The Groovy New Pop Century FAQ Thread!

I am suppose to be going to Pop in April, but now my plans are up in the air. I've never stayed at Pop, and it sounds great! I have stayed at the All-Stars a couple of times in the past, and I liked them just fine. But I'm thinking I will like Pop better, maybe because it's newer and the bus service might be better. It will be my DD (17) and a friend of mine. We have 2 rooms booked, and got the free upgraded water park feature. But now my daughters school has scheduled the ACT test for two of the days we will be gone! So I was thinking of changing the ressies to May around the 17-23. But I think this would mean a change in resort..I might move over to an All-star Music suite. Does anybody have any ideas on this? Do you think it will be busier then? Another reason I was thinking this might be a good idea is because they are having Grad night in April on the 20/21 and 27/28. I'm afraid there will be alot of High Schoolers hanging around. My ressie in April is for the 22-27, so I won't be there on the actual weekend, but it still might be busy. Does anybody have any experience with this? Sorry for the long post...I get kind of long winded sometimes!

DH wants to know is there a place in Disney (maybe in Pops gift shop) where we can have our digital pictures burned onto disks? I know that at Walmart they do it here.

I don't remember there being one in the Pop gift shop, but I'm not sure about in the parks. That would be awesome because then you could burn them onto Cds as you go and then erase them to make more room on your camera. Hopefully someone knows for sure. If they do have them, I'm sure they cost an arm and a leg.

May would be less busy than April for the most part. I have gone a few times and just loved it. You most likely won't have to change resorts, unless you want too. But you may lose the upgrade on your tickets.

My parents and neice are tagging along and I am now feeling a little guilty splurging on a Moderate. After reading all the posts and great comments about POPs I might change my mind. I was a little worried about POP Warner kids beign around part of our stay and it being loud. That was one of the reasons for booking POFQ. Are the POP Warner kids really as bad as I hear or is POP's big enough for us all? I guess I just need some reassuring. The site as been very helpful so far. So happy to know there are other crazy Disney fans around!

The Pop Warner kids will NOT be at Pop Century. They will be at the AS resorts and I think one or two of the moderates (depended on how many Pop people will be there.) I'm staying at Pop Century on Dec 8th-19th, so I might run into you there!!!

Thanks for the response. I know it will be more expensive, partly because of the suite and partly because, yes I will lose the free upgrade. But it would be so much better for alot of reasons. Not only will it solve the ACT problem, but we were due to arrive home the day before the prom! The change would relieve alot of stress I think we could also get better flight times, so have more time at the parks Now I just have to check to make sure we aren't missing finals!

I wish I could put you in...Our next swapper already has the info of the next person with her and I beleive is gone. She check in to POP today infact. I'm so sorry....Go bang on her door and make her share coffee with you....lol...also tell her I said HI.

I was looking at that week in Dec. last Dec. and Pop Warner was staying there as well as the All Stars. In fact Pop was booked when I looked into it, so we decided to do a trip this year, (which we did a few weeks ago) I have heard they aren't too bad at POP, but they are there. And they usually clog up the food court in the morning mostly. But for the most part it isn't oo bad, but it will be crowded.

This may sound stupid but what it POP Warner? And I keep hearing about "Jersey Week" too. Jersey week is the week I am there. What is that?? Should I be worried about crowds??
