pas130 - LOL about the 2012 change, hard to resist all the photos, huh?!:cloud9: I was teasing about the 50 changes, I am pretty good at making changes, too.

Jungle Cruiser & coopersmom - that area makes sense of the view out the window! I have not noticed the tables, we'll have to check it out if we ever make it back to RPC.:goodvibes

KC Mike - miss your photo posting!

Thanks for the photo, janeapplemeadow! I always enjoy seeing the pools, especially when our weather turns chilly.

It was IMPOSSIBLE to resist :lmao: Now GF/Poly split...everyone will be happy. DH only agreed because he thinks I will change  It's all good. Fingers crossed I leave it alone.

We've been so busy having fun that this is my first chance to post. We are in room 4401, looking right at the castle! DD has already been so spoiled by the lounge that she wants to stay club level from now on - I can't blame her...we are all loving it!

WDWKOOK - yes, a deluxe queen will simply say "main bldg. - deluxe" on the reservation. The only other deluxe rooms in the main bldg. are the king deluxe, and they say "main bldg. - deluxe - king" on the reservation.:flower3: Everyone here tends to refer to them as queen deluxe to make it easier to identify, I think.
Thank you for the clarification! But now I have another booking question:rotfl:

On the "My Disney Vacation" reservation confirmation that I just pulled-up, it states: Disney Resort Hotel Room Type: 1 Bedroom Villa:confused3. Have I been bumped over to the not-yet-built DVC?

DH is a quick learner;). Congratulations on your latest and greatest tweak and for again testing the Disney reservations system - it seems everything is working just fine...

Yep, she's hooked and mom and dad will be, too:goodvibes (It tends to run in families.)

I would trust the confirmation which you got e-mailed and not what it says on the WDW website, which all know has it's fair share of problems. Don't forget a couple of years ago myself and others who had an Atrium Club - Theme Park View reservation at the Contemporary and looked it up online where we reserved a 2 Bedroom Villa. Well we know they don't have any Club Level Villas rooms and this was before Bay Lake Tower opened. Because it wasn't listed on the confirmation e-mailed by Disney Destinations I knew the site was wrong and when I called the Disney Reservation Center they confirmed everything was correct.

Just checking in before going to bed! :wave2:

KOOK...don't worry. That's what it always says whenever I book the Deluxe Queen RPC room. I do not know why! But it does. I hope they get it changed when they start booking the GF DVC, but for now this is what it should say. I should've told you. Sorry for not giving you a heads up!

Good night everyone! Love you all!:grouphug:
Busy at the clinic and with doctors this week! :upsidedow

We love room 4401! The walk down the hall is worth the exta bit of privacy I feel having to share to share a wall with just one room Plus it is very quiet!

I have spent many hours on that balcony enjoying the view of the castle and having a giggle over watching people docking the little boats.

Nothing like keeping track of time by counting the monorails passing by :cloud9:

Christmas Decoration update .....Last night went to bed with no christmas decorations up and awoke to a fully decorated tree and misc decorations.... It looks beautiful!!

I thought I'd pop in to this thread to say hi. This is my new desktop wallpaper. So beautiful isn't it? We stayed in Sugarloaf a year ago (surprise upgrade from garden view) and loved it so much we're going back in January. We're celebrating our 10th anniversary. The kids are surprisingly okay about Mom and Dad going without them--probably because we already planned a family trip later in the year. I need to join the resort changers thread. First it was Wilderness Lodge, then GF garden view, then GF club level (Sugarloaf). Two nights ago, I saw that RPC King was available and almost changed again, then decided that $140 extra per night was not worth it, when we know that we like Sugarloaf's location. And we sleep in a queen size dog bed ;) every night, so it's not as if we really have to have the king. Anyway, getting excited! Only 2 months left!:thumbsup2 Gotta love the Grand, nothing else compares.

elaw - thanks for the decoration update!:santa:

Lulu's Mom - good luck with your doctors appts.

WDW KOOK - as the others posted, there has been a glitch in the system for a while now. Many posters have asked your question! If I recall, even the outer bldg. deluxe rooms come up as "villas" on the website confirmation, and this was long before the DVC rumors or construction.

phyllis1966 - it sounds like you are being thoroughly pampered, it will be hard to book anywhere else!:cloud9:
Here's wishing you continued magic and joy during your Grand vacation.:goodvibes

pas130 -

Hi! You are in good company regarding the changes, I hope you are able to stick with your current SL booking. It is wonderful, as you know!:lovestruc

It is hard to resist the RPC openings, isn't it?! I have been in that position, and had to weigh the extra cost against whatever else we would like to do while at the World. Sometimes, RPC wins; others, it's V&A's!;)

Won't be long now!

That's the problem with CL, especially the BEST CL EVER :worship: Thanks for posting, enjoy, enjoy!!!!

Had some more "tweaks" today. What better way to end the trip, but at the Grand. And what is the best surprise checkin day but HRHs birthday :cloud9:

Good night everyone! Love you all!:grouphug:

Stay well

Don't change!!! They punish people who change. Just kidding, we were walked to YC from a RPC king room  You CAN request a King at Sugarloaf! Enjoy your "couple" trip. My kiddos were also very happy for mom & dad to have some time alone. And they had a break from us as well :thumbsup2

Rounding off our 2012 vacation in an Outer lodge suite  Now if I can surprise DD that will be the icing on the cake (so to speak) :dance3:

I assumed that's what it was, but thought they might have corrected their mistake by now.

IN YOUR ROOM?. Maybe you could post some photos when you get a chance? Is the Gingerbread House going up, too?

What a lovely desktop image. Happy anniversary in just two months:goodvibes

Well, I guess my dreams of being the first to occupy the GF DVC are dashed:upsidedow

Coming to join y'all again. As many times as we've planned to stay at the Grand, it hasn't happened yet. Something always comes up financially.

Well, this time I'm making it happen. I just booked for Dec. 2012 and can't wait to see the decorations in person. I've given myself a year to save so nothing is going to stand in my way this time!

The Grand has always been my dream resort. It's so beautiful, when we go to dinner there, I sit in the lobby for awhile and just absorb the atmosphere.

Looking forward to seeing some of you there next year.:woohoo:

pas130 - Good luck keeping that surprise, ending the trip in an outer lodge suite will be wonderful!:cloud9:

WDWKOOK - LOL! Sorry we burst your bubble.;)

2manypets - Welcome back!:goodvibes Congrats on your booking, I love your attitude!:thumbsup2 I'll keep my fingers crossed nothing gets in your way this time.

Cibahwewah - I'm with mariamouse and WDWKOOK, I'd love to see some photos of the decorations, if you get a chance!:santa:

Congrats, we are going end of September so I will help you get through the next 10 months. :woohoo:

If we get walked again, there will be major meltdowns  The cast member said we will have access to both CL lounges :worship:

Hi GF fans. I''ll need to catch up when my younger son and I arrive home but I hopped on to report that all the decorations are up today and the lovely soundtrack is playing. Cibahwewah beat me to it. :goodvibes The aroma is better than ever, too. Enjoy all going soon!:cloud9:

Yay! Did you happen to notice if Christmas music was playing throughout the resort grounds outside or only inside the lobby? :santa:
