tell Beano that you use a wire instead of some flimsy ribbon across the top and use a twist tie to attach it to the fish. We could even run a wire all the way around those suckers to keep them there.

We kinda have to do these now. Our delivery ladies would be disappointed to be out of a job before they even start. That's all I'm sayin'. There are 3 little peeps who are anxiously awaiting playing Secret Minnies.

You all just start thinking about what you might like to bring for everyone (something for just the kids? one little thing for each family? up to you.) I need the following to be PM'd to me: your favorite Disney (or other) character and your room number. NEITHER of these will be given out to anyone and I promise not to "ding dong ditch" anyone.

yes, yes please to be designing shirts soon - and none of that nasty yellowy stuff that makes so many of us look sick. Kudos to those of you who look good in it. I just look... sickly.

Ok - that pink fish extender was purchased on Ebay. So dontcha go thinking we will cop out and buy them.

If'n you want to stay simple I read where one person just went to Michaels and bought a small canvas tote bag - she even found a lime green one - and used fabric paint to customize it. So that would be easy.

Beano - don't be a pooh head. Such negativity. Besides don't think if mine disappears I won't send my DD Ryan all over that ship to steal it back! Blinky little pirate head magnents are one thing but don't be touching my fish extender!

Cheri- I am guessing 2 or 3 pockets max also. Maybe the top one for Moms and Dads and the bottom one for the kiddos.

If I get the pattern down I will "mass produce" a few for others. I want to go to the JoAnns fabrics in Modesto today and see if I can find Disney fabric. Besides a quilting store the only fabric to be had in Tracy proper is in Wal-Mart.:scared: I don't ususally go there but maybe just for novelty scrap fabric I will be brave. But not sure they would have the other stuff - bias tape and whatnot.?? decisions, decisions.

Aqua and yellow!? Now there is a color combo eh? Least we know she dreams in colors! That is a sign of intelligence they say.:)

OH!! booked flights last night. $328/pp not too bad. We are on the 6am flight out of Oakland (thats gonna hurt) but we arrive at MCO at 3:35 pm. so will arrange the limo and stop for alcohol if anyone needs me to. We should be at Radisson in time for dinner on Friday night!:woohoo: If I need to be picking up alcohol for anyone PM me your specific needs/wants. I will do what I can to find everything.

Now - its playoff time. Please excuse me while I go watch pre-game shows!

ok, I have one 1/2 finished in half an hour. Have the bottom pocket on and it doesn't look too bad but nowhere near what we've seen. I checked on ebay and there is nothing. When Cas goes to play golf with Dad today I will had over to fabric store #2. If necessary I too shall brave WalMart.

Are anyone else's smileys spread w a y o u t?

WOW! You go Cheri!:woohoo: I have not managed to get out of the house yet. Ok did go get doughnuts this morning with DD and her friend who slept over last night.

Been searching for the fish extender thread to see if there are any other pattern hints. Cannot find it?? But found a pattern online with little sewing so thinking I could manage this. Will give it a shot.

If there is one thing I hve learned from my last cruise where I met a bunch of Disers its dont pack gifts in checked bags. We each brought something to go in goodie bags and I had lime green tic tacs. We needed them for the meet the first day and wouldnt you know I had packed them in the 1 bag I didnt get until like 6:00 PM. I still have like 20 packs of lime green tic tacs in my cabinent...never to be eaten of course. I really should toss those. :rolleyes1

So, Ill start thinking of something better to get for everyone than tic tacs and Ill be sure to carry them on. ;) How many of us are there? Hmmm, Boston...Lobstah, chowdah, baked beans, cream pie...I better keep thinking. I don't think you all would appreciate World Champs Red Sox stuff (I wont even mention the other team at the risk of cursing them...I bet you Florida peeps would like that today). Maybe Ill go the Disney route.

Thanks for the offers for booze Johnna and Annie. I'm sure Ill bein touch when we get closer. Ya know whats funny...now that I have booked a cruise for next year, all of a sudden this July seems sooooo close! :yay:

ROFL! I just asked DH for ideas of "Boston" stuff and what does he come up with???? SAM ADAMS!!!! Isn't getting that already a problem????:lmao:

WalMart is also my usual stop for fabrics when they're needed - but NOT on a weekend! OMG. No. I ventured out today with DS - he has a poetry assignment due on Wed. that he has yet to bring HOME from school to work on!:sad2: I have asked him about it EVERY day for the past 2 weeks. He has to make a poetry anthology or something. I don't know. I can't get straight answers. The grading is structured so that he needs 13 poems for an 'A'. All diff. umm...I guess themes or subjects. He needs to illustrate and do authors notes....:headache: It sounds like a lot of stuff. And I have no idea what he's got done on it at school. But we needed a book or presentation folder or something for him to put the stuff in. They're writing rough drafts in their notebooks then typing them up at school on the computer - so he was talking about putting them on construction paper and hole punching that and then using YARN...and I was like ummmm. No. It's due on Wed.!! So we went to Staples and argued in there for one solid hour over this perfect little presentation book I found for $5.99 that has 24 stitched in clear pockets with a view pocket on the front - so you can put your title page there & then just slip everything else into the clear pockets. I was like if you wanted to GLUE anything you needed to have brought it home to work on already. OMG. I called DH & told him I was going to leave his son in Staples 'cuz I was sick of him & if he wanted to get him back he could go there to find him! (Of course I didn't...but oh boy was I tempted!)

Then we went to Target. Another wasted hour. He is so hard to shop with! He got a dupe. game for Xmas that we tried to return w/o a receipt - didn't work. Then I had a short post-it note list. I needed to get a get well card for my next door neighbor (she's been in Johns Hopkins all week) and I wanted to look for some fish extender ideas - no luck with anything I had in my mind. I wanted a couple of small clear storage boxes. He had me so distracted that when I got home I found that I'd bought the wrong lid to one of them. Everytime I put something in the cart he was like are we done yet? NO! We are NOT done yet! OMG. It's only 3:00 and I need a drink!:scared:

Him and Cam will make a great team. :rotfl:

:lmao: That's a guy for ya!

I know one person who sews. If I can't figure out something on my own I may have to hit her up for some help. She's the Martha Stewart of the 'hood.

I need to start packing but I can't get a good read on the forecast yet. Weather.com and Accuweather.com are 3-4 degrees off from each other in most of my comparisons except that weather.com is 9 degrees warmer for Sat. nite! Accuweather.com has Sat. nite with a low of 38 now. THAT would be chilly considering we're going to the MK for the evening until close! I started a stack of stuff for DS. TOO big. I wanted to get all 3 of us into one checked bag. But if I put 2 fleece type things & 2 sweatshirts & 2 reg. weight long sleeved things & 2 T-shirts each (in case it's nice) then the stack gets HUGE! I really need the forecast to be for 70's / 50's so I don't have to pack thick cosy stuff! But if it's gonna be 60's during the day & upper 30's - low 40's at nite I need a couple not so heavy things & a couple of warmer things.:headache: I suck at packing!

Hi dudes!

Just thought I'd check in while I have the time. Lord knows I haven't had any time to even think about cruises lately, but I'm using my downtime this weekend to book hotel rooms, limos, etc. so I guess I am in 'cruise mode' for now! (Although I may take a break soon and watch some footy-ball!)

So, it seems all I need to get done is

Book Radisson
Book Hyatt
Book Doubletree
Book Beach Club Villas
Book limos
Design sailaway shirts
Plan excursions and Palo

and prolly 288,604 other things I'm forgetting. :scared:

Oh well - think I'll have a beer and watch the Patriots win.:drinking1:thumbsup2

Beano - don't be a pooh head.

Hehehe, she said 'pooh'. Funny potty word. Pooh!

(Ok, not funny. Not funny at all.) pooh:

That is all.

Oh look, a donkey! --------> :eeyore:

Woohoo!!! Beanos in cruise mode! :cool1: But I didnt want to mention that other team! :scared1: Being from Boston, I'm way superstitious and I just expect our boys to let us down...no matter what sport it is. But hey, Bruins won today, so things are really going well here!

I'll be having a few drinks with ya, while watching the game. DH and I are going out to dinner and then to a bar to watch. We dont get nights out like this often. :cool1:

Ah, Katie, ye of little faith! The Pats shall crush the Jaguars!

I think.

Shhhhhhhhh! I am thinking that, but I dont want to say it.

Last time those 2 teams played I was at the game...and it was a close one!

GO JAGUARS!!

I am down a game 'cause I was really hoping the Packers would lose. Me no likey the Packers.

P.U. Brett FARVE Guy can't even pronounce his name right.

:yay: Hi Beano! Glad to see you are back with us and getting into cruise mode! But why do ya need 4 different hotel locations? Can't you all just stay at the same place? Logistically it would seem easier if You, RJ, SmartCookieBob and Kimmie were all at one, say the Radisson ('cause really cool people stay there:cool1: ) Then the limo won't have to drive to each place and pick each one of you up and go to the port. I mean, by all means, plan your own vacation, but seems more difficult.;)

I think I scored at the fabric store. I will perfect the design and I think I will have enough supplies for about 4 fish extenders. I plan to customize them with iron ons. So let's keep our fingers crossed that I get the actual item to look like what I am envisioning in my head and I will post a picture and make them for whomever may want one. For my design think black, red and white polka dots and yellow. Oh please, oh please, let it work.

Cheri - found another no sew option I am gonna try - eyelets!! Ok thought maybe it would work.:confused3

I agree that the Beano Master's hotel plans sound complicated!:confused3

I just might have to put an order in for one of your extenders...we'll see - since I didn't find what I was looking for at Target today...I have a couple other places in mind to look...if I get time tomorrow I'll try to hit one & see if I have better luck. Was thinking I could maybe keep an eye out for more "supplies" next weekend in WDW if I can figure out what to DO with them! :confused3 So, red, black & white polka dots...I'm picturing Minnie!

I worked on ironing / packing ALL AFTERNOON. I can get all 3 of us into my LARGE duffle if I shove everything - really more like SHOVE / SQUEEZE everything (one stack for each of us). So, there goes all 3 hours of my ironing right with the squeezing thing?!:headache: I haven't done the carry-on bag yet. I will pull some things out of the big bag to pack for Sat. just in case we don't get the big bag on Fri. nite when we'd like to get it! Since we arrive around 8:30ish I don't know if they'll deliver the bag that nite or not?! Want to have whatever we might need WITH us for Sat. am! But I need a better weather forecast before I can decide what to pull out - I am hoping to be able to remove the FLEECE!!!:goodvibes I unloaded DH's stack from the bag as it made everything really tight and it would be a total mess by Friday. OH. And there is absolutely NO ROOM to bring anything home. So no purchases allowed of ANYTHING if I do it this way. I am also curious to see if I could get us into 3 carry-ons and not have a checked bag. But I really only have 2 "good" carry-ons. Most of my bags are too big to carry-on & the other one I have that is an allowed size is a bit TOO SMALL to be worth the effort.

Go Pats!!!! :cheer2: It wasnt an easy night, but it was quite an adventure. We had more laughs between 1 restaurant and 2 more bars, but we pulled off a victory (ok this is really hard to type right now.) It seemed like we were surrounded by characters all night. :lmao:

:rotfl2: Late nite 'eh? Glad you had fun and a victory to boot!
(Sounds like you're about to get another Noreaster today?! :scared: Got your milk, bread & TP?!

Tough morning! Happy, but tough!

Yeah we could have over a foot of snow beginning tonight. Just when we are starting to see bare ground again. It really takes a toll on ya mentally. Seeing grass again gives you such hope, but all it takes is 1 day and bam your back to winter again.:headache: Can you tell Im a summer person? Today is food shopping day so we will be sure to get everything. Im sure the store will be mobbed though.

Hey - dumb question here! Can any of you tell me if there are lockers for rent at the entrance to the parks and how much they might be? Right now, the forecast is looking like we may want to start & end our days with a jacket but maybe won't want it all day - so I was thinking I might not want to carry it around all day & a locker would be handy...just wondering?!:confused3
