I have a question ** How can it be Brenda when she was on a plane with Sonny? ** and ** Does anyone know how she is being written off? **

I'll try to catch you up before tomorrow's episode.

Robin found the syringe at the Haunted Star. It was sitting behind some liquor bottles, practically in plain sight. I'm surprised Luke or Ethan didn't see it and toss it in the trash. Lisa solved her clue and ran in just after Robin found it. Lisa tried to take it, but Robin knocked her to the ground and ran (loved it!).

We don't know who hit Jake, but there is a list of possible suspects. Carly was rushing to the hospital to be with Josslyn after Jax called and said she was there with a fever. Luke was rushing to Lucky and Sibbohan's wedding. Sam was trying to find a Balkan henchman but had one of her headaches and pulled off to the side of the road. While she was sitting in her car, she heard sirens, indicating that she was near Elizabeth's house when they were coming for Jake. Sonny and Brenda were on their way to the airport for their honeymoon. Theo and Suzanne were on their way to find their grandson, although they didn't show them on the road until after Jake was hit. Robin was racing back to the hospital with the syringe with crazy Lisa hot on her tail. Soap Opera Digest made it look like Sam was guilty, but in a roundabout way so it doesn't mean it's true. I don't see how they could possibly have Sam be guilty of killing Jason's son. The magazine also said Carly will wonder if she's guilty at some point and feel terrible since Josslyn is getting Jake's kidneys. I loved it when Luke told Tracy that Jake was in bad shape and that he's actually a Quartermaine. Tracy looked genuinely sad, as did Luke.

I don't remember exactly when or if Suzanne told Theo their grandson existed. He is bent on finding the kid and Suzanne led him to a house where she thought the child was being raised. The house turned out to be vacant.

I, too, would have loved to see Jake grow up and wonder about his parentage. Maybe he would even become a little bad boy, much to his cop-dad Lucky's dismay. It would have been fun to see. Too bad they chose to kill such an important little character with such potential for the future!

Thanks :)

I also wondered about Theo's grandson-did I miss it when he found out for sure that the grandson existed? I've decided that the writing lately really stinks. There's so much inconsistency, rewriting of history, etc. Lots of those actors are so good, and I feel so bad. I read yesterday that Vanessa Marcil might leave earlier than originally planned. I don't blame her-although she's a good actress, I feel bad about what they've made Brenda into. Such a whiny **tch.

I have erased the last 2 1/2 weeks of episodes from my dvr, didn't watch them. Instead I put on Grey's Anatomy on the Blu-ray through netflix, its pretty sad, I'd rather watch old episodes that GH lately.

I'm glad Becky is staying, but don't understand why they had to kill of Jake :(

So not liking this story line basically because it is a been there done that storyline. I really hope that they didn't pay the writers to come up with this. Can anyone else remember BJ and Maxie?

I do think that the actors portraying Elizabeth, Lucky, and Jason are doing a wonderful job.

AND...what were they thinking, Carly has never had one nice thing to say to Elizabeth and now she is pleading......I wish Elizabeth had the opportunity to slap her face. AND...Jason needs to grow some and walk away from Carly. She is becoming a real unlikable person and quite frankly I wish that they would write her off.

Man, Carly was awful. Just obnoxious.

What was great storytelling with BJ & Maxie was that Felicia didn't ask Bobbie for BJs heart. Felicia was sick that BJ was Maxie's donor. Carly is running around all gitty that Jake is dead. Surprised she hasn't cut out the kidney herself.

I also don't know why they picked Jake to die. He was a Webber & a Quartermaine. 2 of the original core families. Why not Cameron? That sounds horrible but he's got no real connection. Zander is dead.

The same transplant story could happen with Cameron but you keep all the other years of story intact.

Jake alive seems to have far more story than Jake dead.

Here's my theory on why they chose to kill Jake. I've read that Jason and Sam will be having a baby together. There's no way Jason could have another baby while denying that Jake is his child. This gives him the chance to realize how much he missed out on by not being in Jake's life. He'll wish he could have done it differently, and he will when Sam has a baby. I certainly don't agree with killing a little Weber/Quartermaine. He had great storyline potential as he got older. And I do remember the BJ/Maxie story very well. Why the heck do we have to go there again?

Very good theory indeed  ... and I agree, why another organ donor story with the kids? :sad2: ...

I've been watching OLTL instead of GH for the last week. Plenty of people over 40 with real storylines...and I've seen so many characters, not just 4 or 6...I think I'm staying. Plus, 2 new babies, none in peril so far. And -- I saw 2 people over 50 in bed together today, and they weren't reading the paper! Jake was my last straw for GH.

True enough about the characters over 40. They have a more mature cast in addition to the array of mindless teenage crapola. While I appreciate that about OLTL....I'm totally turned off by the "Tess, Jess" storyline. Between her and "Vickie/Nickie"...the storyline is ICKIE! :laughing:They are really beating a dead horse with that stuff. :rolleyes1
I was a little disappointed with Luke yesterday. All about himself. He really did belong at the hospital with Lucky..(or unlucky as I call him most of the time, whoever named that kid sure jinxed him).

I have a question about something Sam said in Monday's episode. I'll preface by saying that I've watched this show since highschool and used to know everything about all the characters. But around late 2005 I quit watching becuase I just never had time anymore. Well when I found out Brenda would be returning I started watching again. She used to be one of my favorites on the show. And now I'm hooked again. Most of the time I can figure out the backstory enough but this is bugging me.

So anyway, Sam went into the police station and asked Dante if she could help him. She said something about not being able to be at the hospital becuase of a really bad choice she made in the past. Or something along those lines. Can someone fill me in on what she was talking about?

She had Jake Kidnapped. Or watched while he got kidnapped. Only one cup of coffee this morning;)

Yes, she stood by and did nothing while Jake was being taken from his stroller at the park. Sam was insanely jealous that Jason had a child with Elizabeth. She didn't intentionally harm Jake, but was in the park when Elizabeth turned her back for a second. A crazy woman who wanted a baby came by and snatched him. Sam could have intervened, but she kind of froze up and said nothing. Jason found out later and broke up with her. But, they got back together eventually.

Found this here http://generalhospital.about.com/od/articlesandprofiles/a/ElizabethSpencer4A.htm

Sam wanted a baby, but she had been told that she could not conceive. Armed with the information about baby Jake, Sam's and Jason's relationship quickly deteriorated, and her hatred of Elizabeth grew.

One day, she was standing in the park watching Maureen, a bereaved mother who had taped a segment earlier on Sam's show. Maureen grabbed Jake and took off. Sam did nothing about it.

Lainey was afraid that Elizabeth had hurt Jake as a result of postpartum depression. Jason knew that couldn't be true and yelled at Lucky for not believing in his wife.

Amelia Joffee, Sam's producer, informed Jason about Sam's true feelings. She told him about Sam's past of using aliases, marrying and stealing money from each husband. Jason didn't care about that, but he had not known that Sam was aware of Jake's true paternity.

Jason was in prison for Lorenzo Alcazar's murder; once released, Amelia helped him find Jake. When Amelia called Maureen about a matter involving the show, she heard a baby crying in the background. Since Maureen's baby had died in a fire, Amelia wondered about what she heard. Amelia and Jason went to Maureen's house and found Jake. They also learned from Maureen that Sam was a witness to the kidnapping.

Jason returned the baby to Elizabeth. Lucky returned home, saw Jason, called the police and demanded that he be taken back into custody since he had violated his bail by crossing county lines. He was jealous that Jason had saved the day.
