It's a vicious cycle isn't it?!! I'm going to be back way too soon for my taste, and then I'll be lamenting about your trip!

Wouldn't it be great if we could all chipped in and bought a DDA house in Celebration? :rotfl:

Amy :)

Now THAT sounds like a plan! :thumbsup2

Hi Denise! How is everything in triplefigland?

Better, but if I could go to WDW in May it would be perfect! Still working on it...

Amy, Kevin, Alyssa, and Matthew: have a great trip! Tell Mickey I said hi tomorrow on my b'day!

Happy B'day to Nancy!

Kate, hope Nick and Steve feel better soon.

Hugs to all those who are sick and not feeling good. Hugs to all those facing struggles with family crisis and big decisions.

Denise, it's good to "see" you again! How's your eye? How about the kids? Do they all have strep? Or are you going to be lucky and only have one of them down with it?

The kids and I are going to make a Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese icing tomorrow. It'll be their first cake! Then we're going to dinner for seafood.

DH's parents are coming Saturday, so he's taking me to the movie. Our 11th Wedding Anniversary is on April 1st (yes, April Fools Day), and we just got tickets to go to the Symphony and out to a new restaurant called One.Midtown. Should be fun.

I taught all weekend, so I'm wiped. BK is much better. I am falling apart. I still have pink eye, sinus/ear infection, but I also either have another kidney stone or a kidney/bladder infection. My antibiotic should take care of it if it's the 2nd one. If it's a kidney stone, I just wait it out.

Have a great trip! Take lots of pictures!

Well, the first part of your post sounds great! It sounds like you have a lot of fun stuff to look forward to :goodvibes

Take care of yourself, though, and feel better SOON already! I hope that it is just an infection so that you'll treat it all at once and get it over with quickly! :wizard:

Isn't it amazing what ice cream can do? The fact that his scar will allow him to look more like his hero, Harry Potter, doesn't hurt, either.

Jacob and Rees would get along great! Rees loves HP!

Kevin just called the owners of the house we looked at last night to set up a meeting for tonight...she said that as soon as we left, her husband said, "Those are the people I want to buy our house!" :goodvibes

They even cancelled their meeting with a realtor today, stating they think they already have a buyer. :sunny:

So, it seems all that's left to do is agree on a number...

Oh, and sell our house and pray that all the financing goes through!!!

Amy :)

That sounds so good! I'll keep sending :wizard: to keep the good mojo going.

If anyone's really bored, I just rediscovered a website my sister dedicated to Alyssa. She hasn't updated it in awhile, and it made me all sentimental, because my baby is going to be 2 on April 3rd!!! :goodvibes

Oh and please someone tell me my body's going to look like that again!!! :teeth:

Does anyone know anything about cats and olive oil?

Odd question I know but DH is having to put olive oil in my ear to clear a wax blockage and my cat Rosie keeps trying to lick the oil off the bottle. So I tried googling to check it wasn't poisonous as she has just been sick and I don't want her to poison herself now with olive oil! Anyway it says that feeding cats olive oil can help stop them throwing up hairballs... which she does at least once a month. Anyone else done this?

Ouch!! Well, your day can only get better- right?? :grouphug:

Sure. All the bad stuff HAS to be behind me, right? Now it's on to fun stuff like making a birthday cake, and shopping for gifts for my babies. How did 4 years go by so quickly? That's what I'd like to know. When they were born, I never thought they'd get to be so big, but it's gone by in a flash!

Guess I'm feeling a bit sentimental today. I guess it's allowed, right? When your babies grow up, and you know there are no more in your future, it kind of hits hard. I know some of you know what I'm talking about.

Both my DD's and I are big Harry Potter fans! Awesome story line. What will we do after the last book is released!!! :confused3

Well, this has been quite a morning. I got Katie and Jacob out the door to the bus stop this morning, ran around doing laundry and dishes, and getting the twins dressed. Mondays are the day that I help out at the school doing the take-home reading project. We got there, did our bit, and left as soon as possible. Today is "early out" day, so I had to do all the shopping for the twins 4th birthday before Jacob came home early from kindergarten. We ran to the store, got the stuff for cake and ice cream, Winnie the Pooh burgers, Piglet's potato salad, and Owl's fruit salad, then zipped home. As I'm unloading groceries, I saw the light flashing on the answering machine. Then I heard my cell phone ring. Duh! I'd forgotten to take my cell phone with me.

I answer my cell phone, and it's DH. He tells me the school called him to let him know that Jacob slipped on the way to recess and fell into a brick wall. They told him that he had a gash on his forehead, and someone needed to pick him up right away. So, I buckle the twins back in the van, speed to the school with horrible visions flashing through my mind, and get there in record time. Jacob was sitting in the office, holding a bag of ice on his head. He had a gash about an inch long that was bleeding quite a lot (head wounds, you know?). So, I get him to the car, drop the twins off at my SIL's house, and take Jacob to the hospital. Meanwhile, Jacob is freaking out because he just doesn't want stitches. I didn't dare promise him that he wouldn't get any, because frankly, it looked pretty bad to me. The doctor confirmed what I thought, and I had to hold Jacob down while the dr. gave him 4 shots in his forehead (ouch!), and then 5 stitches. Poor little guy tried so hard to hold still, but he was crying hysterically!

Once it was over, we went to Wendy's for lunch, picked up the twins and came home. Whew! I need a nap. Jacob is white as a sheet, and has a headache from Hades! I'm hoping that the Motrin will kick in and he'll get some relief. Luckily, there was no sign of a concussion!

So, how's your day??????

Oh my, all in a morning! Poor Jacob (and you!). I hope he feels better soon.

That's my biggest fear -- stitches for my kids. I've had to hold down while they put an elbow back in place, while it was broken, but that was a quick jerk. My sister was the x-ray tech so that was a piece of cake. Other than that, we've only had sedation MRI's and spinal taps to go through. I dread the day we have to do stitches. Big :grouphug: to you Glynis, and :grouphug: to Jacob.

Ooooo, DH's parents...I hope they "behave" themselves! I don't want to come back and read that they did this to you again :furious:

I hope you are feeling well enough to truly enjoy your birthday! :goodvibes

And take pictures of those cuties baking their first cake! :sunny:

As I was baking on Saturday, I kept thinking, someday Alyssa and Matthew will help me with these and my cookies won't look quite so perfect. :rotfl:

Yep, we'll be back on the 28th. Kevin even plans on going to his council meeting that evening, so I'll be online in a deep depression. ;)

Don't worry about it. We'll be here for you.
