I apologize if this is a repeat, I just didn't have a chance to read through the entire thread...does anyone have a current update on which rooms/buildings have been refurbished thus far? I'm going at the end of May and trying to figure out if it's worth requesting a "new" room or just leaving it up to fate!

Today just paid off our WDW end of our trip July the 3rd to the 10th:cool1::cool1: with delux Dinning. Now to pay off part# 1 and #3 June 29th to the 3rd of July at DLR and July the 10th to the 13th at Hard rock. We me and my DS are so excited we ca hardly wait. The good part about planing so far out Is It gave me plenty of time to save but waiting Is soooooo hard!. But I am haveing so much fun planing and saveing for It.

Buildings 6, 8 & 9 so far. Unless anyone has an update.

Ugh The only thing with the new rooms. I can't stand the new dresser set up. We are going for 10 days and there is 4 of us. I can see a major headache with only 3 draws. I guess we will have to live out of our suitcases or move to a moderate. Plus they never have enough hangers in the bathroom area. Last year all our dirty clothes went in a bag above the hanger area. Which worked. But we also had all our extra stuff up there.

We only bring 2 suitcases so it is not like I over pack.

Any suggestions?

We didn't find that the dressers at the mods had any more room.

What I do is before the trip I decide what each of us is wearing each day (except DH, he told me no. :rolleyes1). Then I put the clothes for the first half of our trip in the first drawer. All of our socks, undies, and pjs in the 2nd drawer and leave the 3rd drawer for DH. After the 1/2 way point, I put the remaining clothes in our suitcase in the top drawer and put all the dirty clothes in the suitcase or wash/put them in the suitcase.

I usually wash my shorts halfway through anyway, so they go back in the drawer. Hope that helps!

really? what are they thinking....mostly family of 3-4 people, usually for 5 plus days and all they give you is three drawers....really?

well for my younger kids i have packed their entire outfits in ziplocs before...that would work to keep them in the suitcase and pull them out each day...

we are driving down so i guess i will bring some extra hangers from dollar tree!! i always bring a collapsible hamper for dirty clothes and we either do some laundry mid trip or i stuff it into one "dirty clothes" suitcase when we leave!!!

I'm thinking the same way. I guess that we'll need to hang as much stuff up as we can. The question is whether to pack extra hangers or ask for them from housekeeping.

Where are the laundry mats located and does anyone know the hours?:laundy:

From the main POP page:

Coin-operated laundry machines are available
$2 each for the washer and an approximate 20 minute dryer cycle
locations are in poolside bathroom buildings in courtyards of 50’s, 60’s, and 90’s decades
buildings are open 24 hours, but after about 9:00 pm, you have to use your KTTWC to get in
a change machine and laundry product vending machine are in the service building; detergent and dryer sheets can be purchased here or in Everything Pop

Coin-operated laundry machines are available in the bathroom buildings near the pools (50's, 60's and 90's). The buildings are open 24 hours but you will need your room key to get in after 9pm. It is $2 each for the washer and the dryer. The dryer does not run for long so I found that I had to run it twice to get my clothes dry. There is a also a change machine and a vending machine that sells laundry soap and dryer sheets. (I can't remember the price but it's definitely cheaper to bring your own :)) You can find pictures and more information about Pop facilities on the very first page of this thread.

Sorry for repeating you Tammyroo. I got distracted while writing my answer to carly chloe and by the time I posted it yours was already there. :)

Can I ask how many in your party? How did you manage with 3 draws ? We love pop but I need to figure out a system for the draw useage or lack of. I had a hard time last year with 6 draws. I see there is cubby's but that is where we put our extra stuff last year. Soviners ect where stored there.

Dh answer is just stay at a moderate. But I'm afraid I will miss POP.

I won't give up POP but the dressers are tooooo small !! I am thinking maybe ther is more room as the Huge dresser/TV stand is gone I guess we will be living outta suit cases !!:rotfl2:

It's gonna be hard to deal with those tiny dressers. I liked the old ones much better! They should have kept them and just put the TV on the top and added shelves or drawers to where the tv was! It just puts a kink on being there for 10 days with 4 people in the room! Maybe if enough people complain about the complete lack of storage space they will change it....doubtful but it's worth a shot!

Wow the new dressers do look smaller. I guess the hanging orginzers you can buy will come in handy. I can see putting smaller items like socks and kids clothes in them and hang it up in the closet. One good thing is it help to cut down on the un packing time. Leaving more time for the pool or parks. Or my personal fav, shopping. :)
