The "Minnie's Holiday dine" / Fantasmic Issue

I started this post before Pumbaa posted, and I am NOT arguing with RS, but I do want to comment on the substance of his post.

It's fine to quote the Disney Bible verbatim to counter most complaints. But not in this case. Adding additional shows is done all the time. But when has Disney EVER added an earlier Fantasmic? As far back as I can remember, extra shows have been added LATER. This had to have been an error- either the initial show posting was a mistake or whoever decided to add the earlier show was completely ignorant regarding the effect it would have on the F! dinner ADRs.

Telling people " too bad, so sad, check your times guide" does absolutely no good for people who are stuck with ADRs they can't use and can't move to earlier times.

I hope everyone affected will send a complaint to Disney, outlining this problem. Here's the email address:
wdw.guest.communications@disneyworld.com

I agree. I also think that this stinks for those folks affected. I booked a really early dinner, so if they add a 7 PM show, I am still okay, but I know I would be peeved if I was affected. I don't remember ever seeing an earlie show added, so I think that this was an eror of disney's logistics team.

Walt would be rolling over right now if he could and bury his head in shame.
.
.
1) Maybe, Walt would be pleased that up to 7,900 other guests could attend the second show.
2) Regardless, a few will always be displeased.
3) Of course, once could do a lunch or do a late lunch instead of dinner - thus, there are alternatives.

3) wouldn't that defeat the purpose/intent? I don't believe the lunch is a character meal.

Rusty I will not argue with you. If you are so helpful maybe you could -at 30 days out from actual date of this original reservation-could be so HELPFUL as to find me a lunch reservation for a party of 9 for Fantasmic lunch!!!

Chin up! I bet they will give all of you an extra fastpass. :P

But seriously, this is so wrong.

Seems like an easy fix would be to convert everyone's "1st show only" ticket to a "2nd show only" ticket. Now you are all made whole again. Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo. All is right with the World.:smickey:

Things like this fascinate me as it always divides people into a few camps and I'm not sure which one surprises me more. Is it the group that's still surprised that Disney doesn't care about their guests or the group that always blames the guest for not liking it when Disney dumps all over them.

So let me get this straight- Disney Offered a special Fantasmic Dinner Package that was for the hours of 4:30 - 6:30 ONLY!!!! And at that time the show was only one that night at 8:30 with NO other shows. It was presented and Marketed this way!!! I booked this special dinner on thanksgiving night to take all 5 generations to a special Minnie Holiday Dine with Fantasmic so that I could take all 9 of us (5 which have never seen Fantasmic or have Never been to WDW) our reservations are for 6:30 and then to the 8:30 Fantasmic. AND NOW DISNEY JUST SAYS in a round about way. - Suck it up because we really don't care. Walt would be rolling over right now if he could and bury his head in shame.
Okay people hopefully I got all upset over something that will still work out. I called DDining and was told that Disney will or has put an addendum on those Fantasmic Dinners that will say "Special showing". He agreed that there will be no way we could make a 7:00 show with a reservation for 6:30 and Disney "will do something".It will be for the 8:30 show and the gentleman said that we would still have VIP seating. Can I say that part of me is very nervous about it? Yes I am, but my fingers are staying crossed.

I was told the same --- i e-mailed guest relations and explained the situation--- received their form letter, along with a customer service number --- called and was told that we would be accommodated and not to worry ---

I just checked my H&V ADR for December 6th at 4:25pm and it says 1st Show. It also says it's the Minnie and Friends package. I clicked on the details and don't see a time for the 1st show, how do I find that information?

I'd happily take a 5:30 ADR off someone's hands :P
I want F! But I want to see the gang in Christmas clothes more!

Ok---just to ease minds--- just got off the phone with Disney Guest relations, and a Disney Dining Supervisor--- she pulled up my ADR, and on THEIR end, it no longer shows
"first show"--- A note has been placed on ALL of the ADRS for this dining experience, stating that we will be given passes for the 8:30 PM F! show !!! :))
They admitted that it was an oversight an their part, that IS being corrected. If you have an earlier ADR, and wish to attend the 7PM show, you WILL be able to do that.

That's is wonderful news and I'm sure a huge relief to everyone holding later package ADRs. Glad Disney came thru with a logical fix.

Sorry if this was already answered on the other thread--- ( it's been locked)

We are one of those that fall into the "timing problem" category---- when I made my ADR , booked a 5:30 dinner---- F! Was at 8:30 --- now there is one at 7pm, and our ADR says "1st show" ----

Like the others, I really don't want to rush thru the experience, (don't enjoy rushing thru any dinner) , and there is no way we are going to make the 7pm F! ---

Just wondering --- has anyone contacted disney about this issue ----? We called disney dining, and the cm told us that we could ask for a 2nd show ticket , but it's strictly up to the restaurant if they accommodate

Anyone ? TIA !!
We are going December 20. I called Disney Dining and they said there is only one F! that night. What are your dates where a 7pm show has been added? Thanks! :)

Yes !! The first cm I spoke w was a sweetheart --- she said "wow, did we really do that ?!" --- then she transferred me to the dining supervisor--- she advised me of the passes for 8:30 and said we are all good !!

Mine is right on the edge (4:55pm), so wondering how mine will work out! :-/. Lol. I would rather not have to rush!

Right now on later dates in December they haven't added the other show. But up until December 5? I believe they added a 7:00 show. I bet next time they update hours these shows will be added as well for later in the month!

Thanks for the response! I'm sure they will add a show on 12/20, with it being Christmas week. The funny thing is, until I read these posts, and checked back at my ressie, I thought I only had a dinner ressie. I did not even realize it was an F! ressie! Glad I checked! :)
