Morning All!

Don't worry I am not that perky right now. It's a balmy 22 outside and I am in work with a majorly stuffy nose. It was fine this morning as I was getting ready and the second I stepped outside...BAM...no can breathe.

I am liking the idea of a Loser Monorail crawl. But I also like the idea of perhaps Drinking Round the World...or at least halfway around. Would be even better during say...the first week of Food and Wine. :rolleyes1

I mean I am going to be there anyways...and I hear they may be doing Free Dining again. At least I am hoping they are.

My husband and I are at a standoff with laundry.

I do all of the laundry, which is fine with me. I wash his work clothes every week, and although I do not iron them, they are presentable. I do this because I love him.

Every evening when he comes in from work, he stands directly behind the couch (its back faces the kitchen, he's not like wedged between the couch and the wall) and he kicks off his shoes. Then, he peels off his socks, drops them behind the couch, and nudges them underneath the edge of the couch.

I've discussed this habit with him. I've suggested taking his shoes off in the bedroom near the hamper, in the bathroom even (so the socks can lay on top of his wet towel from the morning), I've even told him flat out I would not pick them up from behind/under the couch again. I went so far as to put a laundry basket in the exact spot where he takes off his shoes. He moved it and put the socks under the couch anyway.

He's out of socks now. He went looking for a pair this morning. I pointed at the couch. He looked all over and around the couch, wondering where the pile of clean socks would be. I raised my eyebrow and said, "Look UNDER the couch."

He pulls out a pile of socks and says in a surprised tone, "But these are all dirty!"

You know what he did then? He pushed the pile of socks BACK UNDER THE COUCH. Ten bucks says he stops at WalMart on the way home and buys a pack of socks.

I would pick them up...and stuff them into his pillow. Or heck put them back in his sock drawer. If he is too lazy to pick up his own dirty socks...then you have no obligation to wash them. Let him go to work with stinky feet.

:scared: I'm not sure I want to touch them.

I will not wash them until they make an appearance in some sort of laundry device (basket, hamper, washing machine). He knows I won't, too. I'm extremely stubborn.

Sounds like he is being stubborn too and trying to make more work for you.

Just shovel them into a garbage bag & toss them out on the curb. He'll either get tired of stopping in at Wal Mart to buy new ones & figure out where the hamper is or he'll stop wearing socks. Win, win for you!:woohoo:

I'm still trying to figure out how to get my 9 yo to remember where the hamper is. It's been in the same place since he was 2. He still just drops everything next to the hamper.:headache:

Yep, in his passive-aggressive kind of way.

Throwing them out sounds like a good idea. When he asks where they went, I'll tell him they must have grown legs and walked away.

:lmao: I like that. Eventually he will get tired of buying new socks and learn to use a hamper.

I am in for the monorail crawl.:cool1: DH and I just did the drinking around the world in OCT. We had so much fun. I had never drank that much in a day.DH was so hung over the next day. For some reason I was fine.:confused3 I should have been down and out for the day but I was good to go. :rotfl2:

Heck if I can't get any Losers to join me when I am there I will just have to do with with my family who will also be there. I am sure my dad will be up for it. He is a foodie and a drinker like me.

I live here (near WDW). I'm totally in - you, me and your dad, crawling around the world.:thumbsup2

Hey! Save some of that booze for me too. I'm not too far away from the WS myself. I've never been one to pass up a night of good drinking. :drinking1

If you are going in Oct DH and I will be there again. We always go for the food and wine party. We should set up a losers drinking game:rotfl2:

Well I will be at WDW from Sept 27 to Oct 4. My sis and I booked the bounceback free dining and shall be staying at POFQ. My parents will be tagging along. But I am sure I can sneak away for a few hours of DIS fun and booze.

Another idea...even though there is no booze involved...go to MNSSHP together. We can dress up...or not.

Yeah, dress up as a winner!

Matching, Ironed clothing with make up on!

And a nutritious snack in tote next to the scrapbook you made in line waiting.

It's gotta be something homemade, none of that pre-packaged crap. Also, hair has to be perfectly coiffed. And all kids have to be in strollers. Even the teenagers.

Whoa who said anything about bringing kids? I don't want to feel left out. Though I suppose I could rent some for the day.
