The MARCH of the Ducks!

Dh and I came back from out of town work yesterday to over 10" of snow. :rotfl: I got stuck trying to get up our driveway to the garage. We ended up getting out and shoveling the driveway before we could pull in. :rotfl: Crazy weather!
My minutes/miles are down this past week because of work.......and laziness.
445 minutes, 15.5 miles

Everybody, hope you're having a fun weekend.

Hey Ducks!
I'm back from the world of the mouse and
it was exactly what I needed!
I was able to meet up with Corinna while I was there
and that made it all the better!

I had very little problems while I was down there
walking around the parks. It was mainly a slow down, rest and
recuperate vaca so basically we spent 1-2 hrs in the park.
I won't count that walking but...
I did the BCV/BWV loop 2x per day (1 mile loop) and
BCV/World showcase loop 1x per day (2 mile loop)
I had to add a little bit to each to make up the
mileage to an even mile or two (love mapmyrun.com)!
So last week...
16 miles - skipped a day or two when I started to hurt
No idea on time, I was sloooooooow, but I got it done :thumbsup2

It's good to be back feeling myself again!
I'm back to work tomorrow after 2 months off :cool1:

I'll catch up on everyone's progress as I read through
all the posts today and tomorrow, but I just wanted to
say Hi first :goodvibes

:stitch: 'Ohana Monday Mixer :stitch:

Wendy posted this on the Lean Meaner thread and her words resonated with me, so I thought I'd pass it along as it serves as the inspiration for this week's mixer. :flower3:

It feels like Spring in my head-- a time for cleaning out the junk, renewing my resolve, and enjoying all that is beautiful around me. It's a renewed hope thing -- Do you feel that way, too?

So, WISHers, springtime is in the air as well as on the calendar. And even if your neighborhood isn't enjoying springlike weather quite yet, it's fun to plan for that day that's just around the corner. So this week's set of related prompts are...

What outdoor activity (or activities) do you most look forward to in the spring, and why? What is an annual spring tradition for you? How do you enjoy that first, perfect spring day?

Feel free to talk about prepping the bike for the season's first ride or the first run in shorts. But we're also interested in hearing about other activities: gardening, kite-flying, spring cleaning, picnics, roller blading, hiking, and so on.

So tell us your stories. The 'Ohana Monday Mixer starts here.

Everybody, hope you're having a fun weekend.

Isn't Kansas lovely in the Spring? Friday and Saturday we had an ice storm with the electricity randomly going off and on the whole time. I hibernated and didn't venture out of the house. Sunday it was upper 50's, the ice was gone, it was absolutely beautiful out and I was grilling turkey burgers!! Go figure!

My totals through the 31st
Miles = 50.5
Minutes = 239

Have a great week.

Hey everyone! :) Looks like everyone is doing great over here!

Realized I haven't checked in on here in weeks! :( I was away for work but still tried to keep up some of my miles... I'm two weeks behind posting results so here they are..

Week of March 15-21:
184minutes
12.1 miles

Week of March 22-28
210 minutes
12.2 miles (and that includes doubling the miles for a 5k I ran!)

So I ran my first 5k of the year and had my best time ever! I was so happy. I tried to keep a 10min pace (unheard of for me but I wanted to push myself) and I exceeded that by a little bit. Ran the 5k in 30:40 and actually felt really good after, not sore, not too tired. So now I know I can push myself at that distance a little harder. Anything longer than that though I still need the whole slow and steady pace.

A little over 2 weeks until my 10k...yikes!

Hello Ducks! I guess it is reporting time, end of the month and such. And end of the month means payday for me also. So for miles I have 175 biking, and 2 running, and a total time of 10 hours and 40 minutes. Take away 25 to give to Liz, please. Good to hear you had a nice trip, I am looking forward to mine! And good luck on your first days back to work.

NJgirl, that is a pretty good time for your first 5K! Congratulations!

Thanks Augie! The last two days were exhausting,
but it was good to be back! I can't believe we missed
travel plans again! Oh well, NY is just a car/boat away :thumbsup2

Oh lil brother... Where are you?

Oh, yoo hoo, Ducklings! Just popping in as I add up my numbers for the month. I'd like to give Liz today's workout of pilates, strength training, and a short run: 3.1 miles (yes, I do the .1 just to feel like I'm racing :goodvibes) and 1:45. I think of you, Liz, even though I'm not finding the time to post to your thread

And I hope you're ALL doing well!

Last thing, for all my movie-buff ducks. Go see Monsters vs. Aliens if you're a sci-fi fan. It's a fun romp and has given me a new DIS-friendly curse phrase. :rotfl2:

Hi Ducks!

The surprise snow has melted and it's back outside!

the week ended 3/28:
355 minutes
26.5 miles

Ronda

Oh lil brother... Where are you?

Is somebody looking for me? Little old me? I'm here. A little sporatic due to all of the work that I have been doing. It has been really insane at work. On top of everything, we had to let go one of my employees tonight so until we can get them replaced, it is up to me to make sure my department is covered. What does that mean? It means I will be working at least 6 or 7 days a week. (Sure wish I could get paid overtime!!:confused3) Although no matter what the stress load is, right now I need to focus on the fact that I still have a job and be happy about that. I know too many people that are not that lucky right now.

I have been keeping up with my workouts. (That is one of the few things that are keeping me sane, if you want to call it that!:rolleyes1) I have been spending more time on the track getting ready for my race next week. (Next week?? I need to go for another run. What if I'm not ready? I want to do good! Please let me be ready this time! Please! Oooops! Sorry for that lapse into my insane side.:rotfl2:) Anyway, here are my totals for the week.

Miles - 105 (25 of that was on the track)
Hours - 18
(Please give Liz 15 miles and one hour of time.)

Also, remember that I will be starting a new thread for the month of April for us to post on. Please finish posting all of your miles and hours here for the month of March and then come and join in on the fun for our first month of Spring time! Erica Since no one else ever said anything for the movie quote, was it George Burns in "Oh God!"?

Thank you all for making March such a great, great month!!!
Bryan:woohoo::yay::grouphug::cheer2:

Lizgreat to hear thing are getting better.

Vic there are no slackers on this team.

Ronda and Lisa I saw the snow you guys got and figured we were next. We only got about three inches so the sidewalks were still clear. It stinks every moring trying to figure out how to dress it was 30 yesterday and 60 this morning. Nothing worse than being overdressed. I sweat enough as it is.

JennCongrat on your 5k

Miles for mar21-31
running
74.5 miles
9.15 hours

Biking
140 miles

Erica please donate 20 miles and Two hours to Liz

It looks like quite a few of us are running the Half in 2010. It should be a blast meeting everyone in person. I think we may have to get a team competition going with the other teams.

Have a great week and be safe.

Bryan We need a new movie qoute.

Hi, Gang...Spreadsheet is updated...I still need to add in my stuff.

We're doing great!!! Nearly 5000 miles since Feb. 1!

A few people have disappeared....you know you can jump back in at any time! No worries if you have fallen off the workout program for a while. Life gets in the way sometimes. Your place on the spreadsheet is still there for you! :goodvibes

Ronda, you ended your week on 3/28....it gets a little weird at the end of the month, as we finish the month on the last real day of the month. If you want to add in your last few days of March, let me know. or we'll put it into April, but then you'll be reporting at an odd time compared to everyone. Just wanted to let you know. It's not a big deal, but since we're doing a monthly tally, it helps to have an endpoint each month. :)

See y'all on the April thread!

oh oops...I didn't realize we tally up until March 31st even though it's the middle of the week!

so my numbers for 3/29-3/31..

130 mins
7.75 miles (it was a produtive 3 days! lol)
