I know when I rented from them for my stay last month, their list rates were a good deal lower than
dvcrequest.com, and that was why, as a renter, I went with them. Of course, my rental requests were also made around 60 days from check-in, and I could imagine there might be some owners with points they're about to lose willing to rent for a reduced rate at that point.
But, still, if they're willing to let you list confirmed reservations at $20/point, it almost seems like they're pushing you towards that. And, on their FB page, you constantly see these confirmed reservation posts along the lines of "Wow, X nights at ABC resort, Disney's price is this, and ours is so much lower! Hurry up before it's gone!" Maybe confirmed reservations are easier for them to move?
Still,
dvcrequest.com appears to be willing to pay $16/point for any bookings made within the 7 month window (and $18 in the 7-11 month window for most resorts), so if you're the
DVC owner and want to rent through a broker, that seems like the better option.
