Regarding the iced coffee question....I don't see why not...fill the mug with ice and add the coffee which is always out there by the pop!! I looooves iced coffee too!!! I get hot tea at night in mine, so I don't see why coffee would be any diff!!! Have fun!;)

It's simple.. b/c hot coffe + ice does NOT = ice coffee!! :sad2: If you are a big coffee drinker, it's just not the same at all... when you brew ice coffee, you brew it 2x the strength to make up for the ice (use to work at Dunkin' Donuts!) :thumbsup2
And that's my coffee lesson! :lmao:

Yes, you are quite right, Caitsmama. And iced nescafe flavored water just does not appeal to me. Not quite sure why...

The questions and comments on coffee made me remember my value resort mocha - half bad nescafe coffee, half hot chocolate, a bit of cream for good measure. It isn't the best tasting coffee drink but it is tastier than the nescafe and a good way to have some chocolate in the morning!

I tried that last trip and didn't realize that they were just about out of powder in the hot chocolate machine, so it really watered down bad nescafe coffee. I think next time I'll just drink dirty dish water!:rotfl2:

This is good to know, last time I stayed at one of the All-Stars I thought the mattress was so uncomfortable. Considering Pop for next trip and the one thing making me not thrilled about it is the hard mattress. Have you stayed at an All-Star? How would you say the new Pop mattresses compare to the ones at AS?

Super soft.. I was kinda shocked when I hopped on the bed yesterday. They're much nicer than what we had at ASMo last August. I think you'll love sleeping here. ;) No pillow top is true. I even took a pic after remembering that discussion on here. :rotfl:

And just because I like talking about our stays at POP...

We had a bad POP stay. I hope it was just the icky weather but no one was all that happy at check in. The CM acted like we weren't there and zoomed through everything she needed to say. She even ignored our son when he spoke to her! Sooo not like POP usually is...

Even more fun.. We asked for bed rails at 3pm, during check-in. By 10pm, when we got back from MK, they weren't there. I called and asked again. By 11pm, dh decides to go to ask in person. They claim we never requested them! Uhhh yeah.. We had twice by then. On his walk back, someone shows up with them. Everyone goes to sleep. Just before 1am, another CM wakes us all up to bring yet another set.. Geesh! Lesson learned, handle bed rail issues immediately after getting to your room, I guess! :lmao:

One more decade to go and we've managed to hit them all in a year! :woohoo:

Wow!! This is an amazing, very informative thread! Thank you for putting it together and sharing this info.! :thumbsup2

Hi all --

I've tried to read a lot of this thread, but I can't get through all of it. So, I apologize if this is a repeat.

Has anyone ever purchased spirits from Everything Pop!? I thought about buying a smallish bottle of something so we could have an adult beverage at night before we turn in. I know we could go to the Petals Bar, but I could probably save a lot by buying an overpriced bottle of whatever than buying a drink each night.

I have never done this but it is a good idea, I will have to try this also since the mixed drinks are like $10 or more a piece.

Yes. The gift shop has what you what--airplane size and half-pints--and the prices aren't unreasonable. :)

Hi! I have enjoyed reading the thread in anticipation of our stay at Pop in June. The last couple of days I have been studying the maps and I could use some help making our room request.

We would like:
1. An Epcot/Fireworks view,
2. A room not terribly far from the food court, and
3. To be not terribly far from the parking lot (we are driving).

I booked a preferred room and requested an Epcot/Fireworks view on our reservation, but based on the maps I am looking at, I am not seeing how both will possible.

Any ideas on which building to request? We are willing to drop the "Preferred" if it will mean getting the Epcot/Fireworks view.

Thanks so much,
Jennifer

Last December we stayed Preferred at POP. We were in building 6 and one night we walked all the way to the back of the building on the 4th floor and we had a very small view of the fireworks. Are there better views??? Probably, but I don't think you are gonna get a spectacular view from any building there.

You can't get both. If you're paying for preferred, you can't have a fireworks view.

Also check the refrigerated section of the food court. I know they sell wines and I think the mini bottles of champange.

Very, very true. When you add enough cream and sugar, you can't taste it at all.:goodvibes That's why DH and I decided for our trip this October to by a mini Keurig coffee pot and we'll order creamer and the cups from Amazon and not have to worry about drinking watered down coffee. I'm just a spoiled barista at heart>

Last trip, i also bought a bunch of "nips" of different flavors of Malibu rum, and brought them in my checked luggage.. then just bought some juice when we got there - had several tropical drinks for a tiny fraction of the cost.. ;)

Exactly why I wanted to mix my own sometimes! :goodvibes

Garden Grocer will pick up some alcohol, beer and wine I know if you have a minmum order !!

Thanks! I'll check out their minimum order. We don't want a lot (okay, maybe, but we'll refrain).

Thanks! That's what I was hoping for -- not unreasonable!

Sweet!

I had thought of doing that, but our next shorter trip is "carry-on" only. Thanks!
