The MARCH of the Ducks!

First page has finally been updated with the month of February's individual miles and hours. Please feel free to put your accomplishments into your signature line!!

Don't forget to post miles and hours this weekend for this past week. Let's do what we can to make Betsy's job a little easy anyway if we can.

Thanks everyone! You are all doing incredibly awesome!
Bryan:yay: :cheer2:

Very cool cake, Bryan! :)

yeah, y'all make it easy on me...first shoulder surgery, then today I broke a toe! just the 4th toe, nothing major. but what a dumba$$:rotfl:

Erica hope you're feeling better and getting back on your feet after the FSFTO!

Betsy - Sorry about the toe.

Bryan - Very cool cake. Please tell me that's chocolate!

Liz - be patient so you don't set yourself back

Glad everyone seems to being doing well.

I'm done for the week, I have to head north for ballgames all weekend. I just hope it is warmer than it was yesterday and the wind calms down.

My totals for the week
17.5 miles
130 minutes

Have a great weekend and be safe out there.

Good morning and happy weekend all! I guess I am feeling better and the FSF has left the premises, because that cake looks really good to me right now -- Bryan, I hope you brought enough for the whole class. I'd like that bottom right corner with Timon, please! I am hoping its chocolate, but I'm not really picky,so just cut me a nice big slab (unless it has nuts. I'm allergic to nuts. Remind me sometime to share the ugly tale of the time I grabbed the wrong candy bar coming into MGM and ate one with almonds instead of the plain chocolate....)

In other news, spring is definitely getting closer! I am hoping to get outside regularly soon (but after that last storm dumped a foot of snow just days after we hit 70, I am not putting away the snow shovels just yet!), which will hopefully get my motivation back up. Plus maybe now that its still light in the evening, I can get the occasional evening run in, too.

Hope everyone is doing well and has had a good week. Betsy, sorry about the toe -- hope you are 100% soon! Liz, good to see you around -- take it easy and listen to your doctor. AFM, I got to the gym yesterday but started to feel woozy so cut it short. Gonna try to get back on that horse (well, bicycle) today and log in a few more miles. But if anybody finds my motivation, please send it back to me. I miss it!

Speaking of which, I know I missed some motivational movie quotes, but is there an open "name that movie" on the thread somewhere? If not, hit me with your best shot, Bryan. popcorn::

Hope everyone has a great week. It was mid 50's and sunny here today, a perfect day for walking outside.

My totals for this last week: 485 minutes 23.7 miles combined wogging and cross training.

Hello 3D's, hope everyone's weekend is going well. I wanted to report my mileage, 112 miles biking in 6 hours and 40 minutes, (minus 25 miles to Liz, who is luckily going to DW very soon!) and 2.5 miles running in 21 minutes. I am hoping to get one or two runs in per week during lunch break.

Sorry to hear about the toe, Betsv, and I prefer chocolate cake also!

Everyone have a good week, and Happy St Patricks Day! I am looking forward to my local bar's free corned beef lunch this Tuesday!

Hey Team! Wow, what a week it has been! In the midst of all of the work and stress that has been going on this week with work, birthday and general life issues, I was able to get in a workout 5 of the 7 days. And today, I was able to train my mom and my S-I-L at the gym. (She is trying to get in shape to go to the beach this summer and asked me to help her.) Well, I put her thru a pretty high-intensity workout today. Apparently, she enjoyed it because she asked me to meet her again at the gym tomorrow to do some more training.

As for the birthday cake, it was actually a "marble" cake. It had chocolate and vanilla inside with a white base icing. Please don't think less of me for saying this but I don't like chocolate cake or ice cream. I love chocolate but not like that. I know that's weird but I can't explain.

As for my totals, here we go:

Miles - 110 (but give 10 miles to Liz)
Time - 14.5 hours (give 2 hours to Liz, please)

It has been great to hear from everyone this week. Erica I am glad that it sounds like that you are doing better. I couldn't find an open movie quote so I have another one for all of you below.

Movie Quote "Do you remember when we were kids, playing ball and the ball would get stuck? We would yell "Do-Over!". That's what your life is. It's a do-over."

Let's have a great week and hope everyone enjoys St. Patrick's Day!!

Bryan:grouphug: :cheer2: :yay:

Okay, I'm going to need some time to process this shocking piece of information. I'll try to find a way to come to terms with it, but no promises. "I love chocolate, but not like that"?!?! So you just want to be friends with chocolate? You like it, but you don't like like it? How many ways are there to love chocolate other than completely and without reserve?! Suddenly the universe makes less sense. On the upside, if we are ever someplace together and they serve chocolate cake and/or ice cream, feel free to just pass your slice along to me.

Movie Quote "Do you remember when we were kids, playing ball and the ball would get stuck? We would yell "Do-Over!". That's what your life is. It's a do-over."

I believe you are thinking of City Slickers. However, I am pretty sure he doesn't say life is a do-over. I think he says that Phil has an opportunity for a do-over and to start with a clean slate.... Not sure, but if life (according to Billy Crystal) is a do-over, that's a little depressing (or buddhist, I suppose). OTOH, I guess it could also be quite liberating, but where do I sign up for this do-over thing?

Which brings me to a week I'd like to do over, but can't. It wasn't the best of weeks, but i suppose it wasn;t the worst of weeks either. And at least I now feel like I have to really get my butt in gear for the remainder of March to avoid woeful numbers.

Hours: 2.25
Miles: 14.9

Enjoy your sunday, everyone!

Happy Birthday Lil Bro!
(sorry I'm a little late  )

Starting to feel really good both mentally and physically!
I'm really getting excited to rest and recuperate somewhere warm.
I'm also excited to be meeting up with 1 disboarder and
1 WISH/disboarder! Woohoo!

Thanks again for all the warm wishes, caring thoughts,
and donated miles :goodvibes

I'm all packed with only minor frustrations.
It drove me a bit over the edge not to be able
to wear my usual pants/shorts. I've got to still
wear loose, stretchy comfortable pants/shorts.
But it's that unless pants are optional in WDW :scared1:

I've got my laptop and cellphone going with me so
I'll post from WDW when I can :thumbsup2

Have a great week everyone!
~Liz

I'm getting the C25K runs in. I expect to ride to work again this week. Between weather and some errands requiring a drive it's been slow.

220 minutes
17.1 miles

:stitch: 'Ohana Monday Mixer :stitch:

Most WISHers are back from the Princess half, and many of us are going through Disney withdrawal in one form or another....

So, to spread a little PD pixiedust: that will keep everyone moving forward with a Tiggerish bounce in our training steps, tomorrow's mixer question is:

Who or what is your favorite Disney character, and why?

We hope that you feel inspired to post some light-hearted Disney memories on the Team 'Ohana thread. Pictures--from races, recent trips, childhood experiences--and stories are welcomed. And if your favorite character is a Pixar one--or gasp, from some other studio--feel free to share that as well.

Hi folks!

Had a bit of a disappointing week due to a mild case of a flu my kids brought home (thanks guys!). Anyway, here are the totals:
Miles - 7.35
Minutes - 125

Liz - I'm glad to see you getting better and better! Have a wonderful trip.

And Bryan - I don't know how I missed your birthday. I guess I haven't been on the boards enough! Anyway, a belated :bday: ! Your cake looked great.

Hey everyone!

Didn't get a chance to get my long run in this weekend so I'm going to try for today or tomorrow. Hopefully I can get outside!

last weeks numbers:

205 mins
14.2 miles

I keep falling behind here...

My missing totals are:

March 1-7

Hi, gang....
Spreadsheet is updated...we are doing great!!

Liz....just hang out with Donald Duck...he doesn't wear pants! :lmao:

Big Vic...boxing? I'm intrigued. Tell me more. And....did you cover any miles with your walking/jogging? :confused3

I had a so-so week...took me a bit to recover from some work travel, then I broke my dang toe. It'll be fine, though...tiny little corner fracture. All taped up. Travelling again this week, but have a race on Saturday, so double miles!

The week of March 8-14, I:
swam 0.63 miles/:30 (yes, the swimming is coming along!)
biked 62.2 miles/3:55
ran 3.8 miles/1:05
PT :40

Totals 66.6 miles/6:00

More swimming tonight after work. I promise I will be careful walking and not break anything else!

Sorry to hear about the toe. :sad1:

But that's six more than if you didn't get out there! :goodvibes It's all good.
The boxing sounds sort of fun!

Toe will be fine.

Hey everyone! I haven't looked at the numbers yet but it sure looks like everyone had a fantastic week last week. Way to go TEAM! I am honored to be on this team. Full of winners!!

Kira Thank you for the birthday wishes. Glad you liked the cake. From what I was told, it tasted pretty good! I had a very small bite since I have another half coming up. I can't break training.

Vic The boxing does sound fun. I have always wanted to learn how to box some. I think it would help me with the fact that my left side is somewhat useless. I can't punch, throw, write or anything left handed.

Betsy You are so awesome!! You are always thinking of the team when it would be so easy to sit back and just think about yourself but you haven't done that. :worship: :worship: I know people who haven't worked out at all because of a little cut or blister. (That would be me.) That's not your way. Wow! You motivate me to go back and do another run.

Liz I hope you have a great trip to Disney. Sure wish I could go too!! Enjoy yourself, relax and recuperate! I will call later!

AFM Training and time at the gym has been really good. I have been working out hard and I have been training my sister in law hard as well. I am really thinking about getting my certification so I can be a trainer. I am having so much fun and I can tell that it is working. She is sooooo sore right now. I am hitting muscles on her that she hasn't worked in a long time. Hopefully, she will realize that she asked for it. She gave me a goal and I am going to help her reach it. I am such a "giving" person. :lmao:

Hope everyone has a wonderful week!!
Bryan:cheer2: :grouphug:
