That is just wrong... maybe we should all text Christopher when we arrive in WDW.... :rolleyes1

I think that sounds like a great idea!:lmao:

Christian- I'm assuming you received my PM? Ddi you have a chance to check out the calendar?

Great idea I made a few additions and it is helping with my plans. I have absolutely no ADRs.:scared1:

Yeah, yeah, yeah... and right now I'm sitting inside DCA in the front row waiting for the 10:15 WORLD OF COLOR show to start. Pics soon.

Ouch that one hurts! I can't compete with World of Color!

Go ahead Tim! I'll look forward to them! BTW, he started it last month by calling me to tell me that they were walking in to the CP without any ADR for dinner...

Guilty as Charged!:rotfl2:

And believe me, I don't mind playing hardball from time to time when I need to :rotfl: :lmao:

I'm working on uploading some pics to photobucket now, and will share some very soon. I got a few video clips too (very short, my camera only takes 10 secs at a time) - that might help get the idea across a little bit.

Just as a background for the rest of the guys who may or may not know what it is... World of Color is an all-new (June 2010) water, laser, pyrotechnic show at California Adventure. It is about a 23 minute show that uses over 1200 fountains, and is truly a technical marvel. I had seen the entire show after it opened on youtube, but wow - there's just NOTHING like seeing it in person. Plus as I said earlier, I was in the very FRONT row, literally separated from the water only by a chest high fence.

The show's name is inspired from the old Walt Disney's World of Color tv program on Sunday nights (one of several iterations of that show that was originally named "Disneyland" and started to air in 1954 on ABC to help Walt introduce the concept of his theme park to the nation - but later renamed several times. World of Color was the name when tv was transforming from B&W to Color) and actually starts using the original narration from that show. It incorporates practically 80% of Disney's animated film arsenal, plus some snips/clips from the Pirates films, etc. There was a cool Tron "tag" at the end as well, advertising the new film. If you like Fantasmic, this is 95x cooler. Because the entire show is run via computer, with no human actors, etc - it can be reprogrammed and updated relatively quickly. It has been so very popular this year since it opened, they're now talking about change outs for Christmas, Halloween etc to add additional interest. That will be pretty cool too, IMO.

Can't wait to see the pictures!

Well… “Looks like the cows have come home to roost.” We’re smack in the middle of the holiday season now. We spent some time with the in-laws across the long weekend and got to “see a lot of familiar face-lifts”. But, now Thanksgiving has come and gone so, it’s back to the grind. “It's a topsy-turvy world, and maybe the problems of two people don't amount to a hill of beans. But this is our hill. And these are our beans!” Like many of y’all, we’re trying to get ready for the trek down to the world. “It's fourth and fifteen and you're looking at a full-court press.” We busted out the decoration early and got that task out of the way. We’re also trying to finish up the Christmas shopping early for the same reason. You’re almost taking your life into your hands when you go out in that madding crowd, but “You take a chance getting up in the morning, crossing the street or sticking your face in a fan.” So I guess it really isn’t that tough. And yet… Every time I have to venture into a mall I just wonder if this is the day that “they're going to blow that place sky high. It'll be a tragedy. Unless it's during a dance number.”

So long Frank Drebin. We’ll truly miss ya’

Very nice.

Just think; next time I shoot someone, I could be arrested.

Here are a few pics, and I'll try to post the short video clips as well - but I've never personally done that, so if they don't work, I'll have to see what else I can do. I'm going to put some of these on FB as well. I did get the ending on video on my phone, which takes longer clips than my camera does...but I don't have the conversion card to fit the miniSD card to my computer with me, it's at home (looks like a stop at Best Buy is in order).

Just moments before the show began. I was again, right at the water's edge. Off to the right side a bit, but still have a great vantage point. I couldn't see the mist screens as well as I would have liked, but hey - I'll be back here in just 4 weeks so I can hopefully get a more centered view then.

In the background you see Mickey's Fun Wheel, which is used at various times in the show, and California Screamin' and Toy Story Midway Mania. All got in on the act during the Tron end-tag. That was pretty cool.

The fountains dance, and colors change - choregraphed to the music and clips playing too. I think my absolute favorite part was when they did the Genie's song "Friend Like Me". That was amazing. Not sure if I have any pics or not, but maybe. And the sequence where Woody meets Buzz, and then he proceeds to fly around the room was cool, but even better was when Buzz encountered Zurg and Zurg proceeded to shoot at Buzz. Lasers were flying everywhere, and the water cannons were shooting off.

Stopher, the pictures are GREAT! Man, I want to see this show. Actually, I just want to see DL, period. I hope you're having a blast.

This one seems appropriate today:

A parachute not opening... that's a way to die. Getting caught in the gears of a combine... having your n--- bit off by a Laplander, that's the way I wanna go!

Hi all,

Think I may have a new criteria, when at least 50% of your tee shirts are Disney!

Oh yah there is the MM winter hat, shorts, golf bag tag, mini MM pack pack clip on.

20 days and counting. Ummmnnnnn. I can just hear main street and smell the park.

We're sitting her watching Beauty and the Beast with the two youngest. Prepping for the trip is so hard.....

Added to page 1 :thumbsup2

One of the really neat things about being an elementary principal is that you get to see the stuff that kids put up on the hallway walls. One of our kindergarten classes had their annual "How do you cook a turkey" assignments up in the hall for the past few weeks. Some of them are absolutely hilarious, and each day you can see people reading them and getting a good laugh. Here are 4 samples. Remember the question: How do you cook a turkey?

I'm going to go out to our garden and kill a turkey. Then, I will bring him inside, put him in the oven at 350 for 25 minutes. Then, I'll put honey on him and eat him.

I will go hunting and kill a turkey. When we get back home, I'll put him in the oven and cook him at 50 degrees for 35 seconds. Then, I'll add salt and pepper and eat him.

My dad will go hunting and kill a turkey. The way we like to cook our turkey is to cook him at 5 degrees for 24 hours.

I'm going to go to the grocery store and get a turkey. When we get home, I think that we will cook the turkey at 1000 degrees (no, that is not a typo) for 5 seconds because I like my turkey a little burny on the outside and cold on the inside. :lmao:

Ya'll have a great Thanksgiving.

:rotfl2::rotfl2::lmao::lmao: Sounds like the last one could have used Ron's Mach 1 to accomplish the task!

Hope Everyone had a Great Thanksgiving:goodvibes

We didn't have to go to my In-laws house till 3, so the original plan was to do the leaves, but it started to sleet then rain:lmao: So I decieded to tinker with the Stangs, Got 2 out of 3 going:cool1: Mach1 was a dead battery, convertible was a dead battery and starter cellinoid was shot (luckily I keep spare parts on hand:woohoo:) After I got the Mach 1 going a couple of my neighbors came over, seems like the smell of burnt heavy fuel lures the guys to the car, I run heavy fuel, 94 octane + Real Lead + 104+ Octane Booster, it is a smell that you don't smell everyday and will not get out of a modern car:goodvibes, after running it for about 15 minutes, I get in and rev it to red line, now running heavy fuel, with alittle over 500hp the back pressure is incredible, with the exaust cherry red from burning hot from all the octane, yeeeeeeeeeeeees blew a golf ball size hole in one of the mufflers, thinking to myself Yo import boy do that (with all the Aluminum in the imports they would most likely blow the engine 1st:lmao:) My friends that showed up were like:worship::worship:

OK have to replace a muffler ( no big deal have a lift in the garage), but this is bragging rights on the kids in the area:goodvibes

Couple of notes on this post:
1. :thumbsup2 SWEET!
2. :cool2:
3. I was just talking to DW this weekend and made mention that none of the gas pumps in our area even mention "leaded" anymore. I'm sure the kids on the block are like "What's leaded mean"? lol!
4. Caught an episode of Pinks this weekend and simply marveled at some of those great muscle cars. Wish I had the time and money these guys put into some of those rides!

Awesome pics and videos!! Thanks for sharing these. not sure when we'll ever make it cross country to DL.

Your dog sure has a surprised look on his face.

That's because you're looking at his butt.

Uh, then he's certainly not going to enjoy that treat I just fed to him.

RIP Les

Very nice.

Just think; next time I shoot someone, I could be arrested.

Well… You know… “Blowing away a fleeing suspect with my 44 magnum used to mean everything to me, I enjoyed it, well who wouldn't?”

Very cool. Thanks for the pics & vids. One of these first days, I’m just going to have to dive into California just to see DL if for no other reason.

Well... We shot a lot of people together. It's been great. But today I retire, so if I do any shooting now, it'll have to be within the confines of my own home. Hopefully, an intruder and not an in-law, like at my bachelor party.

In a related story, Irving Kirschner, director of Empire Strikes Back, died too. That's not true! That's impossible! Nooooooooo!!!!

Your right Don Leaded gas has not been availible at the pump since 86-88 time period. (maybe alittle later depending on state:confused3) I add a can of a product called Real Lead, since lead is heavy thus the term Heavy Fuel, you can get it at a speed shop ( not recommended if you have Al. parts in engine, since engine will run really hot + its not the healthest stuff out there:scared1: Most engines from this time frame pre 73 were had a 2 bolt main and had parts made of cast iron, If you have a 4 bolt main (like myself)you most likely have Forged steel parts, these parts can handle extreme heat (compare it to tools, Snap On , Craftsman, Husky, all made of Forged steel, very strong)

Another term out there now is Thermal Engine Meltdown, This is a newer term for newer cars, since the newer cars have alot of Al parts they need to be well coated with oil, or they can melt:scared1

Alot of the newer cars do have alot of horsepower, but can lead to some real expensive problems if abused, things today are not a easy fix a do not last forever, IMO they should calll anything new - Throw aways, if they lasted along time and were easty to fix , Car companies would not make ANY money:lmao:

As far as kids knowing what leaded gas is, I'm sure most could not hand me a cresent wrench out of the tool box:lmao:

What was it we had for dinner tonight?

Well, we had a choice of steak or fish.

Yes, yes, I remember, I had lasagna.

Wow, I would love to go to Disneyland to see that show Stopher. Really cool pictures... It's like the Bellagio fountains and Illuminations gave birth to a whole new monster of a show.

Another term out there now is Thermal Engine Meltdown,

I had a bad case of Thermal Engine Meltdown in the grocery store the other day. As a matter of fact, it happened in the coffee section. I can tell you this; if you are going to have a case of Thermal Engine Meltdown in the grocery store, you want it to happen in the coffee section. Lots of aromas to cover it up:lmao:

Oh yeah... completely agree... these newer engines just aren't the same. But, the extra weight loss is a bonus :cool1: :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Crescent wrench... what's that honing tool used for? :confused3 :lmao:

Hey... are you doing Christmas Town at BGW this year? I got the tickets... just not sure when we are going.

OK got to hear what happened, since the grocery store is my bread and butter for the last 24 years, maybe I can offer some advice:confused3
