I just saw the note about Staples not having free delivery for Rewards members after March 31.... that forces me to order the water a week in advance. Will Pop hold the water for that long?

This is messing up my plans... I need to not stress about the small stuff, right?:confused3

POP will hold your packages for upto 2 weeks. After that who knows where they go. Hopefully that helps.

i just got back from pop this morning after a week at disney. it was my 1st time stayin at a value resort and i was a little sceptical. but overall it was great time. i was with my GF and it was 1st time goin without the rents so i wanted to save some money and stayin at pop was a great way to do so.
great place for the money and i loved how its the only hotel stop when taking the bus to the parks. ive stayed at many resorts where there a few stops before even making it to a park and after a while it gets old.

We ordered a styrofoam cooler for $7 from garden grocer, worked great, we passed it on to someone at the pool as we left fo home:3dglasses[/QUOTE]

How do you order from garden grocer? Is it a store?

the coffee at POP and im sure most of WDW is Nescafe!! ewwwwww

thank goodness i drink tea all the time and they have twinings brand tea as well as the nasty nescafe brand tea!!

I went over to epcot to buy a box of flavored twinings tea as another option!

Okay. I just have to post. First, I am a self admitted hotel snob. Our family (we have AP) wanted to take a quick and cheap trip to WDW over spring break. I got a good deal at POP and thought, okay... worst case we leave, no big deal. Well, we stayed for 2 nights in the 60's bldg, and the only complaint I had the whole time was the check-in line - about 30 min. POP had a ton of people working behind the desk, so it wasn't their fault, just a lot of people to check in.

Buses were fantastic. Room was fine. Yes loud toilets, I just didn't flush at night. Gift shop was great! So great I got my daughter a cinderella castle dollhouse for her birthday, its in july btw :rotfl2: , and had it shipped so she wouldn't see it til the big date. It arrived last night!

Pool/pool bar great! Beds are okay... one was a bit lumpy. Probably time to start thinking of mattress replacement. No remote control for tv, DH spent a long time looking for it :lmao:

I knew going in no room service, concerige, etc...... but saving well over $300/night???? (compared to deluxe concierge level, or home away from home resorts) It was so worth it!!!!

As a side note, we also did Hoop Dee Doo, which we all had big fun at. However, the sangria is included... don't make the mistake I did and drink it like water - your head will hurt the next day! Not so fun doing theme park rides with a big headache!!!:lmao:

So will I go back to POP??? You bet !!!!! Again and again at these rates. And thanks for all the great tips/advice on these posts!

www.gardengrocer.com

They are fantastic! Delivery charge (I think $10) for the first delivery, then any others during the same stay are free.

We order before we leave home for delivery on our first morning.

:scared1: <<<< that face is not from me, but from my DH!!! he will FREAK OUT if there's no remote. that's how he falls asleep at night....changing the channels while laying in bed. i'm fine w/out tv...i'll just read. so not having a remote is okay with me. but NOT him!!! do you think it was just your room that someone swiped it from or is it like this in every room??????

by the way, thanks for the great review about everything else. makes me feel like we made the right choice! :thumbsup2

Don't know whether other rooms had them - never saw one so assumed there wasn't one...... anyone else know the answer??:confused3

There was a remote in our room too. I remember it being somewhere odd though when we first got to the room, maybe on the side of the tv, but I really can't remember.

phew!!!!!! :faint: no remote would NOT be a good start to our WDW trip for DH!!! i know, i know...how pathetic that he depends on such things! that's just him, though. being technologically advanced has its drawbacks....like you freak out when the technology isn't there! :rotfl:

just got back today actually from pop and we had a remote.

i just wanna say that for the money you cant beat pop. cause i too am a hotel snob ive always stayed at deluxe resorts with the fam and those are great but me and GF wwanted a cheap get away but still have the whole disney expierence and pop let us do that. however, that said if you want a quiet get away dont do pop. lots and lotsssss of kids at pop

Hi. Just found this thread. I added a couple days onto our Thanksgiving trip. I made online reservations at Pop. Do I have to wait until I get there to make my requests or can I call and request them now. Example-building, smoking preference.
