Bernadette, we're not supposed to be multi-quoting this weekend! :rotfl:

I know....but....I have this anal thing about not posting without being caught up so multiquoting is the only way for me to do it when I'm 10 to 20 pages behind.

Good night, Heidi & Amy!

I am going to go look for some dessert. We didn't buy another pie and since there weren't any good cakes at Sam's my choices are limited. I think all I have to work with are Oreos and vanilla ice cream.

Love the silly pictures Tom.

What did we do before digital cameras?!! :rotfl:

Thanks!

We used rolls and rolls of film, which we promptly put in a "safe place", only to never find that "safe place" ever again.:rotfl:

I am sure that there is a huge "safe place" out there somewhere full of everyone's most precious belongings.

Might be the in same place where the lost socks and gloves end up!:rolleyes1

Bernadette - No wonder Emma hates anything girly or pink! Your subliminal thoughts penetrated into the womb!:rotfl2: I wanted DS to be a girl. When they told me at the sonogram it was a boy I told them that was the CORD between HER legs. But then my OB said that radiologist hadn't been wrong in over a decade, so I decided I better suck it up and plan to have a boy. You can see who was right in this scenario.:rolleyes1
Well....what caused what? I think her tom boy behavior started when she was in the womb and my motherly instincts could already tell.:lmao: Truthfully....I had this rash on my arms when I was pregnant with Joe and not Lizzy. I had read when I was pregnant with Joe that it was more common in boy pregnancies. I had it again when I was pregnant with Emma and I was just sure she was a boy. I actually wanted another girl as I was thinking it would be easier.:rotfl2:

As I was looking through my photos I came across these that I thought were funny!
I remember Leighanna acting goofy that day, so I told her that I wanted to take a picture of her being silly!

She tried soooo hard to cross her eyes on the last one!
SO cute!!!!

Does the red strap come off? I've seen the turbo straps at the sporting goods store but I never really examined them to see how they work. I keep my straps flipped forward.

Not too easy but yes I took the red one off and replaced it with the lime green one. I think I just don't like the socks I have on today. I can't wear my crocs without socks. I also won't wear them to the parks but I do want to wear them on the plane. So much easier to get through security.

That is a great picture!

Leighanna got hers back, I believe that we are opting for a retake!

The crazy photographer didn't even center Leighanna in the picture, and she had such a fake smile. We even wrote comments to the photographer on how to get a natural smile from her. Apparently he didn't read it, or he was reading it when he took the picture, and only got half of her in it!

They take the Osgood School photos where Joe is this year (K-1-2) outside too. This is our 4th year at Osgood-Lizzy's 3 years plus this one. So all together 5 sets fo Fall photos. The fall photos are generally pretty poor. I had Joe's photo retaken last year as it was really out of focus. His teacher even had the class photo retaken as it was bad. His class photo this year is good and his smile is good but it is slightly out of focus and they have the sun shining on the top of his head so it looks like a halo on his head. But now he's got the black eye so I don't think I'll do the reshoot. The fall photos you have to prepurchase. The same company also takes spring photos and those always come out better. They take the photos and then send a mix of 5 sheets home and you pay something like $15 per sheet or $40 for all 5 sheets. I'm thinking it is a bit of a scam. They know you'll buy the fall photos for Christmas and for the class photo and then they get you to buy the spring photos because they are better.

The photo company (some national one-Lifetouch) offers the 3rd package from a family at 1/2 price so I figured I get one for 1/2 price next year when Emma's in K but then Lizzy came home with her order form and they use a local studio at her school-just another scam. I have not seen Lizzy's photos yet. I hope they are good.

Emma's were a bargain. $25 for 8 photos of her and the class photo on CD so I can get any prints made.

Bernadette - I had a rash on my face when I was first pregnant with DS. One day my cheeks were the texture of a basketball.:scared: My OB said she had a book called "Rashes of pregnancy" that was several inches thick. The rash went away, but I was really self-conscious while it was there. I must have only been a couple of weeks along because I wasn't showing and I wasn't sick yet. I was violently ill weeks 6-14, so it was before that. I had actually forgotten about that until just now.

Beth love the photos. So good to see you posting.

hope life slows down for you soon.

I thought about Ponchos last night after I went to bed. Fanny packs not sure if they would wear them. I have not seen any small Backpacks will have to astch the school clearance racks next year.

If you have a VF outlet near you, they might carry the Jansport mini backpacks. The one near me always has a bunch in different colors, designs, and patterns.

Precious pictures Bernadette! :goodvibes

What a great sweater, too!

Thanks!

Can I tell you all my drama last week with my SIL? She's obviously very talented! She was visiting from St Louis a few weeks ago and Lizzy asked her to help her knit a hat. Lizzy's school knits hats for the homeless. So Joe asked her if she would make him a hat. Emma has this cute pumpkin hat that she made-she's actually made her 2 as she outgrew the first one (well the first one was Lizzy's). She said sure. So a week or so after she got home Joe got a package from her. A hat and a scarf that she had started for him to try to knit. The hat was beautiful but the predominant color was pink.:confused3 We might as well pin a kick me sign on Joe if we send him to school in that hat. SO...now I get to try to learn how to knit Joe a hat. I mentioned it my SIL here in MA and we went to the yarn store to pick something out for Joe but DH's family wouldn't ever say anything to my St Louis SIL. She's really brilliant (chemical engineer) but doesn't always think too much.

Here is the real shocker....Emma says she'll wear the pink hat. I'll believe that when I see it.

I am going to go look for some dessert. We didn't buy another pie and since there weren't any good cakes at Sam's my choices are limited. I think all I have to work with are Oreos and vanilla ice cream.
Sorry you didn't get another pie. You'll have to go on a cake hunt tomorrow!

Thanks Bernadette!

I just noticed that you trip with Lizzy is less than 3 weeks away!:dance3:
I'm not ready!:scared1: But so looking forward to it!!!!!

I've actually got most of the clothes set aside. I put Lizzy's clothes aside before putting the summer stuff away. Lizzy wants us to wear matching T's everyday and we actually already had enough shirts to do that so I put my shirts in the same rubbermaid box with her stuff.

I need to find those glasses.

I need to make back ups of my August trip so I can erase my memory sticks.

I want to make my friends T's.

I was hoping to find a T for pal Mickey locally but all Micheals had was pink or purple. I'll try JoAnn's or ACMoore.

I want to make those Food & Wine Fest cards Becky posted the link to. And I was thinking of designing my own wine tasting cards.

What a long day for Matthew!

Now, your pictures are interesting! My students used to take the same pose over and over...a vertical pictures of one runner on a path. Your pictures show the competition and beautiful foliage. A+ photography Beth! :thumbsup2

I wholeheartedly agree A+ Beth!!

Good luck with the hat, Bernadette! Knitting needles are right up there with ironing shirts for me! Great potential for injury.

I am back on my kick about trying to decide IF they offer bounce back in December for next August if we should do that or go with the AP discount. I need something to think about while I wait for vacation bids.
