We talked about it but decided it would be too cold to spend the money walking around DLP.

So we have some tours, Versaille, Louvre, and Notre Dame all planned.

DS turns 21yo on 12/30 so I have a CRUISE on the Seine River all booked for the NIGHT....Illuminations in Paris it is called. :thumbsup2

ITA...I think he is so cute, despite the NOSE, he really is a character. :teeth:

Good call, JAY, I will so do that....I told my DS, though that I will kiss him 21 times on the 30th and then hold his hand on the streets of Paris for 21 minutes straight....he laughed and told me I HAD ISSUES.... :rotfl:

I told him I was going to hug him all the way to Paris on the EUROSTAR as we leave for Paris early am on 12/30 his bday....I get really crazy on my kids birthday...as I feel it is a celebration for me as well as I delivered the GOODS.... :rotfl: I will celebrate my DELIVERY on the goods........... :lmao:

Dh has yet to go to Europe! I pity him...but this just gives me more reason to go again..he needs to see it as do the boys.

Actually I am thinking of doing a mom/me trip with my now 10 year old (but he would be 11 or 12 when we actually go) to China or Russia. One or the other. I don't know which yet. :confused3

HERE HERE! Cheers to the bearer of the goods... :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

I can totally see myself doing this to Aladdin in about 10 years. Hopefully on the streets of Paris. :cloud9:

And you are so right...it is a celebration for you as well...sometimes I think we lose sight of that VERY important fact!!

That is AWESOME, JAY :thumbsup2 ...DH did that in 2002 with oldest DS, he was going to be a Junior in college. They spent 3 weeks touring all over Europe.

So this August before Glasgow, DH spent the same 3 weeks with DS#2 traveling all over Europe and moving him into Glasgow...DS#2 was also going to be a Junior this semester.

THEY BOTH LOVED THAT BONDING TIME WITH THEIR DAD!! :goodvibes

Nothing for the kids...they have already made out like bandits...well more like jewel thieves.... :rotfl:

I cannot help myself. They are only little once and I love seeing them smile and I love everything about giving them gifts...other then wrapping. I stink at wrapping gifts. It's NOT my favorite thing to do.

I just have a few adult nephes and a neice that I need to pick up some gift cards for and also one for our mailman and our garbage man. Other then that...I am good to go and I can grab those online so I don't have to "brave the craziness". OHOH OH...actually, they sell those at our grocery store now. YEP, I can get Eddie Bauer, Applebees, JCPennys, Ruby Tuesday and a host of other gift cards at our local Kroger.

And even better then that fact in itself is that I get 4% back on all my purchases applied to Aladdin's soccer account (which is needed since we could support a whole 'nother family on what we dump into that yearly).

How awesome for both of them (well...and DAD too).

I could never talk dh into globe trotting by himself...but that is okay...I don't mind doing it for both of us. ;)

I will take ds2 to either Russia or China (where I don't get with ds1) ;) .

Ds3 and I will have to figure somewhere to go.

Also, dh wants to take all three boys (and me) to Africa when our youngest is about 15 (so about 10 years). We want to stay a month. Enjoy the coast and then head inland and see the different areas of the continent. We will wrap it up in Egypt for a week (if it is safe enough to do that then).

Good call on Krogers, because Walgreens sells a ton of g.c. to all places as well.
I love g.c. They are so easy and everyone does love them so much.

Ahhh...me too, I went  when the boys were little. And I always found they (boys) were and are so easy to buy for....but yes the wrapping...finally, Jay, years into all these Christmas' is I decided I had to WRAP as I bought or GO CRAZY....then I also had to write somewhere on the gift what it was in case I had forgotten if I had already gotten the item.... then cover it with a BOW.......... :rotfl:

CRAZY AND CRAZIER......... :teeth:

Well...it's late and I need to get a load of wash switched over before I can plop down for the night.

Will you get a chance to get back on before your trip?

YES, I would LOVE to go to EGYPT as well....but while there still is "unrest" I am not sure when it will be OKAY to go....

DS #2 was speaking about a TOUR to Turkey with his college and I said NO to Turkey.... :guilty: ...it would be a DIG SITE....but naaa....I am not ready for him to go there just yet.... :guilty:

Such memories you will have for your boys, JAY!!! Traveling is such a wonderful and valuable adventure for kids today to learn and see other cultures. :thumbsup2
