I have read that those staying in Royal Palm also have access to the Sugar Loaf lounge, however I am not sure if what I read was accurate and if it was I don't know if they still have that today. So I am sure someone who knows for sure will let you know.

When we were at the GF in July staying in RPC, our card did work in SL. We went back in there just to see the place again. We love it so much we are going to stay in SL again this July.

Don't change!!! They punish people who change. Just kidding, we were walked to YC from a RPC king room You CAN request a King at Sugarloaf! Enjoy your "couple" trip. My kiddos were also very happy for mom & dad to have some time alone. And they had a break from us as well

I know, I read your saga, and it kept me from changing to the cursed RPC king! Thanks for the heads up about request a Sugarloaf king, because I thought they were all queens.

I only WISH I had beat you to it. I have some photos from last year though.

On a funny but sad note, I was missing the Grand this weekend, and had to go to Bath and Body Works for another reason, so I asked about the aloe and clover scent. They've retired it! Anyone else know where to find that wonderful smell? DH bought me a candle from Magnolia, but it's not quite right, still searching.

Hello from the GF!
We are here, and it is our last night. We are packed up and ready to go home. We have had possibly our best trip yet. We have been here since last Friday. We are staying in Sugarloaf, and when we walked into the lobby Tuesday morning, it was transformed into the most beautiful thing my daughters and I (DH stayed home) have ever seen. The beautiful tree was up, along with many other decorations.
I will do a report on the GF when we get settled back home, but I just wanted to let everyone know what a magical stay we had!

Glad to help My DD loves the H20 shampoo/conditioner because it reminds her of GF...not the same, but it's something No GF 2012 for us, DH had a brillant idea to move our trip to Spring, and NOTHING is available

I am seriously considering just biting the bullet and paying the $384 (for 4 days), I'm nervous about where they'll put us!

Mouseturtle - You can request Conch Key, pool view - it would be a similar view to SL. Boca Chica has pool view rooms, with a nice view of the main bldg.; Big Pine Key also has pool views, but you have a chance at getting the dreaded pool house view!

With requests, you have a chance that you will not get exactly what you want. If you are worried, it might be better to pay for CL, and be sure what building you will get - but even then, you might get a marina view, rather than pool.

Good luck! I think you will enjoy your Christmas trip, whatever room you end up in.

I think it'll be fabulous no matter what view you have I also did DDP for our Spring break trip. I got FD so the upgrade was minimal. We won't be at GF, but we are now right next door at Poly. But I really wouldn't worry, the whole resort is beautiful. Enjoy the Christmas decorations And it would be a shame to pay $$$ to upgrade to SL for the view only to end up with the marina view (which is nice too, but it seems like you want the pool, right?)
