I was gonna offer to check a hotel/parking package for you but they start at $210 a night! :scared: I'm sure the car service will be fine.

Thanks Chanon, but I don't think Dana wants me gone anymore nights that I am already going.;)

I am running around like a chicken without a head! I am so excited!
By the way, have you planned for BB? I have a regular AP so I am not going to BB..I'll have to occupy myself shopping!:woohoo:

Hey, I like you & Janet's tickers better than mine!:lmao:

 Hi, all! I haven't had a chance to read to much, but I'm so excited for all of you getting ready to leave for Disney World!!!! :woohoo:

Hi, Beth! I hope we get to see more of you soon. I hope the school year continues to go well for all of you! :goodvibes

DS got his report card today. 2 surprises. 1) He got a "B" in math!! 2) He got a "B" in Band, with a numeric average of only 80.  That makes NO sense to me. He shows up every day with his drum sticks, so WHY is his grade so LOW? I need to e-mail the band director and/or the percussion teacher and ask what the deal is and find out how he can improve his grade in there. That really just boggles my mind.

Yay for the B in math!

Boo for the B in band! Hopefully, you can figure out where he's losing his points, so he can pull that grade up!

Still sounds like he did pretty well. :thumbsup2

Have I told ya all how cool it is having mom and Dawn living across the street. :cool1:
If I want to go somewhere, I just say mom lets go. :)
And Dawn and I were just talking to each other, standing on our porches. :teeth:

I'm glad you're enjoying having them close by, Heidi. :goodvibes

DH's week is not off to a good start. He fell in the parking lot at one of the stores this morning and scraped up his leg and broke his watch.:guilty: The rain was coming down in buckets and he was trying to hurry. I don't know if his watch can be repaired or not. He has several, but I think the batteries in his others are all dead.

Ouch! And in the rain yesterday, I don't blame him for hurrying. Poor guy - I hope he's not too sore today, and that his watch can be fixed quickly (and cheaply). :wizard: :wizard:

Well, I'm trying to get things organized and ready to go. I took the kids shopping after I got home. Alyssa needed black dress shoes, which I hadn't gotten yet. After 4 stores we finally found a pair in her size. They are both finishing their showers now and soon it will be bedtime!

Sounds like you've got things under control! :thumbsup2 Drive safely!!!

My husband, you gotta love him. He was working on one wall switch that had gone bad and proceeds to tell me. "I am working on a live one, be prepared to pull me off" Well, I just look at him and he then says, "I know, I know but I have worked on hundreds of them and I know what I am doing. Yes, I should turn off the electric but I cannot find the right breaker."

:rotfl: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: I just turned and kept on making supper.

Right now he is safely drilling to put up wiring because he is putting in a new water heater. A tankless one. Will be interesting seeing how this one works. He says he did his homework.

:scared1: :scared1:

I hope everything went smoothly with the installation. Those tankless heaters are neat - we almost went with one when replacing our hot water heater recently, but it would have required some new piping that we just didn't feel like spending the $$ on (this won't be our forever house).

Joe has a black eye. The first one any of my kids has had. He was sort of running up the stairs on all fours last night and tripped and hit the side of his eye on the edge of the hardwood landing. It was bruised before he made it down the stairs. Luckily his eye isn't swolen today but it looks nasty.

Ouch! Poor Joe - I hope it looks worse that it hurts. :wizard: :wizard: for him!

I have my new Donner bag ready for the parks. I like the room it has & think it will work ok. Only problem, it is going to bother my shoulder. Even though I do not have it over packed it feels heavy. I looked last night for a shoulder pad to put on the strap but had no luck. Does anyone that is going have an extra one that I could borrow? I need something like this:

http://www.manhattanportage.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=174

I plan on ordering one for our Dec. trip!
No, sorry Janet, I don't. I don't own a bag, I always use backpacks. Actually I planned on bringing my Disney drawstring backpack but now that its filled, the strings may get annoying on my shoulders.....I'll have to see if I bring that or a small backpack that has broud shoulder straps.

I also have a new camera that I have never used so I hope I know what I am doing so my pictures come out well. Did I say I was excited????:yay:

What about something like this? I can bring it for you - we have both the red and the blue in stock here - but I doubt it will go with your green bag! Sorry, here's the link now!

Hey, I like you & Janet's tickers better than mine!:lmao:
I forget what we're doing instead of BB...I'll have to go dig out the schedule. I'm too busy freaking out about signing the papers this afternoon. And debating on going Business for an extra $60 tomorrow for a 2 hour 17 minute flight. And trying to figure out if I want to get there earlier than 12:30pm.

Ok I am half packed. I didn't realize how much stuff I need for just little old me!

Long day at work. Not enough help & alot of long lines. I did have one lady come in & ask me one question about the best place to dine with the princesses & that turned into quite a conversation.:rolleyes1

Night all!!!

Want to come pack me?!? ;)

Glad you had fun "talking shop" at work today! :thumbsup2 Is everyone jealous that you're going to the World this week?

ughhh..my grandmother just called and said my grandfather (the one that is sick) thinks he sprained his wrist. My grandma wanted me to get ini touch with my mom and shes not answering..i just hate being an hour away from them!

Lots of :wizard: :wizard: for him, Jen!

You need to print up Disney Planner Extraordinaire business cards and slip them in peoples bags as they check out. ;)

Fabulous idea! :thumbsup2

So i iwont be around much tomorrow--im working, then i have a meeting at work about a child in my class..then my mom and i are going down the shore for dinner wth my grandparents for my bday...no clue when we will be home!

I hope today goes well for you!!!

The boys are in bed :cool1: :cool1:

Chris and I finally signed our Will's. I made them a long time ago, but never found the time or motivation to get them signed and notorized, but we did it tonight along with Guardian papers in case my parents need to give the kids medical care while we are gone. It feels like overkill, but I want to make sure that their needs are taken care of in case a something happens.

I also dropped off the bowling ball to be drilled. Hunter's room is 100% clean and Nick's is about 75% done. I'll finish that in the morning then move on. It feels like things are coming together :cool1: I need to alter a pair of jeans so I guess that will be my last project for tonight. Chris has a couple of tests that he needs to take for work tonight so he is online doing that.

Sounds like a good day at the Brooks' household. Good for you for doing your wills!

I really did read everything but my brain is mush.'s, :wizard: and:cheer2: to any and all that I missed.

It's been a long day and the sad part is I only had my kids and Eric. All the daycare kids were sick. Eric came home early as he wasn't feeling well and it was just a bad day from there. He totally throws off the dynamic during the week. I just feel off and can't seem to get to the bottom of it.

We had a good weekend. Went to a farm with our friends their 2 DD's, my mom and their family friend. The girls had a blast. We trekked through a corn maze, this was so much fun. Molly was so cute trying to follow the map.

With that I am off to bed. Night all!!

Hi, Robyn! Love the new picture of the girls! I hope you are feeling more yourself today!

So I am kicking myself in the tush. I was supposed to call three people tonight about work related issues. They are parents of girls or volunteers. All three said they needed to be called after 6:30pm or 8pm. Well I had a meeting tonight and totally forgot to call them. It was a volunteer meeting but still had me occupied. I will not call people I don't know at almost 10pm. 10pm is after 6pm or 8pm but I think it is too late to call total strangers.

Tomorrow the CEO is coming for lunch and to discuss the Strategic plan which the board recently approved. Plus I have a service unit meeting at night. I have a night meeting Tuesday-Thursday night.

I have to call the bank tomorrow as I cannot access my new account online.

Lots of :wizard: :wizard: for getting it all done, Becky! I think we've all had those days, where things just slip through the cracks.

I had to come back to post this Aidan update...

Four simple letters... H O M E

So strange to right that. I get chills just looking at what those letters form. Many definitions of the word and many ways it is said, but the simplest for me is "He's coming HOME". We spoke with the doctor today and we will be rooming in this weekend with the hopes of Medical Equipment arriving and him staying healthy.

He did 20 hours off the vent today and tomorrow he will go for 22. We got word today that my insurance is back in action, however the medicaid stuff to help us with nurses didn't arrive until last Friday, even though we mailed it to Grand Prairie on the 24th of Sept. Thanks USPS. So we will have to wait for that approval to help financially but we will bring him home before he makes a one night stay at a local nursing home for those benifits to kick in. This should happen in a few weeks, so we hope our finances will make it that far.

I was just looking back at my first post and can't believe how far we have gone. I know that Naomi and I couldn't have done it without the petitions of all those around us and the support of our Father. So those first 48 hours have come and gone and now we have a new time table in front of us, but wow is it exciting.

Thanks for all your prayers, it ain't over yet, but gosh it's getting close to the "real" work. We will still need all those prayers, heck maybe even more. Although we are thankfull for all of your continued support!

What a wonderfull answer to prayers we are able to present.

What great news for them! Must be so thrilling.

Janet,
Are you bringing capris? The weather forecast doesn't go below 70 at night...Maybe I'll throw 2 pairs in to be safe. It's cold here so I will be on the plane in long pants, & a sweatshirt. I am looking forward to the warm weather..I don't like cold. (nothing below 65!!!!! )

I was just looking at the weather and it is going to be near 80 degrees at midnight Thursday night. I guess we're in for some heat. I won't need to carry a sweater with temps that high. Unfortunately we are having frosts here so I will need jeans and a jacket for departure and return as it will be very early or very late. Otherwise shorts and t-shirts should work well. :thumbsup2

Actually I am keeping rather quiet about it. Only my immediate family knows. My MIL would crucify me if she knew I was going away without her son & our kiddies. Shes a very suspicious woman. When I am DIS'ing, she comes over my shoulder & says "what are you doing?" I told one of my girlfriends last week but thats it. I don't talk too much about it to Dana because I know he wants to come in the worst way (he has more Disney shirts than I do!:lmao: ) but someone has to be home with the kiddies. He is such a sweety, I hate to rub it in. I have to find something wonderful to bring back for him.

I forget what we're doing instead of BB...I'll have to go dig out the schedule. I'm too busy freaking out about signing the papers this afternoon. No worries, deep breaths Chanon!!!!

I am listening to Soarin on live 365 right now..oh man I can't wait to ride Soarin this week!!!and ToT!! and test track...and Splash.... Yea, I am 10 years old!:rotfl2: :confused3

Oh, by the way. October travelers...just a warning..

I cry at everything ...I cry at Illuminations, Wishes, Fantasmic, all parades, pretty much everything. ok????? Don't point & laugh, just get me a tissue!:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl:

Everybody should have a PM waiting with their names for the ornament exchange.

A reminder $5 minimum before shipping and let's have the packages to their recipients before Thanksgiving.

Thanks all!!!

Thanks, Theresa! I'm so excited! :goodvibes

Thanks a bunch, Theresa! Can I make a request from all the DDAs who are doing this? How about we agree to NOT buy any Disney ornaments for ourselves until after the ornament exchange is done in case we would end up getting the same thing our ornament buddy gets us?

That sounds like a good idea! I don't think I've bought anything Disney thus far this year, and will try to be a good girl and just buy for others...;)

I am finally starting to feel better! Thanks for all the good thoughts!

I am going to list a couple of Leighanna's outfits that I made on Evil-Bay this weekend. I hope to make a few dollars for a down payment for a "proposed" trip either next summer, or possibly early December of next year!

To all those that I have missed, lots of prayers and pixiedust to you all!

Glad to hear that you're feeling better, Tom!

Let me know when/where the items are listed on EvilBay - I want to pass the links along. ;)

Hi everyone!'

We`re here and having an AMAZING time!! Can't say enough good things about Boardwalk. They have been really doting on us. We got some flowers and chocolates in our room...service has been exceptional!!

By far one of the best things we have ever done was dine at Victoria & Alberts. What an experience!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well worth every penny!!

Sounds like a great time thus far - you guys deserve it, and you both looked great! I'd love to hear all about your V&A experience. Have fun on the KTTK tour - that is still one of my all-time favorite days in Disney!

I'm sure Garrett & Riley will enjoy a few of these nights lol I asked Gary what he would like me to get at the store & he said stuff like chicken strips, fries, breakfast items, you know easy stuff Gotta love'em!

And what, pray tell, is wrong with those things?!?!

:rotfl: :rotfl:

45 1/2 hours until we take off I woke up at 4:30 this morning in a cold sweat as I was thinking that I had forgotten to checkin with SW. Of course I can't check in until 6:30 AM TOMORROW morning. Isn't it funny what thing come to us in the middle of the night.

I had the same thought in the shower this morning, Deb! I had to remind myself that it's not until tomorrow a.m. that I can check in!

if there is any spare PD floating around the DDA could I ask that some be sent winging its way to Boston? Kathrin has landed and is checked into the Omni. She has a 3 hour interview this afternoon with one company and another long interview with the second company tomorrow morning.

She will get back into the Richmond airport tomorrow night about 9:45 and will meet Kristin and Bob and me at the Doubletree there instead of driving home and then back again Thursday morning. So, it will feel like our vacation starts tomorrow too! :woohoo:

Of course there is - lots of :wizard: :wizard: for her!

Lindsay, you have my prayers too. Having been there with my own brother, I can completely empathize. The only time I ever used a certain expletive in front of my mother was during one a "Paul episode." We can laugh about it now, but I was furious at the time.

Awesome pics, Amy - I loved the one of Alyssa and the other little girl. Thanks also for the prayers. It's nice to hear from several of you that you can empathize, and we can use all the prayers we can get for the situation!

Janet,

I'm brining capris to wear the majority of the time - I don't like wearing shorts. :goodvibes

I called the vet & they are going to give me some medicine to help her out. I have my 1st scratches from her, I was trying to clean her & she did not appreciate that lol

Poor Mia - I hope the medicine works! :wizard:

By the way, have you planned for BB? I have a regular AP so I am not going to BB..I'll have to occupy myself shopping!:woohoo:

Hey, I like you & Janet's tickers better than mine!:lmao:

Yes, can someone repost the schedule? Since we decided last month that Jonathan wasn't going to come, I'm basically untethered, and can go anywhere, at any time just about. I do have some shopping I want to do, but that's about it. :rolleyes1

I won't be able to do BB, either, as I don't have a PAP, and don't feel like buying a day pass.

Good luck with the closing today, Chanon!!!!!

Understood. :goodvibes I am so excited to be going to Disney with people just like me - you guys "get it"! I think Jonathan is excited to have the break! :rotfl: And most of my other "every day" friends just roll their eyes.

Yes, we are 10 years old - isn't it great?!!?! :yay:

Oh, by the way. October travelers...just a warning..

I cry at everything ...I cry at Illuminations, Wishes, Fantasmic, all parades, pretty much everything. ok????? Don't point & laugh, just get me a tissue!:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl:

and for those of us being left behind....let's buy stock in Kleenex. :rotfl: :rotfl:

Okay Miss Elin and Miss Theresa you were both wrong, about Virginia coming this weekend or yesterday.

Well, we're going to skip swimming today. Princess is a GROUCH. We went to the mall to get DH's watch fixed. She threw a HUGE fit about sitting in the stroller, which is not like her at all. We popped in the Disney Store and picked up some Studio T's for $2.99 each, then we stopped at the grocery to buy milk. She screamed about being put in the cart (which she NEVER does) and continued to scream all the way through the store!:scared: She even had tears! When I told her we were going to swimming she said NO NO NO! OK. Fine. No swimming today.

I am going to give her some lunch and put her down for her nap. Cranky thing!

I do, too, usually. We can be a sniveling mess together. ;)

I'm not planning on BB Anne Marie

I am running around like a chicken without a head! I am so excited!
