UPDATE FOR YOU GUYS FROM WMALEX.......

Sorry for the delay on this, we had to have a piece of software custom written to cut up the existing long threads.
We have also decided how to handle long threads moving forward:
1. Threads will be closed at 250 pages (3750 posts)
2. Any existing thread over 250 pages will be locked as is.
3. The really long threads that were removed will come back over the next week or so. I have to shut the boards down to cut them up so I will try to do it during "off hours". We are also trying index them so people will be able to reference them.

I hope everyone is enjoying the much faster boards!

I did my share on eating a caramel apple with nuts.

(BTW--- that's what I do all day--- Sit in IEP meetings!!!)

It's not really any fun on my end but I certainly wouldn't want to have to sit through one on your end either!

Matthew's teacher's are really great this year but we're just afraid he may fall through the cracks when he starts the high school next year. The IEP meeting went very well and we put a lot in place for his transition to the high school.

Worse than a sprain but not quite a break
but it is in a cast a Purple one for 3 weeks

THE BOARDS ARE FAST and useable again

the threads will be there in small versions so you can still go back and read
and new ones can be started.
Iknow it is sad but I would rather the boards move along than have to wait 4 minutes for a page to open and that was with Road Runner
can't even imagine how bad it was on dial up

Up early making a few things for Matthew's bake sale this evening. Their class is raising money for their 8th grade trip by having a bake sale during the basketball games tonight. Should be fun games - the basketball teams against the faculty and staff!

I look at it as each new thread we create being a chance for someone to "win" that round of being last (because as I understand it we'll still be able to see the thread even though it's closed - so we'll know who was actually the last to post!) ~AND~ it will also be a chance for someone to "win" that round by having the most posts!
