Hey all.... Just wondering if any one is able to answer a small question I have regurarding park tickets. I'm sure someone here will know...if not I can ask on another fourm area. Anyways...I'm wondering if there would be a price diffrence in adding park days/tickets at the resort or anywhere at WDW....OR if we'd be better off adding the tickets now through our TA. On a side note....our TA has has some issues with our group and has made mention to "NOT" doing any more for us...so I've very hesitant to ask her to "add" park days at this point. I'm thinking if the price would be the same to do it there then we'll just wait and add them at the resort. BTW...can you add tickets at the resort? Or do you need to go someplace else at WDW?

I heard people say that the coolest the rooms go is somewhere in the high 60s & I was wondering if there's a certain way to make the tempt. lower? I've seen a post a long time ago somewhere where someone mentioned a way to do it by holding down a certain button.

There is a thermostat on the wall just near the door where you can set the temperature in your room. Since everyone said our room was "like an icebox", I am sure you can get it cold enough. It is very easy to use.

Not sure if there is a price difference but Deb's site or Mousesavers might be able to answer that for you. You could also just call WDW with your ressie number. I know you can do add/buy park tickets at guest services of your resort.

I am sure you can add the tickets at WDW but if you TA is refusing to help then I would CAN him/her NOW!! That to me is unaccptable behavior for any TA to even think of.

I have read a post about overriding the ACs "sleep" mode when no one is in the room. Some resort guests didn't like returning to a stuffy room after a long day in the parks. One answer was to push two buttons at the same time - of course I don't remember which ones - but someone else said they bought a helium balloon and let it float around the room while they were gone. Don't know if that helps...

"Yes, they are motion sensor activated and yes they do get warm unless you move around.

Now, I didn't tell you this:

The thermostat has two buttons on the left (ON/OFF and AUTO/FAN) and two buttons on the right (UP and DOWN)

1) Press the ON/OFF and AUTO/FAN buttons together. The digital display will change to 'CA'.

2) Press the ON/OFF and DOWN button together. The digital display will change to 'OR" (or something similar).

You have just deactivated the motion sensor. This will last for three days at which point you will have to repeat the process."

Oops! I think this is the one specific to POP:

"Press the power button and the down arrow at the same time. If dne correctly, the letters BP should appear in the temp readout, meaning that the thermostadt is in bypass mode (bypassing the motion sensors). You can then set your desired temp and it will stay at that temp whether you're moving around or not.

You will have to do this once every day, as the thermostadts automatically reset themselves to the default mode daily to save power."

LOL! It's funny the things we will do to make a WDW vacation perfect!

Just a personal observation but we never noted any issues with POP's a/c. The rooms have always been cold and at the temperature we selected regardless of the time of day. This counts for a total of 7 rooms over 3 trips.
The Poly, on the other hand, was really bad about this. I woke up each night, sweating (in January, mind you!!), waving my arms frantically in the air while trying to get the a/c to kick back on without getting out of bed. It never worked so I had to walk back and forth a couple of times.

Just back from Pop and have some info . I was in one of the disability rooms with the walk in shower. I don't know if the drains are the same in the other rooms but in this room the sink drain did not have a built in stopper. It is just a flat drain with holes with no way to plug the sink so that the water fills it. I use a cpap that should be rinsed in the sink periodically and also I usually like to wash small articles of clothing in the sink. I called housekeeping a few times and the front desk. The response from then was that they would send someone to fix the sink. I finally got them to understand that the sink didn't need fixing... just a flat rubber stopper. But they never were able to find one to put in the room. So just a heads up if you need to wash things out in the sink of one of those rooms bring a flat piece of rubber to plug up the sink or your out of luck.

I read something about the override too. You could always call maintenance if it gets too hot. I worried about that after reading it here as well but when we went last year our room was freezing and it never shut off while we were gone. I kept it up as high as we could get it which was perfect for us. I would think the 4th floor would be the hottest and maybe that is why some people feel it is too hot. I wouldn't worry about it though just call for help if you need it.
