OK this was the day I (planner extraordinaire!) had built in a rest day. A day to sleep in and hang out by the pool or go to a water park for a couple of hours. Well, we slept in to about 9:30 but only DD and I wanted to hang out! The boys wanted to go to Epcot! Off they went. I did a couple of loads of laundry and DD and I caught the bus to Downtown Disney. We shopped and explored. I had some of the things shipped back to the hotel for pick up the next day at the Marketplace store. Great and free! We came back and put on out suits and went to the pool. Very nice and relaxing! The guys had a 5:39 fast pass for Test Track which they got at 11:45 so they did that last and came back to the hotel by 6:30. We had PS for for California Grill and the big kids were going to do E Night (9 - 12). I had arranged for a sitter for DS (4.5) from Kids Nite Out. The sitter was on time and did a good job engaging him! DH and I left by car and the big kids were still getting ready. They were taking the bus to MK. We got to CG and there was a little bit of a wait but DH and I were happy to sit at the bar and relax. We did not get a great table. We were seated in the corner of the wine cellar room. We could see out a window but it was away from the MK. We had to get up to see the fireworks. Oh well. The food was excellent as usual. We had enight tix as well and had planned to meet up with the kids in MK. We rode the monorail over to MK and exchanged our tix for wristbands and headed to Tommorowland. Get this... DD lost her sunglasses on Space Mountain. These were Oakley's (rather pricey) CM told her to go to Town Hall at 12:15 to see if they had been turned in. DH and I rode a few rides but most had quite a line and we were tired. DH and I were not impressed with E Night. Maybe it was the frame of mind or tiredness. It was difficult to get around. You could not go the usual routes to get from point A to point B. Areas were roped off. DD had no luck at Town Hall with finding her sunglasses. She filed a report just in case they showed up! We rode the monorail back to the Contemporary for our car. DS was asleep and the sittter said everything went well. I would use Kids Nite out again. All in all... a great day.
