I just wanted to post on my own thread that we had a nice time at the March 5th party!
We met Captain Jack and he was so great with our little boys!! He let them each take a piece of his treasure which they thought was so cool. My older two got his autograph in their books which they were proud of.
The parade was wonderful! And the fireworks were SO GREAT! Especially the middle part where the castle is involved....that was the best fireworks sequence of any of the WDW fireworks we've ever seen.
The treasure spots were ok. I kinda wish they'd have given out all of the treasures at each spot so you wouln't have to go to more than one. But that would defeat the purpose of the "treasure hunt" so I understand why it was that way.
We only ended up doing a few rides/attractions, but the one I thought for sure would have a long line on that night, POC, we walked right onto! So that was fabulous. The walkways were more crowded, but not as many people were doing the attractions so it was kinda strange in that way.
There were plenty of people leaving the park as we entered (around 5:30pm) and Main Street was very busy. It would be more exciting and special is we were walking into the park with only other party-goers. I wish they could close the park completely and clear it before the party begins, but I also undersand what a problem that would create too...so I guess it is what it is.
We would do it again just to see the parade and fireworks, and to ride the rides with no/short lines, and also to meet more characters. It was a good night!
