Ok I cannot find the Monistat. I tried three stores in my town. There is one more place I can try tomorrow. I'm looking by the regular Monistat, the condoms and KY, and other feminine products. Where else should I be looking?

I think either people in Western Washington already know about this and it is sold out, or people in Western Washington do not have a chafing problem so they don't even sell it here.

Try Target and Wal Mart- I found it at Target one aisle past the feminine hygene products. If you can wait a few days to get it, order from drugstore.com or amazon.com. Amazon sells a 3 pack for about $15 or so.

Or else they are sitting in a boardroom somewhere scratching their heads trying to figure out what could have caused a sudden increase in chafing problems this week.

OMG! LOL! :lmao: :lmao:

It does not come in a bottle it comes in a tube as far as I know. If I am not mistaken you got the lubricant. Double check and see if it says powder gel.

Oh no!!! Yeah - lube on your face isnt a good idea. Good thing Bella said something though. ;)

I agree and I still have my subscription to that thread. I am reminded of someone when I look at your picture, but I can't figure out who. I'm thinking it is reminding me of a movie or something. Beautiful! The negative comments you got before were not from the makeup wearing crowd! In fact if they new about the Monistat face I think they would want to find us all and have us commited!

She is beautiful! And youre right. It was the non-makeup wearer's giving makeup tips. Amusing.

I'm sure they'll catch on to Monistat Face soon enough....

Oh no!!!!!!!!!!!!! How do I return 2 bottle of lubricant, I just can't

Just send them both to your sister. :rotfl:

I'd take 'em back. I have no shame. Think of it this way - they already talked about the woman who BOUGHT 2 bottles of lube.

YOu can exfoliate with baking soda and Cetaphil. Works great

I love my Nuetrogena Rejuvenating thingee.

I was out this evening, so I stopped into Target. My 13 year old son went to look at video games, while I shopped for "girl stuff". I found the Monistat right away. They actually have "Monistat..." on one of their aisle markers. They had 2 packages left of the powder gel, so I picked one up. (Not on sale at our Target.) Yesterday I got my 2 Too Faced Fantastic Plastic sets, so I have the 'wrinkle injection' from those to comare it with. I'm afraid to try the 'lip injection' on a work day. I think I'll wait until the weekend for that. I got some Duwop Lip Venom glosses, which give me a little tingle, but no noticable plumping. I like the colors, though, so it's all good.

Today I got an Ulta "Spring Beauty Event" flyer in the mail. It starts on Saturday. They have some interesting sets in there. There's a Too Faced Red Carpet Survival Kit, which has Lip Injection, Lava Gloss eyeliner (a pencil), "World Famous Lash Injection Mascara", Starry Eyed Liquid Eyeliner, Shadow Insurance Eye Primer, and Totally Toasted eye shadow duo. It might just be the angle, but the Lash Injection looks more squat than the regular size, so it might be a small size. It says it's an $80 value for $29.50 - only at Ulta. There's a Stila set, too. It has finishing powder, 2 eye shadows, lipcolor, and mascara. $106 value for $35. There's lots of other stuff, too. Maybe it will be shown on their website starting on Saturday.

They're also having "in store events" with Stila, Too Faced, and Urban Decay. I just noticed a bunch more, too.

Awesome! Thanks for the heads up!

If you cant find it at your last place, let me know. I can send some to you - and I have a plethora of stores I can check. I looooove living near a big city. We move to Tampa for a year and I couldnt handle it. And it was things like THIS! Not having oodles of stores to choose from.

SIDE NOTE HANDE TIP : You guys know you can shave your face, to make your makeup go on smoother, right? That peach fuzziness will sometimes make your makeup not look as flawless. Not everyone's is that bad. BUT you can tell a difference when you do it.

Dont worry - it wont grow back thicker or anything. And you only need to do it once in a blue moon.

Or a full moon.............. :rolleyes1

OH!!! Another update.

I did not freshen up ALL day - then I went to Kohl's with my son (he needed jeans) and I looked at myself in the store, in a mirror and ....

My makeup still looked fantastic! That stuff is unreal.

Okay, I've joined the monistat madness. On the way home, I asked dh to stop at Walgreens...Okay, let me say that there's a soothing line and I picked up the one that said itch relief instead of chafing relief.:rotfl: I'm so glad that I saw that before I went to the counter. On to Krogers, I had to pick up angel food cake to make my trifle for work. No Monistat....dh wanted to go home b/c it was getting late. I told him I had to go to CVS...he really wanted to go home...so I told him, "I'm chafing, I need some chafing cream." LOL... It's a shame that I'd rather tell dh that I have a chafing problem than tell him that I want some monistat for my face. I didn't want him to look at me in that "my wife is crazy" look that I've seen oh so many times. They had it at CVS, so on to my monistat face tomorrow.

I also got my Sephora stuff. I am so loving the sephora gloss pencils. It goes on so smooth. I got a sample of the Shiseido Bio-Performance Super Restoring Cream. Yikes, it feels like putting crisco on my face. I think my skin needs to be dryer to use this. Smells good though. I'll have to report how the Sephora color palette is. Those little color palette circles looked a lot bigger on the computer. I'm going to see how the monistat works with my BE. My fiberwig is on it's last leg and I didn't order any, so I'm going to order another $50 worth of stuff from Sephora so I can get free shipping...darn!;)

Hey guys - I haven't posted here before but wanted to see what makeup everyone was wearing.

I have to admit I'm surprised y'all haven't heard about the Monistat Chafing Gel trick yet... I've been wearing it as a primer for about a year now, and I am not a makeup junkie! ;) I read about it on another site that has a "beauty" board on it. It works like a charm, even in the summer heat!

I've always been a CoverGirl person - what my momma always wore - but in previous years, I've noticed my skin is not as smooth and clear as in the past and I wonder if a better foundation/power combo would help. I've used CoverGirl liquid foundation and CoverGirl pressed powder since middle school and I don't know anything else. I'm willing to invest money into something if it works and will last awhile. Any suggestions?

I personally never thought a mineral makeup would give as much coverage as a liquid - and used liquid and powder for years.

Have you ordered a free sample from www.everydayminerals.com yet?

I got the Shiseido Restoring Cream sample too. I haven't tried it yet.

You guys are cracking me up with your stories. Honestly, it never dawned on me to be embarrassed to buy anything from the store. I figured they are the ones who have it on the shelves. I have to go to Krogers in a few minutes. I'm going to check out if it's there.

I think there is a code for Sephora right now free shipping for $35 or more, the code is SHIP35 Oh, I just saw the wink ;) OK, well the code may not work for everyone! :thumbsup2

So, I made a trip to Macy's this afternoon and left with two Mac Fluidline eyeliners and a Mac mascara to try. I was only planning on one eyeliner in brown, but the guy talked me into the dark purple (Waveline) also. It looks kind of Navy blue online, but it looks more purple in the jar. Can't wait to try them out tomorrow. :thumbsup2

My Kroger had it today with all of the other monostat stuff.

I havent tried the purple - but the brown is fantastic.

I take a smidge out on the brush, and kinda smoosh it on the back of my opposite hand. That way you can evenly distribute it on brush and not have clumpy globs. :thumbsup2

Yes this stuff is the best! Get a sample! And I don't know if I am just imagining it or not but I swear my face feels smoother and softer since I started using it.

Nope, I haven't but I will now :thumbsup2 Am I going to be able to figure out how to use it? I've heard mineral makeup is hard to use :confused3

Watch the Bare Minerals infomercial, or there is another one, Sheer Cover I think. Just copy what they do with any mineral makeup. It's easy!

BTW aimeedyan I love your dogs! I have two myself. One is a Jack Russell and one is a Chihuahua. What are yours?

I put the shiseido cream on about 3 hours ago and my face still feels thick with it. Maybe I put too much on...:confused3. I was so excited to see the Sephora box that I ripped into it, opened the shisedo and spackled it on my face. It's like Christmas without the tree. :goodvibes

$35! Great! I'll have to use that code if I can't find anything to fill my cart. Whenever I do get to a Sephora I'm such a wimp b/c I feel so overwhelmed by everything that I do less shopping at the store. I guess it's sensory overload, but sure do wish they would open one close by. I've got to go up to Lenox mall in Atlanta for the store. The closest thing we have is Ulta. I guess I'll have to be satisfied with that.

Ooh, thanks for the tip. I did experiment with it this evening and it was a little different and I can see the clump thing happening. The Waveline was almost purple looking at the store, but at home it is more navy. I guess I would describe it as an Indigo color (a nice dark navy/purple combo), which is what I have been looking for. :cloud9: Can't wait to actually use, use it tomorrow.

Update:
Brought them back then I explained, over explained why for 5 minutes, now the ladies at Kroeger want me to tell them if it works:rotfl:

Well, I thought your picture was beautiful. I'm trying to duplicate your lashes.

I was using L'Oreal double extend before I picked up the Lash Injection, it's 8-10 dollars. The tube is red and white. It has two sides, a white side with a white base coat, and a black side. Sometimes, if I remember, I use the base before I put on Lash Injection. I like it because it forms little tubes around your eyes. The most important quality in a mascara for me is that it not give me "panda eyes". After that, all I ask for is full, fat, thick, long, defined eyelashes. Is that asking too much? princess:

Thanks so much for the answer, i just always bought mascara at the drugstore, never put much thought into it. You are right about Panda eyes, from liner too sometimes. I think I will try Lash Injection per your reccomendation. I am going to google it now to see where to b. If you have a favorite no smudge lower lash liner you love I would like to know. I always use a pencil for lower any old one and liquid if I just line the top lid. I have used Estee lauder for so long I just got use to it, now y'all have made me want to step out of my makeup case,:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I second that- I LOVE my Everyday Minerals makeup!! I read about it here on the DIS about 2 1/2 years ago on a thread about great makeup for the parks. It took a little while to find the perfect color foundation for me, but once I got that right, it was awesome. I love their blushes and eye shadows, too. I don't have a huge range of makeup lines- I tend to find one I like and get the whole assortment of what they have. I have been happy with just about everything EM sells (their lip glosses are a little too subtle and natural looking for me). The prices are great, and I really love the products.

Try getting the free samples- you can get as many kits as you like (although they need to be separate orders) to find the perfect color match. Another tip that CR mentioned earlier in the thread- the written descriptions of the colors are better than the photos.
