Hey ya'll :wave2: Nice pic RJ!

Well, I took TRM's advice & added an extra 500 mg vit. C last nite & another 500 this morning on top of my reg. 500 mg. I'm popping Motrins every 5 hours and I'm on my 4th Cold-eeze lozenge and have done the Zicam stuff at least twice so far today. :headache: I haven't hit the Advil Cold yet but that will be my next plan if I need to. I'm more worried about DS coming down with it while we're gone tho!

Foggy delay days in CA must be like snow delay days here?!:rotfl:

Hey CamColt - how ya doin' up there in the Artic? Hope you ended up not getting hit as bad as what they'd said! It is not looking like a balmy, tropical forecast for our trip to FL - currently calling for mostly 60-65 during the daytime but they're calling for a high of only 20 here on Sun. (not QUITE as bad as your 14 degree prediction)! So I guess we shall have to be glad for the 60's 'eh? I may shuffle some of my packing on Wed. nite (i.e. remove the shorts & Tshirts and add more long sleeves & jeans etc.) Last winter on this weekend it was also like 20 degrees - we were skiing & I had a run-in with the Captain in a hot tub and made snow angels in my bathing suit!! LOL....

Put a rub on a pork roast last nite & put it in the crockpot today with a can of beer & more rub.... Now tonite alls I gotta do is shred it up & add BBQ sauce for pulled pork sandwiches!

Well we had a snow day today, but Cam and I are sick. Loads of fun. I'm tryng to do a little work when I can hold my head up for a bit, but its not going too well.

Feel better Katie and Cam!

Annie I will keep my fingers crossed the bug stays away!

OK - big shocker - I was looking at transportation issues again.:rotfl: This is what people are renting cars for on Priceline:

MCO 8/14-8/17 compact $19 Alamo 0 7/31/07 5:08 pm MJRBIM
MCO 7/20-7/29 compact $14 Alamo 0 7/20/07 11:17 pm anyhandleleft
MCO 7/29 - 8/10/07 National Mid Size, $17 0 7/20/07 11:53 am mhb1757
MCO 7/18-7/23 standard $20 National

:teacher: These are rates from last summer around our cruise dates. But if I can get a car for about $20/day and park it at the Radisson - That is WAAAYYYY cheaper than a limo. I have seen people get one way rentals for less but have to check the Priceline website for that info. And I can go shopping! hhhmmmm.....drawback....you kinda have to wait until about 10 - 14 days before your trip to try bidding....might be scary. But could add extra excitement to trip.:) Although not the good kind of excitement!:scared:

Katie or SueEllen - are any of the car rental locations at Radisson anymore? Because that would be pretty darn sweet. One way would be a no brainer. I may just call the Radisson and see what our options are for getting a car returned. I wonder if the Radisson shuttle will come get DH at rental location?

Might have to try that. If my bid gets accepted I can cancel the limo.:woohoo: Johnna just might have a new plan!

:lmao: Thank you for listening to me talk to myself!:lmao:

Johnna - I read a lot of threads that indicate there are several car rental places near the port which offer shuttles I think. Budget, Dollar, Enterprise and National I think. Alamo is not at the port. I don't know about Hertz & Avis yet. Also, you cannot get all 4 of you PLUS your luggage into a compact car! You will need at least a "standard" or "full size" in order to have a trunk big enough to get the bags in!

Here are the one way rental prices I found direct from the rental sites at MCO (I was looking at renting Thurs. at MCO when we arrive - Sun. dropoff at the port).

Budget
Std. size SUV (Explorer) $242.22
Intermediate SUV (Escape) $185.97

There is a Costco "Corp. Discount" for 20% off and codes on the Costco website - but they only run thru 6/30 for now - I would guess they'll renew them later on...

Dollar
Full size (Charger) $40 / day base price = $120 + misc. fees = $148.46
Std. size SUV (Cherokee) $45 / day base
Premium size car (Chrysler 300) = $57 / day

Also priced a 1 day / 1 way rental if we took the ME bus to WDW and then rented on Sat. at DTD:
Full Size (Charger) $41.48 with all the taxes & fees!

Enterprise
You have to call for a one-way rental price - but just checking 3 days a "full size" like an Impala or Ultima was $101.31 + taxes & fees.

National was higher.

Here's the phone # for the car rentals at Costco (I think we can find 20% off there!) 1-877-849-2730 I just haven't had time to call....

Anyway you slice it, renting is a bargain compared to the limo... But the limo WOULD be nice... Maybe one day, when I'm rich & famous!:goodvibes

(Actually - Katie - since u guys will also be at AKL we could possibly go halves on one if you're interested in pricing it that way?!) But then we're back to the beer dilema!:rotfl2:

Annie, you could probably fit your family and Katie's IN the limo but, unless you pack VERY LIGHTLY you aren't taking the luggage with you. We take one suitcase each plus Chris's laptop bag and my carry-on (+we'll have a duffle bag full of ... adult beverages) and that will fill the trunk. Nice thought anyway.

There is a shot of us on one of our vacation videos pulling into the Poly:
RJ says," there's an ice chest in the front seat. Yeah, that's them."

Sean: to answer your earlier question, we are planning to spend a few days at WDW before the cruise at the Beach Club

OK my limo guy is $250 + gratuity. No extra fees.

I checked rental cars dot com and found the cheapest rates on Enterprise.

DH is giving me grief so cannot be on too much poking around until the girls go to bed. Men! Just trying to save him some money.

OK - off to get dinner on the table.

:sad2: DH's! Mine came in a little while ago & asked me "Am I off on Fri. and Mon.?" I was like NO-O. You're off on Mon. & Tues.:sad2:

So what was for dinner?

Settled on a tentative summer camp schedule this evening. DS is worried about missing his old camp if he misses too many weeks there. I was trying to talk him into this one outdoor / nature type camp that is just 2 weeks - and the last nite is an overnite. No. He didn't want to do that. So after our vac. they have 2 one week sessions (there's no bus running to it on the 2nd one tho). So he agreed to try the first one week session (no overnite involved). I thought OK, fine. Maybe he'll like it enough that he'll agree to do the 2 weeks next year.:confused3 He wanted to also do an Aqua Sports camp for one week - and he wanted to go to the indoor swim center not the outdoor pool (which affected the availability). So we're basically gonna plan 4 weeks mid-summer between the swim camp, vacation & the nature camp. That puts him at his old camp place the 1st 3 weeks after school lets out and the last 3 weeks of the summer. It's a start in getting him out of the old place... Now let's just hope the nature camp doesn't sell out before I get him registered as I have to wait a week after they open the registration!

Well we had a snow day today, but Cam and I are sick. Loads of fun. I'm tryng to do a little work when I can hold my head up for a bit, but its not going too well.

hope you're both feelin' better by now! i'm still suckin' on my Cold-eeze lozenges...they totally ruin the taste of all food but i DO think they help!

:rotfl2: That is so true! Not so tasty but do seem to help.:confused3

Dinner: ham and cheese bread pocket type thing, salad and steamed broccoli.:thumbsup2

Summer camp sounds complicated in MD. I was looking at Girl Scout camps today. My advice: Do not miss registration day!

Go to your signature file. Paste the file name into your signature. Add

Should do the trick!:thumbsup2

Hey gang, I'm back. Still not feeling great, but just trying to catch up on work now. At least I can sit up without getting nauseous. Colt has a pool party today(in a hotel) and then I have a meeting at school for Cams 5th grade celebration. I just want to stay in and rest. UGH!

Annie you must be getting excited!!!

Ronnie Jo, that view is sooooo much better than whats out my window right now. Lets just say everything is white...and its not sand!

Great doctor, Betsy! Hope all checks out ok.

Johnna, take the day off!
