new cards are on the way and should be here in a few days. In the meantime we have to do some paperwork. The funds are going to be put back into our acct thank goodness. I hope that the thieves bought good stuff. I have a reputation to uphold!:rotfl2:
Yeah, I got some sweet kicks. I'm wearing them now, as a matter of fact.
Oh.. Uh.. Never Mind. I didn't say anything.

Seriously, sorry to hear that happened. I'm paranoid about checking my account online every day. It helps cut off any suspect purchases - plus I can see where DW is spending my money.:sad2::rotfl2:

:scared1: wow. i was always the one getting lost not my dd when she was little.:lmao: even now, i turn my back for a second and there off.(which isnt a bad thing all the time):lmao: we always had brianas hand when she was little or she had to be in the stroller. we also gave her a note with our cell number and hotel we were staying at in case she gets lost. i can see how a little one can get seperated in those crowds.
I've heard of several places that will make custom "If I'm lost" type of things for kids like dog tag necklaces and those rubber LiveStrong-type bracelets with the parent's name and cell phone number on. I don't remember losing any of my kids at Disney for more than a few seconds, but we did find a little girl wandering around Pop Century by the bus stop a few years back. DW took her up the front desk. Turns out she wandered away while her mom was in the store. Those sure can be scary times.

Not sure if I mentioned it or not, but we are officially booked on the Oct 30 Disney Dream Cruise. :woohoo: First cruise, so I'm sure I'll be having lots of questions as well.

Oh man...I am so jealous!! I want to go this year too LOL:rotfl2:

Still trying to convince the wife that is is a good idea to book now for Oct 13th 3day DCL and 4 days at CBR. If I work 5 hours of OT a week its paid for.

Okay Dads... sorry to invade your man space, but I need advice! I am trying to plan a meal at Disney to surprise my husband for father's day! Any suggestions? TIA

Le Cellier, Biergarten, and O'Hana all work for me.

Thanks for the quick answer, I will let She-Who-Must-Be-Obeyed know our options.

I'm in the same boat as you, but your comment made me :lmao:

Well hello and a belated Happy New Year to all the Dads!

We are back from our 2 weeks in California. Let me just say it was nice but bittersweet and hard at the same time. My FIL had been doing quite well, but since my visit out there just last month, has sadly taken a turn for the worse. My DW did NOT want to leave at all, but all in all, it's good to be home once again sleeping in our own beds, instead of a different one every 2-3 nights.

I was back at the office today and wow was it a zoo. Over 1500 emails to sort through. Lots of vm's - and paper mail to boot. Plus, oh several deadlines to meet yet this week. Welcome back to reality! Ugh.

And California?... let's see... 5 cities, 29 relatives, Disneyland - packed Disneyland... record attendance Disneyland... ticket sales were stopped at 10 am Disneyland... sardines Disneyland. Wow. But VGC was magical beyond all measure. Oh my goodness. If any of you are able to get out there (who aren't already planning on doing so) - Please, PLEASE, PLEASE do. It has the charm and grace of the Wilderness Lodge, and so much more. Oh my goodness. It is fabulous. This was my 4th stay, but the 1st with the family, and my first in anything larger than a Studio. The 2 Bedroom (Dedicated) was magnificent. I just love the murphy bed in the living room, and that 3rd bathroom (like at Kidani), just made it so much easier for 9 people to get along. My SIL and nephews were absolutely enchanted. AND THE VIEW of World of Color at California Adventure was fabulous. Sure the Golden Zephyr ride was in the way for part - but it was quite nice viewing from either the balcony or the living room window after having seen it in person down in the park. I can't wait to stay again next November, if not sooner.

Well - lots to catch up on, and some updates to write for my existing TR and the one I'm trying to start as well from my bi-coastal trip in November/December (let alone the one that just finished...). I'll be back by soon. TTFN.

Welcome back.

Yep....take it from me...It is true...Looks like they pirated our numbers and created new cards. They tested them today at a Rite Aid in Pasadena California and then they somehow ended up in Texas. Mine was used at a Game Stop and Dillards in Dallas and Plano and Shari was used at Dillards in Dallas. Cards were actually swiped...it was not an electronic transaction. So far the totals are already in the thousands...they said by morning it will be worse but both of our cards are now frozen. Just when you think things might settle down! Mark...I blame you for going to work out tonight and causing the apocolypse!:rotfl2:

Absolutely hate that happened. It happened to us about 6 months ago. We had a bunch of charges in Houston Tx., and our card company called us to inquire if it was us. It was also a "real" card. The advance of technology just makes some forms of crime too easy. Glad that everything is on the road to recovery.

They are using curse words in our local weather forecast. They are using that 4 letter word SNOW again. Maybe tonight, and Friday, and the weekend too. Not a bunch, just enough to screw schools up, which would stink.......................... I was hoping that the snows during last year was a fluke, but it looks like we're gonna be in for some more this year too.

Hope ya'll have had a great day and enjoy the rest of the week.

I've heard that BAD word used for Fri & Sat here, they say only 1-3inches right now (of course the last storm we were looking for 6-10 inches not 34:scared1:). We have enough still till last awhile yet:scared1: Our 1st garbage pickup since 12/22 is tomorrow:cool1: (we only get 1 a week)

The 1st snow I saw this year was on 12/04 when we were on the AutoTrain going through NC:eek:

Welcome back.

Well thank you.

And Steve - I'm so sorry for your banking situation. That just stinks.

Barry - congrats on being formally booked on the Dream. Awesome stuff.

Everyone else - I'm sure there's something to comment on, but I'm sorry, I haven't read everything fully, only skimmed through and those two things stood out in my mind as I type this - so here it is - my first CRUD of 2011 - but it's good to be back in the swing of things.

Vacations are such a wonderful thing...til you get back to work and see the mess that you either have to clean up, or delegate to someone else to clean up, so effectively you are cleaning it up one way or another.

I hope you all had a decent holiday season, which ever holiday you choose to celebrate (if any), and a great New Year.

Now for the shameless plug du jour, I posted another update to my Daddy Daughter TR tonight, so if you feel like wading through it to update yourself (or to even start it from the beginning if you haven't stopped by yet), please do. I might not be as witty as our beloved Oblivious Captain, or our frozen monkey from the great white north, or even the nice one from New England.... but I have pictures. Of Disney stuff. You know - that place we all love to go to from time to time (or wish we could be in like RIGHT NOW). Come on by and visit. I'll be starting another one very soon, followed by yet another (I know, I travel a lot) - and really would like to try and get them all done before Don returns to the World in May and completes his next entry (ooops, did I really say that? :rotfl: Of course I did :) ) But enough of the mindless commercial drivel.

My middle son, Matthew, turns 12 on Friday. Let me just say I can't wait for a house full of 11 & 12 year olds, hopped up on pizza, rootbeer, lemonade and cake spending the night on my living room floor. My wife has even promised to drive them all to Steak & Shake at 2 am for their Half Price Shakes (every day from 2-4...both pm and am) to wire them up even more. Woo hoo! Now to try and come up with some kind of a cake design. He hasn't mentioned any particular theme choice this year, so I guess I'm on my own this time around. Should be fun.

My DW is very good at recognizing people in trouble. Once, she noticed an elderly woman walking along Morgan Hill Road and she said she had Alzheimer's. Of course, I continued on my way to Home Depot. We came back a little while later and, sure enough, there she was lying in the middle of the road. She was trying to hike up the hill and must have fallen just before we got there. Fortunately, she was OK but she had walked away from her home on Easton's South Side. I now listen to my DW when she thinks someone needs help! After so many searches for Alzheimer's walk-aways, she can really recognize them.

We are due again this saturday and sunday. Supposed to be a balmy 50f here today.

LOL another one? You have been a busy traveler... you can probably have 4 or 5 going at once. :happytv:

Lol yeah! Thank goodness I don't have to do anything like this for my work travels. But seriously, yep, another one...and I've started picking pictures for the most recent trip as well. Crazy, I know. Just living up to the Man Law. ;)

I've started yet another TR...link below in my signature.

Wow, that just blew my mind.

Just wait til I get the 3rd one going too!! I'll have my own trilogy. Wow, I'll be my own Peter Jackson doing three episodes at once...just like (well , sort of like) The Lord of the Rings... without the Nazgul (sp?) Or that freakish eye always seeing you.... :)

As of right now, the way the vacations are coming in at work (been there 23+ years, but still not on the top of the food chain:lmao:) It is looking like a 90% chance the week in August we will get to go to WDW is 21-27:confused3, since they won't let 2 top guys go the same week:mad:

Ron, I know the feeling!! I have been there at our place 24 years in June...I am number 3 on the list and the told me that I have to pick next week so I am trying to plot and scheme :rotfl2: and think of what the two ahead of me are going to do :rotfl2:. There are 7 behind me and we are each picking 2 weeks in prime time which is May-September and only 1 off at a time I am hoping to get the Week in June and August that we were planning on. I guess we will see next week.
