I should have booked flights for my Feb trip sooner, now I'm left with having to make a decision. I can get a nice flight there, direct and arrives around lunch time. But coming home I can either take a non-direct flight home leaving at 11 AM but having to deal with customs in Toronto and then flying to Ottawa, or the really late flight home, leaving Orlando at almost 9 PM. I'd need something to do that last day, we've never done a park the day we fly home. I'm nervous to leave my things at bell services and pick them up in time to get to the airport. But being able to fly direct and deal with customs in Ottawa seems nicer than going through Toronto. Though if I do that, when I do finally land in Ottawa I'd be able to just head straight home, no need to wait on bags or customs (planning a carryon only). This will teach me to delay booking the flights.

We have done the last flight of the night many times. Left all our stuff with bell services and headed to a park for the day. It’s actually a very nice way to end a trip. When doing this during hot weather we grab a wash cloth from the room and keep it in one of our bags. When we get back to the resort, pick up our bags and head out to the washroom/showers by the pool to wash up and change clothes. There are usually towels there but if not a pool towel does just fine.

Not sure if this is of interest to you but have you thought about a day room at the MCO Hyatt? We do this after a cruise and find it perfect. You get the room, check in is usually 10 AM, and use it till 6 PM. It's great to have a rest, take a shower, a place to put your luggage until check in for your flight. They have a pool on the roof of the hotel you can use. You can order food through the hotel or pop down to the terminal and pick something up there.
For us, it's a great way to relax and wind down after a go go go vacation.

I had to share my wonderful day yesterday. My sister and I went on a bus trip to Casino Niagara with my retiree group and the Casino gives us $35 in spending money and are you ready for this???? I won $501 at the old casino and $400 at the new casino all on their money. Yippee - I used a wee bit of the money and bought myself a new Roots wallet to replace my old decrepit one.

My daughter and some friends are there since last night to celebrate the end of their first semester exams, they wanted to try the casino for the first time. They got a $25 slots credit with their room and played the penny slots, won $3, lol.

He loves a quick visit to the Casino.

I had 104 AM post from Rewarding Your Opinion, I'm not quite sure why. It matches what I expected to get for the 5x AM Nov 14 - 16 ish, but it's not labelled as such... any one else? Just wondering if I check that off my list or not

In disney GC news, I had to call Tuesday about the card I bought, they said it would be 24 to 48 hours to be useable. It wasn't so I called back and this guy said it was flagged as fraud, but he put me on hold for 5 minutes and came back it was ready to use. So I quickly used it to pay down my balance for my Feb trip. Still owe a bit more but I didn't want to risk it disappearing or getting locked again or something. I won't be buying a card from that store again!

Just did my $125 shop for the 100 AMs. Wasn't hard since a 2KG bag of chocolate chips was $38 . Everyone better appreciate the Christmas desserts.

At 3am I decided not to go to work today…to avoid attending a retirement party for someone I’m not a fan of . So I will be heading off to do the groceries shortly. Hopefully this will be it until after Christmas.

I went out earlier this morning because the weather is suppose to change,,, cold, icy.
I picked up a 150$ GC at Sobeys ( 1,000 points on Scene card),, and then picked up a few things to to get another 2,500 points on scene card and meet the BMO spend $60.00 get 100 Airmiles.
I bought a Stuffed Butterball turkey breast and was pleased with the $20 price tag.

Just a quick reminder to anyone who thinks they can't make a large threshold spend this weekend, you can grab a gift card! Mastercard will only be looking at the merchant codes not what you buy there. Any grocery, liquor or warehouse/ club store (Costco), December 19th - 21st, the threshold appears to be different for each card holder.

I have to say my grocery expedition was something special. My usual store was out of a lot of stuff so I ended up going to 3 stores plus the LCBO. I just squeezed this one in with a grand total of $122. I don’t feel like I’ve appropriately shopped to make until after Christmas. To make matters worse my mother starts telling me how’s she’s going to cook a full Christmas dinner for her neighbours who are not Canadian because she said they should be eating ‘our type of food for Christmas’ How much more can I be made to suffer? She is not physically able to do that much work. I honestly doubt she could even lift a turkey into a grocery cart. SO…..now I’ve had to invite these people to my house for Christmas dinner.
I am currently regretting the choice I made to stay in Canada back in 1989.

If you could answer me this…does redeeming 95 cash miles count as one qualifying action AND does using airmiles travel to either redeem for a flight then also count as on action?(so two total). What if I redeemed cash miles and then used Airmiles travel to purchase a flight using my credit card?

No, it is the first redemption of any sort that counts as one offer, even if you do one cash and one dream, still only counts as ONE redemption offer. If you buy the travel of and kind, car rentals, hotel stay, flight, thru the travel section of the website and pay for the ENTIRE thing that will count as another offer.
Redeeming 95 cash miles =1 offer
Buying flight thru the travel portal = 1 offer.
Use your linked Mastercard to pay for that flight = an extra 50 miles but NOT an offer.

Ok husband and I have done 5 qualifying things each for STB finally with one day to spare thank goodness for AM receipts and survey counting. Santa bringing us all new undies from Amazon or Walmart haha. Printer is getting ink from staples. And I needed a small Instacart Costco order too.
