Okay, so I went shopping on Black Friday with a twist. DW and I decided around 3 this afternoon to go out and see what we could find. There was no one out; everyone must have been passed out on the couch from the early morning shopping. We walked right in, got what we wanted, and left. I asked multiple workers what the difference in price was compared to 4:00 AM this morning. In each place that we went, we were told absolutely nothing. So, we saved just as much as everyone that was up at 3 AM, and I'm stoked about that. :cool1::thumbsup2

Steve & Randall Have a GREAT trip, I hope you guys get to meet up, and meet with some of the other Dads arriving this week:goodvibes

After I got the Mach 1 going a couple of my neighbors came over, seems like the smell of burnt heavy fuel lures the guys to the car, I run heavy fuel, 94 octane + Real Lead + 104+ Octane Booster, it is a smell that you don't smell everyday and will not get out of a modern car:goodvibes, after running it for about 15 minutes, I get in and rev it to red line, now running heavy fuel, with alittle over 500hp the back pressure is incredible, with the exaust cherry red from burning hot from all the octane, yeeeeeeeeeeeees blew a golf ball size hole in one of the mufflers, thinking to myself Yo import boy do that (with all the Aluminum in the imports they would most likely blow the engine 1st:lmao:) My friends that showed up were like:worship::worship:

OK have to replace a muffler ( no big deal have a lift in the garage), but this is bragging rights on the kids in the area:goodvibes

RPM pegged = Coolness pegged :worship:

Also now have hit single digits till WDW:cool1:

Very happy for all of the guys headed down in the next week or so. Looks like Steve is probably at the airport now on his way. How I wish that I could join in on the fun, but I have to go spend a couple of weeks in the California desert instead.

If anybody decides to video stream from the World while there, please let us know when and where to go a bit ahead of time. I wanna live vicariously through the Dis Dad's meet! :happytv:

And we watched it this morning. I'm getting the kids brushed up on all the main movies. We've been at it for months and are now repeating the most important ones since we're only A WEEK AWAY!!!

BTW, I'm a Cubs fan too, just don't have the cool avatar.

Can't have enough Cubs fans - we are great examples of patience and loyalty...:thumbsup2

Glad to hear of all the upcoming WDW trips. Have fun - wish I was able to go as well!

My promised food porn:

Our Thanksgiving turkey turned out to be our best yet! 14 hours in an apple cider-based brine, 3 hours of hickory/applewood smoke, 8 hours total cook time. I love my lazy-man's (electric) smoker! Here is the pic of the bird:

Well we made it to Orlando!!! We landed at about noon and I swear to you that I dont think I have ever seen so many blue hairs on the same flight! Must be all them snow birds heading south for the winter!!:rotfl2:

Once we got our luggage the first struggle of the trip came when Lauren refused to get into the rental car! She said "It is not our car...ours is blue!" after MUCH bargaining we finally convinced her to just get in so we could be on our way...as we drove off she informed us that "Somebody's Mom was going to be mad when they find out we took their car!":rotfl2: She is a character for sure!

We got checked into the condo and I was disappointed to be in a first floor unit but after unlaoding the car with luggage and croceries for the week I was glad that was what we got!:thumbsup2

We went to dinner at PF Chang's in Millenium Mall and then walked around and looked at the decorations before heading back to get an early start in the Magic Kingdom tomorrow!!! Hopefully Randall (Cinderellasfella) and I will get to meet up for a quick photo op (pictures or it didnt happen!):thumbsup2

P.F. Chang's is my favorite chain restaurant. Love me some Mongolian Beef and Crispy Honey Shrimp.

Have an awesome time!

Dang. Hope that everyone gets to feeling better and that the MRI gives you the results that you want to hear. Maybe you can switch off drivers near the end of each person's medication cycle, that way everyone will have a couple or 3 hours of driving time before having to re-take.

Saw Tangled with the family yesterday. There was an opening about it being the 50th Disney animated film. I thought there were more films than that, but I guess not. Anyway, the dds (8,6) loved it. There was not as much adult humor like in Shrek, but it was still fun. And, as a dad of daughters, I like the example of the girl being the hero (in part) as opposed to waiting to be rescued.

I took my family to see Tangled yesterday also. I was expecting it to be decent, but it actually turned out a lot better than I thought it would be. It is a really good movie - so I was pleasantly surprised.

I totally agree - movie was a lot of fun and I'm always pushing the princesses that are more self reliant, especially Belle, who wants to experience the world.

Stopher is taunting me with text messages from Disneyland, he has been on Space Mountain and Splash Mountain. I will get him back next Saturday when I arrive at the Dis Dads Meet one day before him!:lmao:

It has been a great day here at the Magic Kingdome today...great weather and the crowds were super low until about 4 when the Christmas Party folks started coming in. The most we waited for anything today was 15-20 and we did not use any fast pases!

We got to the park around 830 this morning and headed immediately for Space Mountain...Lauren was just shy of being tall enough to ride it so Ethan and I rode it then Shari and Ethan did it again..both times it was walk on...cant ask for better than that. Then we had to his the Tomorrowland Speedway (i swear I dont know why this is such a popular attraction). I let Lauren drive our car and she received her Tomorrowland Drivers license from one of the Cast Members...she thought she was something because Ethandid not get one ha ha. We worked out way through the rest ot tomorrow land and Toon town and Fantasy Land and then ate lunch at Pecos Bills. That seems to be a tradition for us. After lunch we went to Splash Mountain and Lauren was tall enough to take on the challenge for the first time ever:thumbsup2 She was so excited but had no idea what she was in for...once we went down the big plunge there were tears for about 10 seconds and then she said that was fun and that she wanted to do it again. That's my Girl!!!:cool1: The only regret I have for the day was that I did NOT buy the pictgure that take as you take the plunge...the look on her face was PRICELESS!!:rotfl2: We then went to Big Thunder Mountain and she was tall enough for that too!!! WooHoo! It is a day of firsts!!!

We just took out time all afternoon and did Haunted Mansion and Hall of Presidents...well Ethan (The only democrat in the family! :confused3) thinks that Brock Obamo (as he calls him) was actually in attendance today along with all the other Presidents...He said Lincoln really looked old to him. I just sat there and let him give his analysis of it without letting on that they were not real :rotfl2:

I received a text from Randall (Cinderella'sFella) and he was on the train and we were in adventureland. We had planned to meet up and have a dole whip together...however, for whatever reason I never got another text from him until we got back to the room eventhough he had sent it hours before...so needless to say we did not get to meet up thanks no thanks to tech issues with my Sprint phone service!!! I hope that does not play a problem later in the week ...maybe Randall and I can meet up before we leave anyway...For whatever reason I am not able to upload the mobile photos from my phone to facebook either tonight...oh well....

We had planned on leaving the park and going to Epot since it was open until 930 tonight and MK was closing at 7 for one of the MVMCP events. However, while weading back to Main Street Lauren had a major meltdown from exhaustion and just wanted to go to bed...and she made sure everyone within ear shot heard her....making us look like "That Family"..Bless her heart...:cool1:..she did good all day long and was a trooper ...for 3 I can't complain about it....

Well, tomorrow will be a day of rest so we will see if the pools are warm enough and if not then we will hit the outlet malls I am sure. Tomorrow night is an early birthday dinner for me at Ohana's...Looking forward to that... I have not ever eaten there before!:thumbsup2
