I was going to upload a picture of baby girl on the train, but Barry's instructions failed me. Alas, You'll just have to trust me that she's cute.

Ron, I know the feeling!! I have been there at our place 24 years in June...I am number 3 on the list and the told me that I have to pick next week so I am trying to plot and scheme :rotfl2: and think of what the two ahead of me are going to do :rotfl2:. There are 7 behind me and we are each picking 2 weeks in prime time which is May-September and only 1 off at a time I am hoping to get the Week in June and August that we were planning on. I guess we will see next week.

The one thing I really hate about this stuff is you find out they have nothing planned and they don't go anywhere, IMO if someone else is going somewhere they sould be able to Trump to guy with more time if they are doing nothing:confused3

Oh man...I totally agree! Or something else that burns me is when the person or people ahead of you drag their feet choosing when they want knowing good and well that the ones down the list can't choose until they are done. I make reservations in January for June and August usually so we can stay someplace nice.

I hear yah:cool1: it seems like they are always the last, I sometimes think they look at what everyone else has down and choose a week of conflict. I'm booking as soon as I can get some kind of green light from the boss, if they OK something I'm good to go:banana: (even if a conflict arrises) I get 4wks vacation a year , and it always seems like I have to change a couple of them every year:confused3

According to the news we should be getting snow Fri (1-3inches), but Tues/Weds there is a chance of getting hit by a storm worse than the last big one a couple weeks ago:scared1:, of course it all depends on the route of the storm, but since last year my area has seen the worst of most of them:eek:

This snow is never going to melt

Since Clearscreen didn't run the Yahoo Dis Dad's Pick 'em league and give everyone an eloquent weekly rundown, I just wanted to say congratulations to Cradle of Quarterbacks on winning the regular season. Even though I'm in 2nd, I doubt I can catch you through the playoffs, but I'll give it a shot. Fantasy League was fun, but with Wade Phillips autopicking my team, I did the best I could with what I had. Better luck next year. There should be some really good games this weekend.

Had a good fantasy football season myself. Three leagues, three third place finishes.

If you have any future openings in the DisDads league, keep me in mind.

Trying again to post a pic of baby girl on the Disney RR.

Alright, i can't make flickr work for this. What's another web based photo thing? Photobucket or something like that?

Wow... I'm glad you made this post. I almost forgot about making postseason picks! That definitely could have left the door wide open for you to catch me. I am usually awful at picking against the spread which is why I don't gamble.

As of right now, the way the vacations are coming in at work (been there 23+ years, but still not on the top of the food chain:lmao:) It is looking like a 90% chance the week in August we will get to go to WDW is 21-27:confused3, since they won't let 2 top guys go the same week:mad:

we are the same way. i realy dont have much to do with the people in the building. i basicly work from home and im on the road but they have to have rules (mainly because of hunting season) if you want to see grown men cry and carry on, tell them they cant have off the first day of hunting season.:lmao: out of 6 of them, our truck drivers get more deer with the frieghtliners than the hunters do with there rifles.:lmao: but anyway, its first come first serve for us. we have a form to fill out and the first one to ask for the week gets its. only one at a time can be out.days only are no big deal. of course, mine arein for the next two years.(we are only allow to ask two years in advance.) you would think i work for the government, geeez.:lmao:

hey ron, the said 1-3 inches around here and we got about 5 and it still coming down.:lmao: heads up, its heading your way.:thumbsup2

check this out!!! this is a good reason i do it the old fashioned way, i pay cash!!!:lmao:

Scary stuff... I don't know why they ever started using the RFID chips to begin with. Swiping through a magnetic reader really doesn't take a fraction of a second longer than waving it in front of a sensor. You'd have thought they could see the writing on the wall when they started doing that stuff. It was only a matter of time before street technology caught up and the devices became small enough to do this.

As much as I complain about my job I can not complain about our vacation policy. Our policy is basically its your time...use it. I am responsible for my clients, as long as they are covered, i can take off as much and as long as I want (within reason). The downside is I am accessible by cell phone anytime and I have access to e-mail 24-7. Nothing better then being in NC on vacation dealing with a sewer blockage in PA.

I'm usually awful picking against the spread as well...

...and that's been proven true again this season. :sad2:

I must admit that I have been really bad about posting the updates about the Dis Dad's Football Pick 'Em. I going to blame my poor performance in the league. 12th out of 21 so far, so Mark's got me beat by a mile! But what are you gonna do? :confused3

Here's the standings at the end of regular season:

1. Cradle of Quarterbacks (135 pts)
2. Air Goofy (129 pts)
3. gerows (125 pts)
4. Explodo's Bad temper (123 pts)
5. GoHerd1028 (123 pts)
6. The Mouse of Pain (122 pts)
7. Cinderella's Fella (120 pts)
8. eagleslightyear (120 pts)
9. middlepat's Spark of Figment (119 pts)
10. Oblivious Selections (118 pts)

I'm a little slow in finding things on the board, but I think I've found a place to stake my claim.

Hello everyone....grumpyfannypack here. I'm 39, father of two, husband of one, from the far away state of Illinois, and upon my family's return from WDW in Sept. '10, have just realized that I am addicted to Walt Disney World. Not so much Disney in general, just WDW. So maybe this is the place for me if y'all'll have me.

Welcome to the club! We can always use another grumpy here! You are member # 550! :thumbsup2

:welcome: WELCOME TO THE DIS DAD'S CLUB! :welcome:

You have been added to the DIS Dad's Club list :thumbsup2
