My dog, a rescue who came to me way underweight and scared of the world, sat on my lap yesterday. She's a 61-lbs. boxer, so not exactly a lapdog, but after three months in my care, we're finally to this point. I was elated (except for the elbow in the kidney part). Yay, Tasha!!!

My best friend is halfway through her chemo treatments for breast cancer!

It's really hit me hard because she's my age. I think of us as fairly young (30ish) so it was kind of unexpected. She's in the home stretch to beat this thing then she's taking her little princesses to Disney to celebrate!

I lost my wallet on Thursday-it must have fallen out of my purse when I was rushing to a work meeting. I was in a very seedy area of the town I work in & I just assumed the worst. I was so upset about it. But today this really nice man found me on Facebook & he found it on the street last Thursday & had been trying to find me to return it. We just picked it up a few hours ago. I felt really bad assuming the worst about the neighborhood I was in at the time, but it was truly a good lesson learned that there are still good people out there.
