Miss Stephanie,

Thank you so much for the wonderful princess postcard you sent Alyssa. She is mesmerized with making the hologram change. :goodvibes

Kevin and I enjoyed Meet the Robinsons...we saw it without the kids. ;)

Stephanie-

all of us loved Meet the Robinsons!!! At least you have that as an end result...my light at the the end of the cleaning tunnel???

getting the girls costumes ready for tonight...and if that wasn't fun enough...baking cookies for my work church. :goodvibes :lmao:

I just sent my ornament off this morning, of course I realized afterwards that I didn't include the card with it, so when you get it, sorry I left out the card. :headache:

DS just finished choosing the things he wants to go in the package. Now I have to find a box and get to the Post Office to ship it.:) Oh, and perhaps I should have him put a card in there, as well! Thanks, Debbie!

Stephanie - I took Brother & Sister to see "Meet the Robinsons" at the theater. DS saw it with one of his friends. DS thought it was confusing, but I think that's just him. He wants to see it again. Brother fell asleep in my lap halfway through. Sister liked it, but I don't think she really "got" the whole concept of the story. I enjoyed it. I REALLY want to get a CD with the Rob Thomas song on it.

I bought a fabulous throw at Ross the other day to take on the plane. $8! I just washed it with some lovely lavender scented Downy and now it is all folded up in my Magic Bag.:goodvibes 46 days 'til Disney!

And all that came afterward, ELIN!

;) :rotfl:

Elizabeth....I can burn that song on to a cd if you would like..shhh!! I could copy the whole CD if you would like.

Does this look too boyish? It's in both the girl's and boy's section on Disney Shopping. I like it but think it might be a little too boyish. I am thinking about it for my girlfriend's 15month old. She loves Pooh.

Looks a little "boyish" to me, but what if you found a little pink shirt to go under the top ... Lilly Pulitzer designs gorgeous things in green and pink and they are NOT boyish!

Well, the thing is, 11 DDA, along with assorted spouses, went off to WDW and left the rest of us here. I can pretty much guarantee if that happens again that another posting frenzy will follow.:rolleyes1

.........

Drivel? Did you say DRIVEL? Oh, you are so in for it the next time you go out of town for a few days!:rotfl2:

Not ALL of it was drivel... there was the announcement of Virginia's birth and Becky's Trip Report. A few pixie dust/prayer requests were in there too. But the rest.... :rolleyes1 :upsidedow

I'm thinking of booking a trip to Universal Studios with the boys. Our APs will have expired and they've been wanting to go back to US. If we do we would stay onsite at US, but have a rental car. I would take the kids to MNSSHP so we would have a little Disney in there and probably Downtown Disney too. We could get 7 consecutive day tickets to both parks for around $90 pp which is much more reasonable than Disney. The hotel rates are too bad either as we can get 5 people into one room.

Blasphemy! :lmao: We are looking at spending a day at US in March.

Sending you a PM as well, but did you get this taken care of?

ETA: Nevermind! Congratulations to Patrick!

Thank you, Jennifer! You all are so nice to each other. It is no wonder we have all stayed together for so long! :goodvibes  :goodvibes

hey!!! We just chatted like we used to....there just didn't happen to be as many chatting....you all were in the World.

If you want to call it drivel go ahead....but a little extra posting was worth coming home to from the World right??:goodvibes

I am famous!:cool1: Mary put a little note on MouseSavers thanking me for the info on the new Bounce back!:rotfl2:
Apparently Disney hasn't disclosed an ending date for this new promo.:headache: So it could still be available in Dec. or they could stop it before then. I imagine it has to do with how many rooms they book between now and then.
The 30% is better than the flat $70 AP discount (that is what the AP discount in Value season has been this year) EXCEPT on a standard room at AKL. The studio villas are $159 - $195 depending on which property. I would consider a studio at AKV or BCV. AKV has all different sizes and categories, and I think there are a limited number of each thing. A standard studio (with the discount) is only $8 per night less than a Savannah view room (with the discount IF they will discount savannah view) so in that scenario I would take the room and have 2 queen size beds! And if we took a pool view room it would be WAY cheaper. I just thought savannah view might be nice for a change. On the other hand, if we are talking about 9 nights (IF DH can get 9 nights) the difference between pool & savannah is almost $350!:scared1: Pool view it is!:rotfl2:

How cool to have a celebrity in our midst! :thumbsup2

I have to tell you that Bob and I are total AKL converts. We loved it there. In fact, one day I stayed at the resort the entire 24 hours. I spent lots of time wandering around, taking pictures, relaxing by the pool. We both said that is where we will stay next time we go to WDW, but we would make certain to have a Savannah view room the next time. We had a pool view, and it was nice. But, not worth the additional money, in our opinion. The only problem with going with a standard view room is that you run the risk of gettin a REALLY bad view! There were no Savannah view rooms available with our terrific rate on the Dining Discount "package" that we got. So, to be safe we opted for pool over standard. But, I would love to be able to wake up and open the draperies to view what I had to go seek out every morning at 6:30. Amazing!

sure made my last three days... interesting, shall we say? :rotfl2:

I did enjoy seeing how you all filled the time we were away!

Poor Stephanie. I am so sorry you aren't feeling well. Get those meds in you and GET BETTER so you can enjoy your memories!

Honestly... don't feel badly about not reading all the drivel that was posted while we were gone. :rolleyes1

And, as for a maid... I have an idea  Let's get a DDA maid and send him or her around the country like our Pal Mickey's did for a while! When one of us goes on vacation, the maid can get the house cleaned while we are gone, and house-sit in the process. Anyone have an idea where we would find an employment office that could help us with this task?
The party that my DGD went to last night... they have a live in maid. I want a maid! My feet are killing me. I took off the Crocs and they are still killing me.

I agree. I made a conscious decision to lose weight so that I could be here with my kids for a long time to come. I can't tell you how amazing I felt being 60 lbs lighter. I feel like a kid again. :thumbsup2

Stephanie take care of yourself and get lots of rest. Get those knees checked out too. We need you at running/dancing speed before our next DDA meet. You are sooooo much fun :thumbsup2
I want to feel amazing. I need to lose 70 pounds. I want to look like a Cheetah Girl while I'm dancing like one!!!:goodvibes :cool1: :rotfl2: :yay:

I can't wait. You'll do fine getting another job, Theresa. Maybe the next time they'll appreciate you. :goodvibes :goodvibes

Thanks for the movie review. Darn Crocs. Since I have to send back the pjs I bought DGS (too small) the Tink jacket I bought DGD (she won't wear it), I might as well send these feet killers back too.:headache:

I need to finish uploading my pictures to photobucket too. And look at our Photopass pictures. Which reminds me... thanks for the link to yourpictures, Deb! Very cool!

Also, Bernadette... I can hold off on my photopass CD order until you get back from your trip if you want. Let me know!

Ok moms and Tom. You all will probably not speak to me ever again but, I need to ask this question.

Why? to the bold in Janet's post. I have read this a lot on all boards here and just can't figure it out.

I know everyone loves their kids and wants to take them places or do things with them, but why can't you do things without them and more then once?
When Dawn and I were young, my parents went to a lot of places without us. We might get sad that they were going to be away, but we understood that kids don't always go and we didn't expect to go the next time that they went. We also didn't expect a gift(s) just because we couldn't go.

All families are different. It really is a personal thing. As a kid we went on all but one vacation with my parents (they went to the World Expo without us). I know that before I had my kids I thought that I'd make time for Chuck & I as a couple without the kids. We went to Mackinac Island for one night for our 10 year anniversary. The kids were 7 & 4. We had fun but I know we were thinking about how much fun the kids would have had as well. After that, they always went with us if we did anything like that. Even on this trip, there were a couple of things that Chuck & I didn't want to do because it just wasn't the same without Becky &/or Katrina.
