I coach cheer. There are 3 competitions that weekend only UCA All-Star Nationals is on Disney property. There is a competition at the civic center and somewhere else too. UCA cheerleaders stay at the ASSP and CBR. I heard the other competitons have kids staying at the Nick Hotel. We are bringing 7 squads. I coach Tiny cheer ages 3-5. Most families with kids on my squad already have tickets to P&P party. The UCA cheerleaders compete at MGM, WWOS and possibly another park this year. The cheerleaders will be busy on Saturday and Sunday for the most part. Many will arrive on Thursday as most teams have practice there on Friday.

Do you think that most of the cheerleaders will be with family or with chaperones. Obviously most if not all of the 3-5's would be with parents. My concern is with the older kids.
Not to slam cheerleaders or anything, I used to coach our elementary school kids many moons ago, but after all the stuff we heard about Pop Warner and personally living through the Brazilians I'm a little worried. But if most are coming in on Thurs(night of the party)and practice is Friday I doubt many of them will be up that late right?

We are All Star cheer. We don't do chants or loud cheers in the competitions. We just stunt, tumble and dance so it is pretty quiet. It is much quieter than POP warner cheerleading in my opinion.
Most of our teams pracitce Friday afternoon so they don't have curfew until Friday night. I think that the younger kids would have parents with them but I don't know about the older girls. We went last year and most the older kids hung out around ASSP a lot of the time. It wasn't crowded at the parks until Monday after competition was over. Monday the MK was packed. Hope that helps.

Thanks for posting the map and information. Until I read some reviews I do not want to purchase tickets---so since the first party is tomorrow--hope people let us know how it is.

The Only Time we knew the Cheerleaders where in town is when we were on
the buses or boats, they were pretty loud cheering.
We cannot wait for the Party, my kids are so excited, DS5 and DD13.
We are leaving for Disney right after my DD13th Bday and will be at the last
Party. Please post as soon as someone gets back from the 1st Party.

Thank You:banana:

Well, even though it's an extra ticket (we're AP holders), we bit the bullet and decided to go to P&P party! WHOO HOO! :woohoo: DD10 is so excited, I never thought she would want to do something like this but she is the whole reason I decided to do it. DH is getting WDW burn out (we got AP's for Christmas and this weekend was our fourth visit since then) so will just be DD and myself. We will miss him but I'm sure it will be a blast! It will also be our first stay on Disney property since 1998 (All Star) with the exception of one night at Dolphin, so even more to be excited about.

We're going Feb 23 and will stay at CBR. Now the hard part - dresses. DD is determined to be either Jasmine or Belle, and the shopping starts Wednesday. I'm torn between a pirate or a princess...of course, I'm also an adult so it's not such a big deal but how else do I get to be a princess at MK?
:goodvibes
Any other adults going as princesses??

Just wanted to join this thread and see how my fellow P&P Party attendees are doing.

:dance3:

I'm going as a princess. I bought the pink princess dresses from My Dress Up Trunk on ebay for DD and I, plus one for her dolly. :goodvibes

My thoughts exactly!! My daughter (dressing as Christmas Belle) said she wanted me to be Cinderella, so I went and got a Cinderella costume. When else can you dress up as a princess??? princess: And not to be tortured alone, I am making hubby dress-up as Prince Charming. I'm gonna get a good laugh!! :rotfl: Poor guy!!!

How cool!! I wish DH was going but knowing my luck he would be a pirate...lol.

I would rather be Belle but I look more like Cindy so....Cindy it will be! Now, where did I put that spell to turn that pumpkin into a carriage...
:hyper:

It show's Indy Speedway and Winnie the Pooh but I thought both of those were closed for refurbishment. I am going Feb. 5th do you think those will be open or they just put them on the list and they will actually be closed?

I think they probably put them on the maps for the other dates of the party when they aren't in refurb. I can't imagine they would take them out of refurb for the party.

I am soooo excited! The first party is tonight. Cannot wait to read all of the early reports before I leave on thursday. I can see me sitting at the computer Wednesday night trying to get a game plan.:surfweb: We then go to the party in just 7 days. I never thought it was going to get here.:hourglass

I'm sitting on pins and needles waiting for a party report!!!
I hope everyone has a blast tonight!!!

I am with you, I hope everyone has a great time tonight. I can't wait to get up tomorrow morning and start reading the reports, I really want to hear what characters are out and about since there has been such talk about who will be there and who won't. Hoping Disney pulls out all the stops for this one.:)

This may have been answered already (if so, forgive me!) ~ does anyone know the earliest time you can use your ticket to get into MK? I know MNSSHP was 4:00 and wondering if this party is the same. This will be my ONLY park visit for this trip and I want to sqeeze in every minute!

Unfortunately, there is no definite answer on this. CM's have given every scenario: YES, you can get in 3 hours early with just a party ticket, YES, you can get in early but only if you have an ADR, and NO you can't get in early, ADR or not! LOL :confused3

Only time will tell, so just watch for the party reports that'll start coming in soon! :)

Hey, it's 4:50pm in WDW, so MAYBE some party goers are in the park with just their party tickets right now!! pirate: princess: (Or maybe not..)

I wish there was someone there right now who could give us a live play by play of the evening!! :rotfl:
