Watched it. Very frustrating to see a family so unprepared as to totally screw up their vacation. I have no tolerance for stupid EVEN when it's only a TV show!

Ack! This was my reaction as well, I almost broke out in hives, because their trip was basically the stuff of my nightmares. (Never said I was the most balanced person in the world.)

Who gives away a two day trip to Disneyworld anyway? I suppose if it was Disneyland it would have worked. Now I want to go back to last week's episode and see if the car dealer told them she won a trip to Disneyworld or Disneyland.

I actually saw a preview of the episode, and the CM at the entrance gate DID say that their tickets were for DisneyLAND.

Also, to echo PPs, YES the total lack of planning was driving me up a wall. I was practically yelling at my TV "DON'T JUST STAND THERE WASTING TIME, GO DO STUFF!!" and "OMG WHY WAS THAT SPLASH MOUNTAIN LOG SENT OUT HALF EMPTY?!"

I bet that was SO cool, I would have loved that, I'm a big fan of the show. Did anyone find themselves pointing out "that's not right" points? Like when they go to the hotel and they tell them they can watch fireworks from balcony we were like no if MK is closed the fireworks would be over. LOL Loved the show!

I pointed that out to DH also! And that the aerial shot of MK shows the park decorated for Halloween. The montage of the kids riding different rides towards the end also had them riding Test Track smack in the middle of a bunch of MK rides.

When the parents left the kids to go to Paris they walked towards the castle. The kids said they were going to ride stuff and they looked down towards Main St. My DD was embarrassed that I said they were going the wrong way!

Wished they would have shown them riding the rides more. Noticed that the nurse in the mk played Mindy from the facts of life. And considering they were so excited about being there, why the hell did they sleep till 3pm.

Did anyone think the extras, especially during the castle picture scene, were seriously over dramatic with their hand gestures? It was so bad it distracted me and I had to rewind and watch to see what I missed

I actually told my husband "So, do you think the director just said 'act natural' and it didn't work?"

First thing my DS said when they decided to split up toward the end: That's not the way to EPCOT???!!!

And I can see them over sleeping a bit............but 3:00??? That might have been pushing it a bit!!!

Sue was prepared. I cracked up when she said Space Mountain was the ride with no lines at that particular time.
Loose leaf binder is not the way to go. She should have had those pages bound with coils. Have to admit she reminded me a bit of me when I was a commando guest.

It was supposed to be Disneyland but the parents screwed up and went to WDW instead.

Wow! You people are serious about your Disney! Lol! I'm excited to watch it, but DD likes for me, her and DH to watch it together so I'm having to wait until we can. I love The Middle anyway and adding Disney World just makes it that much better. Although after reading these comments I'm just hoping the episode doesn't do to me what it did to some of you! We'll see...

How do they film TV shows like this in the parks? Do they block off the area where they are filming and only use extras or is it business at usual? During the scene where they are at the entry gates to MK, I was really curious if everyone in the shot was an extra or if some of the people were true guests - they were looking at the family like they were nuts when the Disneyland thing came up! haha

Also curious - the tables that the parents were eating at in France appeared to be directly across from Le Chefs de France. Are there usually tables out there? I was racking my brain trying to think if there are normally tables there, or if it was just set up for the shot.

Speaking of Splash Mountain... Brick, Axl, and Sue were all in one row. With the new seat belts, don't they only let you ride two to a seat?


As far as the soundtrack goes, that's me. Actually, that's my family. We are nuts. We don't just listen to them on the way to the airport, though. No no. We listen to music from Animal Kingdom if we are on our way to the zoo. We listen to stuff from Hollywood Studios when we are on our way to the movies. We listen to Disney music just about 100% of the time we are in the car. I completely related to Sue.

Oh, I will also say that while I do dislike it when the sitcoms do things that really aren't possible (riding Peter Pan's flight, lunch at Sci Fi, ride the safari, go on Soarin', and then supper at Crystal Palace) I did like that the "impossible" things here weren't on as great a scale as others have done. For example, Stefan proposing to Laura in front of the castle with Cinderella, a glass slipper, and a coach on Family Matters will NEVER happen to a regular guest. On Full House, Michelle getting to be princess for a day and getting to do whatever she wants, including a tea party with Snow White after running away from her family who was searching for her would never happen. On Step by Step, one of the characters had the park shut down because he was trying to break some Russian's record of riding on all of the rides, watching all of the shows, buying something at all of the shops (can you even imagine how much that would cost? ), and eating at all of the restaurants and food stands. That would never happen. And let's not forget that he also took Indy's place in Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular. I was glad that the most unrealistic things here were sleeping until 3:00 when check out was at 11:00 and eating outside of France at a restaurant that doesn't exist.

They didn't say, I don't think (unless I missed it), but presumably it was a monorail resort, because the concierge dude said they had a view of the fireworks and castle
