What room should I ask for if I want to stay in the Jungle Book Bldg and see the fireworks? Thanks ahead of time experts.

Hi,
Just wanted to write and say I wrote Disney asking about the non-smoking rooms and they said the following buildings were non-smoking.
2, 3, 6, 7, 9, and 10. and the other buildings were a mix of smoking and non-smoking.

I would double check if you needed if for medical reasons, in case something changes.

Just wanted to pass on what they told me.

Sonya

Okay I know that someone on here has a map to which buildings are which.....could you please post it instead of me spending 2 hours on this thread looking for it. :rotfl:

Thanks!!!!

Am I remembering right: Are all of the pools in WDW heated to 82 F? That would be heaven coming from Ontario in January!
Thanks

There's one on the first page of this thread. It doesn't make sense to me, as the buildings don't see to be numbered that way. That's what they told me, but not sure what buildings they mean.

Does anyone know if building #3, which is the tramp building, if it's BOTH smoking and non-smoking??? Also does anyone know if you can see the fireworks from the "Lady" building?

Thanks for your help!

But the buildings on the map are not numbered so which building is which?

50's building 1(Lady), Building 2(Jukebox), Building 3(Tramp)
60's building 4(Playdough), building 5(Jungle Book)
70's building 6(Mickey Mouse), building 10(Hotwheel)
80's building 7(Roger Rabbit), building 9(Radio)
90's building 8(computer)

Hope this helps! :goodvibes

Sandy,

You did read my post wrong... I wouldn't think of allowing anyone in my family near a swimming pool during a storm. I thought this was common knowledge and I was shocked that Disney had to enforce common sense!

The answer to the luggage question - sometime they do deliver the luggage to your room while your not there. For instance, we checked in, picked up our keys (they did not have our room numbers yet), dropped off our luggage and went to the parks. Later we called the hotel to get our room numbers. Later in the evening when we returned to the hotel, our luggage was already in our rooms. Very nice and convenient.

Oh, sorry about that. My neighbor would need the lifeguards to tell her to stay out of the pool during a lightning storm. She lets her kids (12, 9 & 7) run around outside during storms. Her 9 year old is always coming over to ask my DS to play with him in the rain. When DS tells him he's not allowed, the boy says, "you're mom's too strict". :sad2: You'd be surprised how many people need to be told things that most of us consider common sense. I feel bad for the lifeguards who have to sit out there in it.

Actually they are...it's kinda tricky. Look at the 4 digit room #. For example 3101. The first # 3 is the building #, the second # is the floor the room is on and then the last two are the "room #" in that building. So room 3101 is in building 3 on the first floor. 2201 would be building 2, 2nd floor. HTH

It's nearly impossible to make out the numbers on the map I posted a link to.

Hey Zandy! If you look at the map on page 1 you can see the numbers pretty well, also if you click on the link in Chairbornerngr's post just above the map it is pretty easy to see the numbers too!

I still like your window decorating ideas! I'll put my lime green mickey head on my door, but I think we are going at different times. :confused3

From the 50s building 3 (Tramp) lakeview , is this where you can see fireworks/epcot? Do all of these lakeview rooms also have a view of fireworks/epcot or just parts of this building?

I wonder if anyone has a map of POP AND Epcot together so I can figure out what part of this building would have the best view of fireworks/epcot?

We stayed in building 3 (tramp) last time we were there. If you look at the map, we were the corner room (right beside the staircase) on the lake side. We faced Epcot. We could see the fireworks if we stood outside the room (we were ground floor). I would think from the higher floors you could possibly see from your room. Sorry I don't know about the other buildings. HTH some.

WDW Map
This isn't the best map, but it was the only one I could find. Pop is at the bottom of the map (orange circle #31). Just by looking at Hourglass Lake it looks like building 2 Jukebox (it seems to be the closest building to Epcot) might be the best, but I don't know first hand..

Thank you for all the info. I will be on my own with two young kids. I know that DD will still be awake during the fireworks but DS will be sleeping. I am trying to stay in a room where she can see the fireworks from either the window or just outside the room. I can't leave DS alone sleeping in the room while I walk down the outside walkway with DD so she can see the fireworks.
Thanks again.
Back to building 3 Tramp: Is the lakeview side of the building that is closest to the parking lot closer or further from Epcot?

If you are in room #3417, then you are very close walk to see the fireworks. It is only a few seconds step. You can leave your son and not be far from watching the fireworks. You would only be 4 room away to the corner. So if you need to check your son every minute you can.

Am I reading the map of POP on page two by Stephen D Johnson and assuming room 4112 is in the prefered 60's bottom floor nearest the food court. Is this end near the road or food court or is it the farthesy away from the food court.

THANKS

Just arrived home from Pop Century! We were in room 4112 for 10 nights. It is near the food court (not near the lake). We absolutely loved the resort and would absolutely choose this resort again.
