That is a wish I make almost every day of my life. You do look tremendous, though! Your hard work has definitely paid off.

Thanks.

I followed a Slim Fast for a couple months, which wasn't too bad, because I could have a few more calories since I'm still nursing. I still drink a shake for breakfast, but now I'm just watching my portion sizes and trying to resist too many goodies. I have no will-power, so I have to keep the junk food out of the house!

I think I have posted more tonight than I have in the past month and a half total. It has been a lot of fun, but I need to get going.

This coming week isn't looking good for DIS-ing, but I'll see what I can do.

Good night, DDA!

Mac used to post too.

I miss Paul's song of the day.

Kevin hardly ever gets on the Dis at all anymore (or so he says ;) )

DH got the phone bill the other day and he was looking to see how we are doing with the cell phone minutes. Our phone bill is like 15 pages long, so he was going through it almost line by line trying to figure it out. He saw a call that I had that was 74 minutes and he asked me who it was. I don't know, I don't memorize everyone's numbers! (I realized today it is Susan's cell # - I know her home # by memory but not her cell).
So today I was teasing him that if I was going to do something behind his back I would use e-mail to do it because he has never mastered e-mail. He is welcome to read my e-mail anytime - there's nothing interesting in it! Then I told him if he wants we can get him a user name and he can come post on the thread. He made a face at me.:rotfl: I think he is disappointed that I am not more mysterious!

Good night Beth! It was nice to see you posting!

And kudos to Matthew for taking the PSAT. I'm a huge advocate of that test. It'll be December before you know it!

That's funny!

Of course, I pretty much took over Kevin's username. As you can see, he registered in 2001, but my posting began in 2004. :rotfl:

Good Morning DDA,

Loved all the kiddie pictures, they grow up way too fast don't they. Since we're sharing pictures I thought I would share a few of my favorite little guy,

Great pictures! I love seeing how much the DDA kids and grandkids are growing up!

What a long day for Matthew!

Now, your pictures are interesting! My students used to take the same pose over and over...a vertical pictures of one runner on a path. Your pictures show the competition and beautiful foliage. A+ photography Beth! :thumbsup2

Great pics of the kids! Those leaves are beautiful! Our trees are either green or completely bare - nothing in between.

It was a long day. His race wasn't until 12:15, but he had to be there straight from the PSAT's. He said that the test didn't seem too hard. The vocab was a little tougher than what they had practiced, but the reading comp was much easier. He said that we probably won't see the results until December! I'm not that patient. :rotfl:

Thanks for the compliments. I have a ton of other pictures, but Photobucket is running extremely slowly for me tonight.

I hope he did well on the test!:wizard: Good night, Beth!

I agree! Those big head things look reall uncomfortable and heavy on their little heads. Love the Pooh one though! they both look so cute! :goodvibes

Thanks!

We went back to the zoo today, and most of the kids with those kind of costumes weren't wearing the hoods.

I'm going to date myself here (especially for Jen, Jen, and Becky), but remember those Halloween costumes that used to come in a box? It was a plastic poncho with a mask. Oh, the good ole' days! :rotfl:

Adorable!

I love taking pictures from the back. I took one recently where Kevin, Alyssa, and Matthew are all in step. :)

Princess insisted on holding his hand. I thought it was very sweet. I have one from the front, too, but I don't have permission to post pics of Princess.

Well they missed it again by thismuch:guilty: but it was better for this family that they didn't...Cassidy definitely is in the beginning throes of a cold and I think wind may be a trigger for my migraines...I just awoke from a 2 hour nap.

I'm sure you're all a mixture of emotions! :grouphug:

You all need to rest up the remainder of the weekend!

Just a simple photo editing software that came with our computer, and camera.

I really need to look into Photoshop though. It could come in handy to get some cute pics for my soon to be new job!;)

Love your new signature!

You seriously need to kiss Aunt Millie goodbye and go into business for yourself! You have an amazing talent!!!

Let the record show that I never quote Jennifer's posts, because I'm in almost daily contact with her behind the scenes. It would be nice to see her in person one of these days though. Someone decided to go to a corn maze today instead of the zoo. :sad2: :teeth:

Yup, sometimes.
After my sister got up to went to a super Walmart, never again. :sad2: Then we came home had dinner, sat and talked, and then went over to moms so John could help her put stuff upstairs.

you guys have lives outside of the dda?!

This evening, I had the "pleasure" of taking my children to a Pump It Up birthday party. I knew before I even left the house that it was going to be exhausting, because Kevin had a church function, so I was a solo parent.

For those of you unfamiliar with Pump It Up, it's one of those venues that have rooms full of inflatable bouncy structures and slides. There were 24 kids present, ranging in age from 1 to 14 (family and friends). Of course, parents were present, too.

The first 1/3 of the party was fun...the second 1/3 was tolerable, and by the time we got to the cake and presents, I was ready to bash my head against the wall. Both of my children failed to take a nap after the zoo, so we had some unpretty moments toward the end.

I'm just a "homemade" birthday party kind of gal. My ears are still ringing!

Thanks for all the comments on my new siggie pic!

Just something I was playing around with.

I will probably change it again!;)

We have to keep the out-of-towners guessing what siggies we all had whilst they were gone!:rolleyes1
