I can't say it enough: You have got to try the pizza from Giordano's. It's incredible! I can't remember which location delivers to Pop, but if you call the wrong one, they'll tell you which one you should call.

Do they deliver to the front desk or your room? THanks, I checked the webpage that pizza looks great!

Does anyone know if they sell helium balloons in The Everything Pop shop?
It's my bf birthday when we are staying there and i want to decorate our room while he is sleeping and pop over to the shop to buy some birthday bits

I don'tthink they do, but they do have something where they will deliver stuff to your room, and have it there when you come back from the parks...it is pricey though.

I really don't remember seeing them, but I could be wrong. We'll be there over the weekend, so I'll check for you if there isn't an answer before then. :goodvibes

Thanks that will be great if you could :thumbsup2:goodvibes

Yea i have been looking at that very Pricey :( i just wanna be able to do it all myself before he wakes up i'm sure i will find a way :thumbsup2

I read about decorating the windows and whatnot, obviously we're not going with kids, but do you think it'd be weird if we decorated our window with "Just Married?" Or would that be too weird?
Absolutely NOT weird! Congrats on the wedding, and your Upcoming Disneymoon! And - :welcome: !

You could also put up a dry erase board on your door (use one of those 3M hooks) so ppl can write well wishes to you!
Great idea!!!! :thumbsup2

Does anyone know - do they have double/double connecting rooms on the 4th floor or the various buildings, or only on ground level floors?

Sorry if this is a basic question but someone has advised me all the connecting rooms are ground level access only.

We stayed in building 2 last year...2nd floor...connecting rooms with 2 double beds in each.

3 full days until we get there...

EHHH!! First post!!! I don't think typing enough !!!!!!! can exactly state how excited I am! FH and I made reservations yesterday for our Disneymoon (I refuse to call it a honeymoon...) and we're staying at Pop Century! We were pretty excited when we saw the pictures on line, and then someone told me to come here and register and read the threads, and this was the first thread I read and now on a scale of 1 to 10 of excitement, I'm about a 50!

This place rocks!! (as in disboards.com, I never knew this place existed and I'm so glad I found it!!:goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

I am so jealous!!!!!!!!!!!! I never got a Honeymoon, we were engaged and set to wed.....then came Sept. 11th! His leave was canceled and we were unsure when he would make it home! He called one day and said Ill be there tomorrow and I called the JOP and boom, we were married and a few days later he was gone again! By the time he came home again I was preggo ( it was a fun week) and again no Honeymoon! I would have loved to have gone to Disney with just him. I think its a great place for families and couple alike! We are planning a cruise next year for our 10 year and are planning a land and sea! I guess Ill get my Disneymoon then!!!!!! COngrats on the wedding and DECORATE AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's your day...noone elses, do what you want!

Good morning POP People! We're leaving in 15 days (YEEEEEESSSS!) And I want to try to stay in one of the newly refurb'd rooms.. should I call WDW's reservation line and put the request there or wait till closer then call POP and request directly? Or both??

Thanks!

We've also had connecting rooms on the 4th floor of bldgs 2, 3 and 4 at POP. Whoever told you that is very misinformed. Some of the wrong info out there is astonishing sometimes!

So my 4 year old DS has been talking about returning to Pop all week! He keeps talking about the bowling pin pool (we had a 60's room and used the flower pool most of the time but I took him on a field trip to the bowling pin pool and he thought it was hilarious that there were bowling bowls by the pool).

He's actually got me thinking about it and I've been pricing out going to Star Wars Weekend (he's a new SW fan).
The winter-summer room discount makes it doable - its the park tickets that kill my budget. I was even thinking "I could bring a box of uncrustables and the milk boxes to save on meals".

Am I ridiculous for even entertaining the thought? :rotfl2:

Hi all:) we are staying at Pop for the 2nd year running in May. Last year I faxed through a room request, but they never got it and we got a room in the 80's block - this was fine, but a little far too walk for a quick snack/drink for us or dd. I would like to get a room in 50's or 70's this year and have been advised to fax/call 10 days prior to departure - how definite is a room request? Actually I dont htink we even want a specfic room, just block :thumbsup2 love the pop thread:lovestruc helped me no end with our first trip last year:worship:

I sent a fax using the number in the first page of the thread and I used online check-in ahead of time. I got almost exactly what I asked for. Though it's never a sure thing. I think getting your request has the most to do with how full they are.

Well, you are asking the wrong group here if it's ridiculous to even consider it! ;)

My kids are adults now, but when they were young we would get that "get me out of here" winter urge and take a long weekend to Disney - back then our only options were the CR, Poly or Golf Resort, but rack rate was less than $100, so off we'd go for 3/4 ngts from Boston. Tkts are the crunch, but sign up for www.mousesavers.com newsletter and check out the link to discounted tkts - we used it a couple of times. The mousesavers discount is only available through the newsletter link. I might have one - just pm.

Nope, don't think you are crazy at all - if you can good airfare, why not? It's makin' memories with your son. :)

You're not crazy at all!! I took 3 trips to Disney last year! One was with my 2 kids and my mom, one was with just me and my 2 kids, and one was with just me and my sister- no kids (my husband is a Disney-hater, so he declined to join me)!

Have you done the Give A Day, Get a Day promotion yet? We signed up to make blankets for project linus and my 6 year old daughter was able to participate. So, we got 3 free tickets, and you can pay to upgrade them to multi-day passes. Unfortunately, I think you have to be at least 6 to do it. So, my 3 year old son didn't get a ticket.

Happy 10th anniversary! And, thank you to you and your DH for your sacrifices for our comfort. :grouphug:

This is the DIS, nothing's ridiculous! Personal note tho, SW weekends are HUGELY CROWDED in THAT section of HS (MGM). The rest of the park is virtually empty, but if you have a SW fan, be prepared for CROWDS. jmho We were there in 2006 one day that weekend. An early start is a great idea, but it FILLS UP quickly, in that area.

Thanks to my fellow Poppers for your sage advice on interconnecting rooms.

Sorry if this questions has been asked a MILLION times already (well, maybe not a million but you know what I mean) but does anyone know when the refurbs are due to be completed?

We'll be there in September, and I'd love the kids to have some refurbished rooms, especially with the privacy curtains next to the vanity unit. They'd be very handy.

I'm hoping to stay in the 50's section again. :goodvibes

We stayed at CBR last year. I went to the Custom House and asked for balloons as it was DD7 birthday. They gave me balloons that said congrats because they were out of birthday balloons free of charge! Just ask at the front desk during check-in. We also had bought a medium stuffed Minnie from the Disney Store at home and hid it in the suitcase. We put it in bed with her while she was sleeping! When she woke up, she was so excited that Mickey had came to see her while she was sleeping!! I had gotten the balloons later in the day. I told her the front desk had called and said there was something there for her. What a great day!!
