I don't know if it's been requested yet, or not. I'd love the Easter egg recipes please. Ignore if you've already posted them. :teeth:

We are still waiting for the recipe as far as I can remember.

Wed. Oct. 4 Epcot day lunch?
MGM Fntasmic package Mama Melrose or H & V?
We've done both H&V and MM. For us, MM wins Mickey hands down. All 6 in our party loved it.

Looks good!

I'm not too confident...it really was an awful experience and a terrible mess! Somehow I soaked through my shirt...and I am not kidding..I have blue ****s! :rotfl2: Can you just imagine what Bill will say to that?!
Just be thankful you're not a guy who soaked his pants and ended up with blue ****s!! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Ok people...I have worked on some bad projects before....but nothing and I mean NOTHING could have prepared me for the absolute horror of trying to make one of those tye dye shirts!!!! :scared1: :scared1: It was like an episode of the I Love Lucy Show...dye flying through the air...shirts falling...kids crying...Bill swearing...I basically dyed everything around me except the dog!!!!!!!!I can't imagine this shirt turning out. :worship: :worship: :worship: to all of you who made them!!! I am in awe!

Kate...looks like you will have to make them for the group...

I need a drink! :teeth:

Now I know why my dye and shirts are still waiting to be done!!!

We did not care for H & V at all.

Baloo - hope Mr. Wilson pulls through with flying colors. Give Erich an extra hug, he could probably use it.

Good nite all; still feeling miserable and need the rest. See ya tomorrow.

Ok, I am starting to freak out here.

All of the websites (TGM, DISboards, Mouse Planet, etc.) have the nights for MNSSHP listed. Except the most important one doesn't (Disney). The nights that we are going to be there, Oct 18-22, there are no MNSSHPs. But on Disney's site, Oct 19 and 20, the park closes at 6.

Now, how do these websites get the dates if disney hasn't posted them?

How accurate are they?

Why would the park close at 6 if there is no MNSSHP?

I can't stand the suspense. The kids and I will be heartbroken if there isn't a party the days we are there. That is the whole reason for going in October. And I've already purchased airline tickets, so I can't change my dates.

We are impatiently waiting too, Tammi. We want to go on the 19th and we are banking on it happening. Sometimes the UK WDW site has more up to the minute info than ours does. Let me go and check it....

Could you please pray for our neighbor Mr Wilson? :sad2:

I noticed I hadn't seen him the yard the last couple days. After school on Mondays Erich always brings the Wilson's garbage can back up to their house from the road.He came running home saying Mr Wilson fell and hurt his head,he's in the hospital and paralyzed on one side. :guilty: So Joe and I went over to see what was wrong. Apparently late Fri. afternoon he fell outside, maybe off a ladder, his wife isn't sure.Joe had been with him about 2:30 pm Fri. afternoon helping him get a tire off his boat trailer.Mrs Wilson got him in the house ,he said he felt nauseous and went to go up stairs to the bathroom were he fell again and hit his head VERY hard on the corner of the wall.. Their daughter took him to the ER where the did a cat scan and immediately got him to surgery as he had a terrible brain bleed. He's unconscious and they believe his paralyzed on his left side.

I am stunned.

He's only 71,such a character. When Erich was 2-5 years old he followed Mr. Wilson all over the place,we use to call Erich, Dennis the Menace.Mr. Wilson is shaped like Dennis's Mr. Wilson ,always has a plaid shirt on but he has a full head of white hair and a smile on his face and always a joke or a wise crack when you see him.

We've been neighbors for 14 years. He has been the BEST neighbor. Please send your prayers and good thoughts that he recovers.

Thank you.

Prayers for Mr. Wilson and his family, and prayers of wisdom for his doctors. pixiedust: pixiedust:

Densie...where are you eating the night of MNSSHP? Last year I wanted to do LTT to see the charachters in their halloween costumes...but I couldn't get in.

Kate...I don't care who does the shirts...just let me know if it's me. :)

Oh, that's right, the characters are in costume at LTT. Maybe that's what we'll do. I have been debating between LTT and CP. Basically, I just have more meal plans that I do days and credits!

Amy, I just viewed all of your pictures. The slide show really speeded up between 225-300, then went back to normal. I loved the one of Alyssa and Minnie rubbing noses.

Today's my youngest granddaughter's birthday, too. She's 17! (It's also Wayne Newton's birthday.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALYSSA!!

Sorry for the delay in getting this posted. Have been running around trying to get things done for Molly's birthday party on Saturday.

Here is the recipe for the Mashed Potato Easter Eggs. ENJOY!

Filling

1/4 lb Butter
1/2 cup Mashed Potatoes
2 lbs Confectioners Sugar
1 Tsp Vanilla
1/2 cup coconut
1/4 cup peanut butter

Peel, then boil potatoes in salted water until soft.
Drain and mash potatoes
Measure 1/2 cup of mashed potatoes.
Blend butter with potatoes and let mixture stand until cold.
Add sugar and vanilla to potato butter mixture and blend until creamy.
To make peanut butter or coconut eggs, just add to mixture and mix well.
Shape into eggs and chill for 1 hour, then dip in chocolate coating. See below

Chocolate Coating

1/2 lb bitter chocolate (we use Baker’s chocolate)
1 Tbsp paraffin wax

Melt bitter chocolate in top of double boiler over hot water.
Stir paraffin into chocolate, mix till melted together.
Dip candy eggs into the chocolate.
Harden on wax paper.

I just tried the english Disney site as they're always out of synch but no dates there either. I can't think of any other reason for a 6pm close though... Here's some :wizard: for when the real dates come out :wizard:

LOL -- what she said! I also tried the UK site with not luck :guilty:

Absolutely! I hope that Mr. Wilson is doing better soon. Prayers too for Erich that he is handling everything okay.

If we end up going...I will try to get LTT. Last year for MNSSHP we went to CP..and didn't really care for it.

Hi everyone!!! Just checking in, nothing much going on here. I am in the middle of spring cleaning/getting ready for a garage sale. So far I have gone through my kitchen and reorganized my cabinets/pantry etc. I packed up 4 boxes and threw away countless junk!!! I am not a pack rat by any means, I can't stand clutter, so I tend to purge things I am not using pretty quickly, that said I can't believe how things just accumulate!!! I still have so much to do, but the kitchen has inspired me, it looks SO good!!!!

I am still working on trying to go on the DDA trip, I should know by the end of the week, keep your fingers crossed!!!!

:wizard: To Mr. Wilson, that is SO sad, I will keep him in my prayers!!!

I hope spring decides to come back soon, it is freezing here!!!

Happy 2nd Birthday Alyssa!!!!!

I hope you had a wonderful day!!!

Take Care Everybody!!!

So here is the ADR's I came up with if available.
Fly in Sept. 30 probably arrive late evening
Sun. Oct. 1 AK day Donald's Breakfast and counter service lunch
Epcot evening Le Cellier

Mon. Oct. 2 MK day counter service?
Evening not sure

Tues. Oct 3 MGM Sci-Fi lunch
MK evening Crystal Palace dinner

Wed. Oct. 4 Epcot day lunch?
MGM Fntasmic package Mama Melrose or H & V?

Thurs. Oct. 5 day at hotel
MNSSHP LTT for dinner

Fri. Oct. 6 Sleep in maybe a waterpark or DTD in the afternoon
the Polynesian Luau in the evening

Sat. Oct. 7 Seaworld

Sun. fly out probably morning
I have a few gaps I was wondering if anyone had another restaurant for Epcot to recommend and has anyone tried both Mama Melrose and H & V that can give an opinion? Any other ideas. This will be my first major trip (staying and eating on-site so much) :confused3

We're doing MNSSHP on the 5th too. What time is your LTT dinner? I am leaning towards that as well with a time around 4 or 4:30.

:bday: Happy Birthday Alyssa! :bday:

Amy,

Molly and I enjoyed your pictures. She loved seeing the characters and kept saying "Mickey Mouse Me" or "Jojo Me". She thought that she was looking at herself. Looks like you had a great time.
