The different disney smells

The smell of the glazed nuts from those pushcarts! For years I would smell them and never quite knew what it was. Finally, we bought some. They tasted as good as they smelled (pecans are my favorites). We now MUST have them every trip.

I was in a mall one day and smelled that glorious scent and went looking for the source. Alas, the nuts were not as good...but that smell made me swoon. But now the cart is no longer there.

I love the smell of the musty water in the boat rides! Last time I smelled it was by a little waterfall in the Coldwater Creek store in our local mall. I kept wandering back there to get a whiff and my mom finally asked me what I was doing. I told her "Sniff, it smells like Disney! She replied with the "mom" agree (trying to be supportive but really thinking I had lost it).

everytime i go to the local mall, right at the fountain, i turn to whoever im with and say "smells like disney water"..most of the time it's my mom, and she agrees..but when im with someone whos never been to disney, they're like "what in the world..."

other than "disney water", i love the smell of the hotel gift shops..call me crazy :teeth:

Oooh, I'd forgotten about those. You're right, the smell is better than the taste. But no worries, I think the same thing about coffee and I consume that regularly!

I've got some "Fabuloso" and either it comes in different scents (mine's purple) or Disney doesn't use it-I like the smell, but it doesn't remind me of Disney.
The smell that does remind me of Disney is caesar salad dressing. That's because for years I loved going to CRT for lunch and always ordered the same thing-chicken caesar salad. I loved it! Sadly, they don't serve it there anymore (this was pre-characters at lunch).

They've got Fabuloso at the home depot here. I remember it because I thought the name was so funny. I am now planning to head over there and sniff every bottle they have.

Who knows, I may become good at cleaning...

oooh, have to add Softsoap milk and honey to that list, also. I wonder if that's the type of soap they have in the mickey bodywash? Which we hoard, BTW!

I posted earlier but I forgot my favourite smell! The gift shop in Norway- when you go through the part with the Laila perfume. I love that smell-so much I bought the perfume and the scented candles last year so I could bring it home with me. Although its not quite quite the same at home, is it?

Hate to burst your bubble but everyone on the Disboards thinks I'm crazy :lmao:

Seriously, I have about 10 little bottles of DIsney bodywash, shampoo, and the little bars of soap. I break them out every now and then when I need a Disney fix. Now if I could only get my shower water to smell like sulfur, I'd be set!!!!

Yes! A long time ago, my friend and I went into the crawlspace under her house, and I immediately thought: It smells like POTC down here! That musty smell stays with me forever. pirate:

Dont worry, I'm right up there with you...everyone I know thinks I'm insane. But I dont care cuz I love my little quirks, it makes me different then everybody else! My mom collects all those little hotel samples too. I never understood why, but maybe it's the same reason as you...she loves Disney alot too!

The buses have their own smell. And I'm not talking about the sweaty people on the bus. I've been in June and January and the buses smell the same with or without stinky people.
Maybe it's the plastic seats. It's kind of like Band-Aids... but not really. I've not smelled anything exactly like it.

So, does anyone else remember the candles WDW used to sell "Cotton Candy", "Candy Apple" etc. I think there was even a popcorn one. They didn't smell "like Disney" the way some other things do, though.

I took a shower with my Avon Brown Sugar and Shea Butter Scrub and I could swear I was in line at Sleepy Hollow getting caramel corn.

BTW, I've looked through this whole thread. Did Hulagirl ever post which face wash smells like the Poly? I am going to tear apart my local skin care aisle at Target today trying to find out. ;)

:thumbsup2 I love the smell as you enter AKL! The delicious meats cooking in Boma drift through the lobby.

Oh my goodness,I love that too!!! Sometimes, bbq's around home remind me of that scent, and I feel like I am back "home" at AKL!!

How could I forget the orange smell in Horizons! I LOVED that ride because of the smell. I was so glad when Soarin' opened and it had smellovision.

They should put more smells in the rides-besides the musty water smells, that is!

I just purchased a body wash at Bath and Body Works that is called "LeCouvent Des Minimes" and the scent is Orange Blossom. It smells just like the orange smell from Horizons and the orange groves on Soarin!! I immediatly thought of Disney!!!

If Hulagirl is out there, theres a bunch of us who want to know what face wash smells like the Poly!! If there is anyone else who knows which brand shes talking about....I would love to know. Im going to the Poly in a month and would love to have something that reminds me of my favorite resort! :)

The smell of Morocco (I think it is the blossoms on the trees?)

Yeah, that's a mock orange tree. Usually they are bushes, but Disney's managed to grow one into a tree. The smell on it was so incredible I hunted down a CM and asked them what it was.

I have a spot for one in my new yard (zone 7)
