I know. So many people had their lives disrupted, not to mention the fear that was felt by so many, all because someone didn't want to pay for their broken door! The young man attends / attended ASU but has gone back home for now because of all of this!

This is crazy....we get temps in the 60's for the first time in months and it has to rain as well

Skip out early from work?

I was only supposed to work until noon today but stayed until 12:45. I felt a little guilty skipping out early, though, because I went in almost an hour-and-a-half late! We had a fire call right before 8 a.m. I usually don't go out on the calls if I have to get the boys to school or if I have to get to work (my boss isn't always very understanding about fire calls ) but I felt I had to go on this one. We could literally see the smoke from our house, that's how close it was.

Luckily, there was a great turn-out this morning and the home wasn't damaged too badly. It started in the basement at the wood stove and traveled up the wall where the chimney was. They'll have some clean-up to do but it's still livable!!

We're having our house appraised tomorrow so I really should be doing some stuff around here instead of being on the computer!
