8 Also on board, making a paper chain with our remaining days to rip one per day as a countdown. I love her enthusiasm.

We are traveling also with three neighbors and their families.

The J family
Mom, Dad, and three DD ages 11, 7 and 4.

The K family
Mom, Dad and DS 12 and DD 9.

The C family
Mom, Dad, DD 15 and DD 12.

It should be interesting.

Now to the plan which has undergone several thousand changes. When we started we were offsite now we are onsite etc.

Thurs 11/11
Arrive at MCO around 10:00am
DME to POR Day at pool and later to DTD to shop and dinner at T-Rex OOP.
We are all eating together the first night so it should be fun. We had to do no parks and no DDP today because it was a black out day for the free dining so we did this as a room only night for $130ish.

Fri 11/12
We usually do MK first but we wanted to catch F&W at Epcot so Epcot it is.
6:50 Le Chef's with just my dh and kids. This is our first time at Chefs and I cannot wait to try it. DH wanted TeppanEdo but we did that last time and even though we liked it I wanted to try something different.

Sat 11/13
MK We will lunch at a CS somewhere. We didn't really plan the CS places as we are traveling with such a huge crowd we will play it by ear. Dinner 6:45 at GFC with the J family. This is also a first for us. Back to MK to catch Wishes. Wishes is only playing 2 times this week because of the VMMCHSEIJDLA or whatever you call the christmas party.

Sun 11/14
AK Can you believe we might be touring this park alone. Some of my traveling companions are going to skip this park altogether. That I just don't get. I think its one of the prettiest parks and who in their right mind would miss out on riding EE? Have fun peeps but we are definitely hitting AK:rolleyes: CS probably Flame tree and then 6:40 BOMA!!

Mon 11/15
MGM (I cannot call it HS sorry) Lots of excitement here as my DS will ride RNRC (rockin' rollercoaster not sure of the abbrev.) for the first time along with TOT which I will convince my 8 year old to try too. We are almost at the point where we won't need to babyswap at all :yay: 3:40 at 50's prime time with the K family. New place for us and excited to try it. Now MGM is my least favorite park but I do love the TOT. I also like RNR but if I go on several times in a row I get a headache. Also there is so much at this park I have never done so I am going to try new stuff and maybe it will become a park I look forward to.

11/16 MK
Cause you need more than one day at the MK right? 7:55 Kona with J and K family.

11/17 No plans for this day with early evening flight out.

Side note the C family has not made any dining plans so they may join us once she makes her plan.

How does this plan look? Anything that just screams MISTAKE:scared1::scared1:

Im open to suggestions and Im in full obsession mode and reading trip reports and scanning all the pictures etc.

How do you all do the ticker thing at the bottom? I haven't even edited my siggie yet, Im such a DIS loser:confused:

Love, love, love 50's Primetime! We eat there every single time we go to WDW! I used to feel the same way about MGM. But between 50's, RNRC, TOT and now Toy Story, it has become the park I like to go to just to take a slow pace and enjoy. I like all of the street performers as well. You will love 50's Primetime. The staff there are some of the best in the Kingdom! It is my favorite place to eat as far as atmosphere is concerned. We went once with a group and had an amazing time. I am sure you will have a blast!
As far as the ticker is concerned, I just googled disney tickers and looked at 3 different sites and picked the one I liked best. Hope this helps!

I would love to go back to CRT, been twice in the past many moon ago but my other traveling companions(DH,DS(40) and Ddil(40)did not seem interested so I passed, since I haven't gone there since the '90's I honestly can not comment on the food but the price sure has risen :scared1:

WOW that sounds like so much fun traveling with so many peeps. DAK is the least favorite of all the parks for me, it just always seems so crowded and hot when I have been there so I can understand skipping it, in fact I am contemplateing skipping it myself this trip, I do not do the thrill rides so missing EE is no big deal for me

Unfortunately DH's grandma was taken to the hospital this morning and is not doing well at all. She's 85 and while they're still running tests, it appears to be trouble with her liver and pancreas. Trying to prepare myself if this turns out to be her time. We're extremely close to her (have lunch at her house almost every Sunday) so I'm not sure how I'll explain things to DD. DH is taking a concealed weapons class today, so we'll be going up to the hospital to see her this evening.

Oh! I almost forgot to ask! For those who have been this time of year before, do you think the park hours are pretty well set now? A couple months ago when they flip-flopped the EMH at DHS and AK during our week, I made extra reservations for those two parks, and thankfully kept the originals which paid off when the EHM went back to what was originally posted. However, I never cancelled that second set of ADRs in case they flipped again, but I'm thinking it's about time to cancel them. I figure with the new discounts out there are people who could use them. Those two are a lunch at H&V, and a breakfast at Tusker House, plus I've got one at LTT to cancel as well b/c I decided we should eat earlier on our MVMCP night. Y'all think I'm safe to cancel the extras now, or should I hold onto them a bit longer?

Glad you had fun at Kennywood! And very sorry to hear about Grandma... we will keep you all in our prayers!!!

We have been in November before... its such a great time to visit... they will continue to change hours around until a few weeks before...

Forgot to mention ~

:banana::banana::banana: 10 WEEKS!! :banana::banana::banana:

YEAH.... that means I am getting close too!!!:woohoo::woohoo::yay::yay::cool1::yay:

Welcome PrincessDez & MerryMouse1 :welcome:

Well time to get on the phone with Disney... again.... DS girlfreinds parents are going to pay for an additional room....now that we don't have to have 5 in one room I am thinking of changing to CSR or PQFQ... our to fav moderates....

The only places I have experience with is Kona Cafe Breakfast was very good. Good coffee. Teppan Edo was very good for dinner. It helps if you get a really funny chef. We did and my kids liked it. My DH still says it was the best steak he had all week the last time we went.

I hear ya about the teenagers. My 14 year old doesn't even want to go. Its driving me nuts because she's kinda raining on my parade:headache:

Thats exactly what my neighbors complained about AK, the heat and the crowds but in November do you think it will be hot and crowded?

Thats exactly what my neighbors complained about AK, the heat and the crowds but in November do you think it will be hot and crowded?

The weather should be cooler and the crowds are less the first couple of weeks in Nov too so it should not be so bad , but then of course I have our tentative DAK day for the Friday with EMH in the evening, it was the only time I could fit it in this trip and they always say avoid the EMH :confused3

Our Main focus this trip is MVMCP, OL and Epcot for the F & W so for me DAK could be skipped and not missed this trip

Goodness, I am so very sorry to all of you who are dealing with cancer. It is just horrible! My heart goes out to all of you! We just lost my cousin to cancer last week and it is really heartbreaking. He fought it for quite some time. He was only 37 years old. I had not seen him in years but remember time spent playing together when we were younger. I hate seeing so many people go through all of this. My heart goes out to all of you.

Thanks, the more I read about it the more Im excited to try it. I heard the food is decent too!

Welcome!! And you will love the 50s...it's one of our Faves and must-do every trip!! Get the fried chicken!! WOW!
And I hate to admit...we do skip the AK:scared1: Shocking, I know..but we have went the last 3 trips just so hubby and older son could ride EE--they asked not to go this time...we would rather do Hollywood twice than go to AK...and it's either sweltering or raining EVERY time I go there!! So,...rather than jinx it for everyone else, we are skippin....but that makes more room for AK lovers!!;)

Hello, I just figured out we are now under the 70 day point until we arrive. For some reason my dw doesn't share my enthusiasm. lol Heck I have planned everything for us and my parents, all she has to do is pack..Arrive Nov 7th at WL, maybe its because I talk about it everyday..Matt::cool1:

Ummm....do you wanna call my husband?:rotfl2::lmao: I think that's great some of the hubbies are the planners!!

Lol, I guess if it would help I could call him,Ha.. Trust me this is about the only thing I plan. I guess I am obsessed with all the planning.

I havent been around for several days, but it looks like we are listing our ADRs. Well, the lists we currently have. :rotfl2: I could also list the "working on" list too, but isnt that one always changing.:lmao: It wasnt the easiest thing to find ADRs for free dining week, but I am feeling pretty good about them.

11/27 LeCellier 4:25pm
11/28 CP 11:35am
11/29 Via Napoli 4:30pm
11/30 Kona 10:30am (Break Day)
12/1 Le Cellier 4:20pm
12/2 Tusker House 11:30am
12/3 WCC 10:00am

We are trying to keep dinner time early for self-preservation (DS is always starving at 4:30 every day). I am trying for Ohana for breakfast bc DD loves Stitch. We had it on our Thanksgiving week ADRs, but I keep trying.:thumbsup2

OHH!!!! Keep trying for Ohana's!!! Breakfast is a "must do" every year for us! And if your DD loves Stitch, she will have a ball! Stitch & Pluto really goof off here. This character meal seems to be alot less rushed than many of the others we've gone to. Here's a little pixie dust coming your way pixiedust:
