I actually like Poe, particularly from a "technical" standpoint!
I need more space for books in my apartment.
Hehe, your Poe commentary reminded me why I only teach junior high students. I don't appreciate literary techniques the way you do. I just know I have to teach it. When I teach all those things to my students (when they're only concerned about the plot), I always remind them that even if you don't notice it when reading it, you would notice it if an author didn't use them because it would be dry writing. Like, having them search for similes and metaphors sometimes seems pointless to them, but once I explain that, they do appreciate it more. Haha, I guess I still have JHS mentality too.
I definitely need more bookshelf space! Right now I have one tall one and then a short one. Then since I went to seminary for a year, I have a ton more underneath a coffee table! That's the main thing I want in my house ... a library! That's why Beast's gift to Belle was the most romantic, haha.
So when we were all together a week ago and I was reflecting on having a 30-y-o sibling, my dad said, "You know, you can start having kids anytime. We're ready to be grandparents." And I'm like, "Well, wouldn't you want us to be married to someone first?" Sheesh!
Haha, that's so funny! My mom thinks more ahead. My dad, on the other hand, has only begun to accept the fact that Weird's my guy. When we dated the first time around, my dad would just have this odd smirk on his face when Weird was mentioned. My dad's the kind of person who wants me to remain single for a long time because he's very protective.
Cinderella was just envious.

After all, Prince Charming was nowhere to be found, so she didn't have his arm to hold on to. Other princesses--such as Belle--are more independent and capable of functioning on their own.
In the TRs that I've read, I've noticed that Belle is in the blue town dress at Cinderella's Royal Table whereas all the other princesses are in their ballgowns. Belle is definitely so much more secure since she can do that. She knows it's her intelligence that's attractive! Plus, she's the one who can see past appearances as she begins to like the Beast! Haha, wow, I don't know that I've ever thought about the differences between Belle and the other princesses!
World of Disney looks like lots of fun!
I have never been to the NYC version, but it looks like there is stuff to see everywhere.
I love Belle too, because she is always reading.
Good for you, meeting Pluto and Goofy. You look a lot happier meeting Pluto, than in the photo of you as a little kid meeting Pluto.
Unfortunately Weird told me that the WoD store in NYC is closing. They're moving locations and it's going to be smaller or something? I forgot the whole story, but I remember reading something about it somewhere else on the boards.
Exactly! Too bad everyone in the town thinks that it's an odd hobby!
Haha, I didn't even realize that! I forgot that I had that Pluto picture from when I was a kid!
It was the buffalo, wasn't it?

I
think there's some in the DC museums, too. Be aware!
Haha, that's it exactly! Of course, they have one of the largest displays in that exhibit! Even if I'm in the planetarium, I think I'd be able to feel their presence! Thanks for the warning! I'll have to be extremely cautious! I think it was a museum in DC where there's a stuffed buffalo right next to an elevator ... like it wasn't behind glass or anything, it was just there. I'll have to ask my mom about that to see if she remembers. I'd have to take the stairs ...
I've been wanting to see Spamalot. Did you like it?
Lion King is one of my favorites also and we're seeing Wicked for the first time later this month. I'm so excited! I think Aida is my favorite. Have you seen that one? I'm dying to see The Little Mermaid on Broadway.
Yep! I did like Spamalot. We didn't have great seats since we were in the balcony ($42). Only during intermission did we move since I was 3 rows behind a pole. Yep, a pole.
We had Stephen Collins (the 7th Heaven guy) as King Arthur. Then Drew Lachey (the 98 degrees guy) was Patsy. I may be a little biased in terms of judging the women who played the Lady of the Lake because I had seen Sara Ramirez (the Grey's Anatomy girl) sing that part during the Tony Awards and was blown away.
The jokes from Spamalot were funny. I thought of it as more guy humor (haha, and at times, the men in the audience were laughing so hard!). I don't know if I would have understood it all or caught more of the jokes if I hadn't seen the Monty Python movie years ago. But some of the cruder jokes just flew over my head. There was one part (that I can't write about here!) that caused the audience to laugh for a LONG time, and I sat there kind of dumbfounded. I had heard the words for what they were supposed to be, not the dirty version. Haha, later on I had to ask Weird why everyone was laughing ...
Overall though, I would recommend it because it is really funny. I'm sure a TON of references just flew over my head because the older man next to me laughed at different things. I'm sure if I were to see or hear it again years from now, I'd probably understand different things!
But Wicked is AMAZING. I was lucky to see it with Idina Menzel as Elphaba! My aunt always got good tickets for us too so we always get good orchestra seats. I was initially a little scared of going because I'm terrified of the Wizard of Oz (hehe, I'm scared of a lot of things, aren't I ...). Let me know what you think of it after you see it!
And no, I haven't seen Aida. The majority of the shows I've seen weren't necessarily my choice. I saw "Kiss Me Kate" and "The Scarlet Pimpernel" in high school (you know, because they're related to academics~ haha). Then the rest I've seen (the Disney ones, etc.) with my aunt who got tickets at work, which is why I got spoiled with good seats. The one show I always wanted to see was Grease. I was such a Grease junkie!
I love the Belle PM figure. I don't like PM in general except for the Disney ones. For some reason they're so much cuter than the normal ones.
I love how you made them hold hands!!
I totally agree! I grew up with PM things all the time ... had tons of coloring books, got the dolls + snow globes + figurines as gifts. I thought they were cute and all but it got old ... but once I saw those Disney ones? Ahhh! Love for PM once again!
Hehe, sometimes flat Weird and Ninja would be holding hands in picture before real Weird and I started dating ... flirting via the flats
You just can't get away from those Buffalo can you!? That made me laugh!
I think they know ... they're starting to gang up on me ...
It's not just the princesses. Prince Caspian asked me the same question! I do love the way they ask.
Definitely makes me interested in visiting characters the next time I'm at WDW!
That store looks amazing!! I wish we had one even close to that around here. If u can't get to a disney park that looks like a pretty good alternative. I haven't seen a
disney store like that outside the parks ever. You are lucky to be able to go there. I am sure it is probably helping with the magic thing since vmk is gone. So much fun, and good luck the two of you, u seem like such a cute couple!!!
Yep! That was our thought exactly. As close to WDW as we can get for now. Even the Disney store is fun! As well as craft stores ... and Target ... haha, Disney is everywhere if you know where to look. And thanks

we hope to stay together for quite a longgg time
