Does anyone know if there are any Microsoft office programs on the computers at CR? Word or Excel? TIA

No. Also, you don't have access to the file system--no Windows explorer. Google docs might work.

Here's a pic of the computer screen. You click on a link for internet access. Everything else is Disney related.

While there are no Microsoft programs on the computer, if you had an e-mail with an attachment from a Microsoft program it would open up. For example last August while my Dad was checking his e-mail on the in room computer he had a file from Microsoft World sent with an attachment, which he was able to open it up and read what was written on it.

"June 1, 2008 through August 14, 2008 -The Concourse Steak house will be closed for major renovations. The location will re-open as the new Counter Service location for the resort. During this time a temporary counter service location will be operating on the Grand Concourse level near the Outer Rim Lounge."

Does this mean that Chef Mickey's Express will be open for business on August 15th?
 
I know I've seen the answer to this question before somewhere but are there already refrigerators in the rooms or do we need to request one? Thanks.

It's been posted that WDW wants Chef Mickey's Express top open on August 14, 2008. So let's hope that is true because you never know if they might run into some problems, or a schedule change. For example last year on July 30, 2007 the Food & Fun Center was suppost to close, however that did not happen until September 9, 2007.

Thank you CRRF4L! I arrive on the 13th so I'll keep my fingers crossed that it opens on schedule. If you hear of any updates, would you mind keeping me posted? :)

You're welcome and if I hear any updates I will post them. My family and I are also arriving on the 18th, so I hope by then it's up and running.
 
Any reason why CR is booked for end of Jan into early Feb standard rooms already?? Just wanted room only ressies and had to do Poly and check back later for openings.:confused3

My guess is that it has something to do with a convention, however if you keep trying I am sure someone will cancel and you will get a reservation there.
 
hi, if you are on consierge level, is there a separate elevator for your floor, or do you use the main elevators and just insert a "key" for your floor? also, do the folks having cal grill reservations use the same elevators as the guests of the hotel? and if so, is there ever a problem with catching an elevator around prime time dinner hours, especially when fireworks time rolls around?

Club Level guests on the 12th and 14th floors use the same elevators in the Tower that go to the other floors. If you have an ADR at the California Grill you check-in on the 2nd floor of the Tower and then are taken up in a special elevator just for the restaurant, so the only way to go up there is with an ADR. You can also ask about just going up to the bar if you don't have any ADR's, however it depends on busy they are which means the Cast Member might say no you can't.
 
thanks, cr resort fan. i was concerned that it might be tough to catch an elevator to my room with all those folks having cal grill res. during dinner/fireworks times! now that i know there is an elevator just for the restaurant, i'm not worried!

would you mind anwering another question? is the music from wishes piped into both the consierge lounge on the 12th and 14th floors? thanks
 
You're welcome and to answer your other question the music for Wishes is not piped into either lounge on the 12th or 14th floor. However you can hear it if you turn on channel 18 or 19 during the fireworks.
 
i have yet another question! have the rooms/suites on the 14th floor been renovated? i think i read somewhere that during this last renovation, they weren't touched? tia
 
but the rooms on the 12th fl consierge floor have all been renovated, correct?and last question, i promise, i tried to use the contemporary consierge email address on the first page but it came back to me. is there a more recent one?
 
Yes all the rooms on the Atrium Club 12th floor have been 100% renovated. As for the Club Level e-mail I am not sure why did not work and I looked at a lot of previous pages on this thread and I don't remember anyone posting a new e-mail, although if there is one maybe I missed it. So if that's true maybe someone else will be able to find it. However you can also call them at 407-824-1775.
