But did you give her the special hand gesture that makes the evil eye quadruply (yes, I made that word up) effective? I love hand gestures.
Oh no. I'm of a much too genteel nature to ever even think of such a thing.

Where are all the Chatters at? How dare you all sleep when I can't! :rotfl2:

I forgot to check the gas cap Kar. I will be sure to give that a go before I take the car in for servicing (if I decide to do so).

What in the heck were you still up at 2AM?? Oh, wait, I was too, but it was probably 1AM your time!

That's understandable. I think most people do.

-- Rob

Yes. Though other words may also spring to mind! :rotfl:

Wanted to tell you that this has happened to a few of our cars. Apparently after a certain amount time the car's computer is designed to switch on that light so that you're "forced" to bring it in for servicing. At least, that's what our repairman told me. In my case, we have a really awesome mechanic who just turns it off for us. Hope that's all it is for you!

I slept like a lamb last night with the help of my green licorice flavored alcohol-laced cold medicine. :thumbsup2 I likey! 'Cept I still feel like I've been hit by a Peterbuilt truck. Repeat after me: Mom's can NOT get sick.

Plus, magically, I've gained four pounds this week from doing nothing. Which should put me in a "mood" today. Stupid piece of cheese bread with butter I ate whilst shopping yesterdee! :scared:

MrBigKC- Genteel? :rotfl2:

My solution to mystery-car-noises is to turn up the radio.

The Check Engine Light is a conspiracy theory.

1. The problem is I never know I need it until it is too late to take it. There really needs to be a 4-hour sleeping pill available to us common folk (I know professional anesthesiologists can do 4-hour doses of their various medicines).

2. Hmmph.

I got that story via e-mail, although not from MrBig. It's good until the end, where it becomes fictional. :snooty:

A 4 hour sleeping pill? Try Ambien. Seriously. Just never take it and DIS or you'll share with all the world intimate tidbits about your life such as wearing a non-thong under your prairie costume and such, and then have the joy of reading it all the next morning.

Hi I'm Elisabeth and I'm one of the psycho online stalker people.

thanks for the welcome.

whelp if Wendy says I have humor like y'all, then y'all must be warped.;)

here's my new theme song, kinda sums me up:

Lordy, Lordy, Lordy!
I can't help it I like to party i
t's genetic!
It's electrifying,
to wind me up and watch me go
Where she stops, nobody knows
I'm a good excuse to be a bad influence on you:rolleyes1

I'm glad to know your "real life" name, Claudia!
Heyyyyy, isn't Hershey where a day spa is where one could get a chocolate facial and bathe in chocolate (purrrrrr!)? I may have to pay YOU a visit one of these days :lovestruc LOL!

I say that! "...just don't call me late for dinner!" It's one of those sayings passed down from generation to generation.

1. Pshhht! My pinkie toe is nicer and more giving than you ;)
2. I'm barely 41. Just glad not to be the new girl anymore.

3. WHY didn't Claudia have to submit a list of qualifications and benefits-of-acceptance-to-the-thread like I HAD to? (J/K, Claudia!)

Chataholics!!!!! :thumbsup2

That's the spa. And I've been here awhile. I don't know why people are saying I'm new.

Soooo sorry! I'm too new/green to know who's new or returning or been here a while. Nice to meet you regardless.

Utah Update :3dglasses : It's snowing and snowing and SNOWING (lather, rinse, repeat). Predicted 10 inches in the Salt Lake valley today. Had to switch the Suburban to 4WD for the first time this year.

And, the cheapest non-Costco gas is $1.38 per gallon. :thumbsup2

Since it's snowing and I'm now stuck indooors, I'm making home-spun gifts full of love and hugs and/or goosh. "Neighbor gifts" are also on today's agenda. Plates loaded with peanut brittle, fancy fudge, and truffles, and cookie bars for you if you live on my street and tolerated my 4-wheeler antics.

I've got Joshy (Josh Groban :lovestruc ) playing on the intercom nice and loud. :thumbsup2

Wish it were snowing in New Jersey, but NOPE....It would have been nice to have snow for the ornament exchange last night. Anyway, there were about 50 in attendance...BEST year ever! And, OMG!!!! the food was just sooooo very scrumptious....Ummmm, I mean the ornaments were so cute! Every one was so nice.

This is the one I took....He was stolen several times and finally was retired on the 5th steal! First one to be retired. :woohoo: I was smart enough to buy one for myself, too!

And this is the one I brought home....I was fortunate enough to grab him on the 5th steal and so retired him to MEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

DS brought Carlee over today for her bi-weekly pj party w/ Grandmom and Pop-Pop, so we baked some cookies. Well, I pretty much did all the baking and she put her fingers in the dough. I guess I forgot that 2 year olds don't really get the concept of actually "making" the cookies. She sure does know how to eat them though! She's just like her daddy and Pop-Pop that way!

Tonight when she falls asleep, I'll be finishing up writing my cards and wrapping the couple of "extra" gifts I always just "have to" buy AFTER I've finished all my shopping. What can I say? I just love to give people presents. Every year I swear I am going to cut down...and every year I always buy at least as much as the year before, and then some. I guess I am just incorrigible....

Hope everyone else is having a productive or restful day!! :upsidedow

First, let me say it's nice to see that BBN did NOT kill the thread. I got a little worried when 8 daytime hours passed by without a post. :rotfl:

1. Our cheapest non-gimmicky gas is $1.299. Your's is now much closer than it used to be though.

2. At least you didn't try to blame those antics on your kids.

3. Whatever.

I say this with full confidence in my masculinity: Those ornaments ARE super cute. :thumbsup2

You sound just like my mother, at least towards her grandchildren. Every year I'm somewhere from slightly embarassed to embarassed at the amount of loot they get from her.

Hey! Me too!

-- Rob

Kathi- I say this with full confidence in my femininity: those are just precious! You really scored!

I saw that!!! I'm SURE you just ate carrots and celery! :cool2:

Krunk, my approximately 24 year old Emerson RES5242 am/fm stereo clock radio (a big thing back in the day), which has awaken me nearly every morning through most of high school, college, and nearly 19 years of post-graduate employment is DEAD. I murdered him early this afternoon when he sounded while I was taking a nap on a day that I was already "crabby" (at least that's how DW referred to me). Part of the strike I did upon his head was admittedly out of anger towards DS13 at the time (plus something else that was irritating me that put me into such a mood to start with).

I opened him up tonight to see if I could save him but the blow to his control panel broke one of his integrated circuit boards (a part which I'm pretty sure is no longer available if I even wanted to pay the money to have it repaired) that was located directly under the snooze bar (a design flaw if I ever saw one -- I mean who doesn't hit the snooze bar hard? :rotfl2: ).

As far as our weather goes: it's 55 degrees here at 10:55 tonight BUT it's supposed to drop about 30 degrees in 2 hours tomorrow evening and the high on Monday is supposed to be 17. Ouch.

Rob, you really DO kill time! :rotfl: (oh crap. The Nyquil must be kicking in, 'cause that joke was b.a.d.) Don't hold it against me!

Hi Elisabeth!!!

Wendy, you keep that snow to yourself Missy! We want none of that nonsense here. However, the peanut brittle and truffles are an entirely different matter! :lovestruc

Claudia-- I know you've been around for a while-- I was just commenting on the fact that I didn't know your name before! (and don't hold it against Wendy. The poor lady is traumatized. If I were molested by Santa, I'd self-medicate too!:rolleyes1

Kathi-- If I were a man, I'd have no clue whether or not your ornaments were cute. In fact, I'd be hard pressed to match my clothes every morning or find my behind from a hole in the ground. But, basking in the knowledge of my femininity, I can tell you that I think those snowmen are adorable! Way to go!!:thumbsup2

1. Sha nay nay! Nyquil? That's ALMOST as good as drunk posting!

2. I think Wendy's "truffles" are spoken for.

3. Hey! That reads like a slam against me.

1. I'm about 5 min from passing out on my keyboard, so yeah, I'll agree with #1.

2. She'll only give you truffles if you do the Truffle Shuffle.
3. Really?:confused3 I wonder why that is?
