Can you bring a crock pot? Didn't know if we'd be allowed, it would save a lot on meals. Nothing like coming home to a warm dinner smell!! :cool1: Thanks

Small appliances are not allowed. If you want to prepare hot meals in your room consider booking a different resort with a kitchen.

Have seen comments on this thread regarding frozen coke. Can you do this with the refillable mug?

Yes you can. It is my DD7 favorite!

What are the hours for the foodcourt? Do they change seasonally...ie...value to peak season....not winter, spring seasons :sunny:

I am up to page 47 on this post, but keep coming up with questions!! AWESOME POST!!!!! :cheer2:

I Believe if you need a fridge for Medical reasons, any Disney resort will not charge you for it.
I dont know what the conditions are (thankfully) but I would call the resort and find out the details.

This is 100% correct. You can have the frig for free if you have it for medical reasons. :cheer2:

Just quickly, is 3428 a king or double beds, does it connect?? thanks :flower:

I don't mean to repeat something but which building is this in? I'm trying to decide where I want to stay in December. Thanks.

riu girl: Called back regarding the min. 4-night stay and was told that it's basically luck of the draw during busy times. Apparently it's whatever the front desk at the resort wants and so I guess they want a min. 4-night stay over Christmas. I guess you just got lucky. As it turned out, Dec. 28 opened up, so even though I'm technically spending more money, I now have Jan. 1 at $70.25 taxes incl. (CAA rate) + an extra day at Disney.

Room 3428 is in building 3 (50's Tramp), on the 4th floor.

Okay, so here's an odd question. I see oatmeal on the breakfast menu for Everything Pop. Can anyone tell me anything about it? Is it actually cooked oatmeal or is it a $2.50 packet of instant? We have the slow cooked kind at work, and I've gotten kind of addicted to my little bowl of oatmeal with brown sugar and milk.

Does anyone know if they still have surrey bikes for rental at the POP. I noticed a family on one when looking at someone's pics.

I noticed the same thing too about the bikes in the one photo....but I believe that I was told before that POP does not have these bikes. I would like to also hear from other on this topic. Also if they do have them...what is the cost to rent them?

Good Morning!! :sunny:

I've already posted this question (sort of) seperately on this board, but I thought I'd come to the Pop Century experts for some advice!!

I ran the numbers yesterday, and discovered that it is less than $100 to change our one room at PO-R to 2 rooms at a value resort. We are a family of 5, having the additional space would be great! I think my preschooler will love the water jets pool, and I think my grade schooler will love everything about the resort :) I'm wondering about my 15 year old, though. I know that the pool doesn't have a slide, and there's no marina to rent water mouse boats...those are 2 selling points for him at PO-R. How's the arcade? We have at least one down day planned, and I want everyone to be happy... ;)

If I make the switch, we will request connecting rooms...is it possible to request a king connected to a double/double? that would be an ideal set up for us. Is there a building that is centrally located between the main building and the pop jets pool?

Any other hints and tips would be MOST welcome! thanks! :cool1:

No they do not have the bikes at Pop. I believe they did when they first opened but they were not there last month.

My DS (13) loved POP.....he ran around taking all kinds of pictures. He was
disappointed they didn't have slides of diving boards....but he was okay with
it. :sunny:

Madge-even though we haven't stayed at POP (booked yesterday for December trip though), we have visited to eat. My DS 13 (and DH) loves POP's arcade. This is one of the reasons we chose it for our trip. We usually stay at a moderate (which the arcades are okay, but don't give out tickets for prizes, which POP does), but POP just seems like fun.

thanks for the tips about the arcade--I think that will be a big selling point to my older son ;)

I called CRO to see what the price difference would be for one room at PO-R vs. 2 rooms at a value, and the CM strongly suggested that I keep my reservation at PO-R over any of the values.
