The Jan/Feb/Mar 2007 Pirate & Princess Party thread!

Howa about any new rumors about "special" characters that will be out for this party? I read on another thread that Cinderella's step-mother and step-sisters were out, maybe in preparation for the party. I cannot wait. Only 4 days until some of you go to the first party and only 11 more days until DD4's birthday and our party!

We leave first thing tomorrow morning for WDW and are going to the party on the 22nd! We have never been to a "party" so it is all new to us. My DGD will have an autograph book just for the party, hope that she gets some that are not usually available. He is a real character groupie at 5 YO.

I am guessing that if Cinderella's step mother and step sisters have been out - it is to promote the new movie. I saw there is a new movie coming to dvd on Feb. 6th - Cinderella 3 - A Twist in Time. The little photo showed those three outside and the stepmother was holding the the fairy godmother's wand! I will be on the Wonder when this movie is released but I think I will buy it in Florida to watch in the van on the way home!

I plan on purchasing tickets for Jan. 26th. I originally wasn't planning on going to the party - our boys are 18 and 20 and quite frankly, I thought they'd think it was silly. However, when I mentioned it this morning, they both said "heck, yeah!"!! So now I am REALLY excited!

We will be there on the 26th too! Dressing up is so much fun. Our group will be from 10 up to 53!!! We're hoping to get the folks to go too (grandparents 78 + 82). They already have outfits, but are afraid it will be too late.

That's great about your boys wanting to go!

Can't wait to hear how the party on the 22nd goes! I wish we were going earlier too! Going on a Friday opens it up to more crowds.

Great idea for a post. We (me and DBF) are going on Jan 22nd. It's our anniversary that day. We have CRT booked the evening before for the 'formal' celebration, but decided to do this as our 'silly' celebration. No kids but figured we'd still have fun.

Might be worth noting r/e tickets: I originally ordered my tickets around July 7th and was assured I would receive the tickets within 14 days. One month later I was still waiting so I call WDW and they agreed to re send them. This time they send them by DHL (I love in England) so they got to me no probs. So if you think your tickets got lost in the post, just call them to sort it out.

As we don't have kids, we won't have full costumes. Whilst at DLP last month I bought DBF a Pirate hat and eye patch, and myself a Princess Crown!

My DW and I will be there on the 22nd too.,,,,,I'll listen for the accent.....

I read on another site that they did test the P&PP fireworks last night and that there'll be another test on Saturday night. And apparently they are doing something new with these fireworks...spoiler alert! Highlight below to read:

Fireworks will be launched from the areas right around the hub, one spot being behind the popcorn cart there in the hub. Sounds neat!

We are going to the Party on Feb 26th. I saw on the thread both mentions of wristbands and hard tickets. We have our hard tickets in hand. Do you need both to attend the party? We plan on being in Epcot earlier in the day and have 7:10 pm dining reservations at Le Cellier. We plan to ride the monorail over to the P and P Party after our dinner. Will we be able to enter at that time with the hard tickets or do we have to have wristbands ahead of time?

Hi! Yes, you'll need your hard ticket for admission to the park, then upon entering, you'll receive a wristband. The wristband helps identify participants to the CMs who are in the park. You may get asked to show your wristband when the party begins and you move into different areas, and rides. Those who do not have writbands after 7:30 (maybe even earlier... when the park closes) will be asked to leave the park.

Thanks! I have a feeling that it is going to be busy. There will be a lot of cheerleaders arriving in town. There are 3 large cheer competitions in town that weekend.
