After Becky was born (and Chuck ate my dinner), I was starving. They had nothing to feed me. This was in the dark ages when you didn't have 24 hour fast food restaurants. Luckily one of the nurses had an apple & some crackers to help tide me over to breakfast. Mind you, Becky was born at 7:45pm so it was hours before I could get a decent meal!!

And if it was hospital food it probably wasn't that decent!! :rotfl2:

Yep, we'll be back on the 28th. Kevin even plans on going to his council meeting that evening, so I'll be online in a deep depression. ;)

Amy :)
Oh, I am so jealous! I wish I were going tomorrow. But I know I shouldn't complain, since we'lll be there in less than 2 months.

Kevin just called the owners of the house we looked at last night to set up a meeting for tonight...she said that as soon as we left, her husband said, "Those are the people I want to buy our house!" :goodvibes

They even cancelled their meeting with a realtor today, stating they think they already have a buyer. :sunny:

So, it seems all that's left to do is agree on a number...

Oh, and sell our house and pray that all the financing goes through!!!

Amy :)

Yay! How exciting. It sounds like a good start to me!

That's awesome Clare! :thumbsup2

And I say, better late than never. Besides, you can give everyone a link to your trip report and explain this is what's occupied your time for the past few months! :teeth:

Amy :)

Hi Denise! How is everything in triplefigland?

Clare - I think that is absolutely gorgeous!!

I think so! Not immediately, but.... :rolleyes1

I actually had dropped the idea of even TALKING about it until we get settled into a house, both start working, etc. But he brought it up! Some mumbo jumbo about meeting with this financial guy, and how "really, before student loans go into repayment (not for another 4 years) and before we have kids now would be the perfect time to do such a thing", etc

The more-sane part of me, surprisingly, tried to disagree because it is a big purchase. But who am I to argue with my husband (never! :rotfl2: ) and even more so with someone who's business is financial planning .... especially if it gets me to Disney more often?!

I still won't believe it though, until I see it happening. This is the same man who, just 4 months ago heard about DVC and thought it would be something nice to look into "when our kids are out of school" Huh?!?!? What logic is there in that?

Believe me, I'll keep you all posted, especially if it actually turns out to be a real possibility.

I hope it works out!!!

Similar thing happened to us this weekend. We were out looking at cars yesterday. We always go on Sunday so we can walk the lot freely without the salespeople around. The sad thing is, we don't need a new car. I have a 2002 Dodge Durango R/T with only 41000 miles on it. DH can only hang onto cars about 4 years before he is sick of them. I just assumed we would get another Chrysler or something (althought I was secretly hoping for a Mercedes ML 350 SUV!!) Well to my surprise, DH was looking at the Infiniti QX56

So, um, OK, honey, whatever you want :thumbsup2 We may go test drive it this weekend!!!!!!

It's a vicious cycle isn't it?!! I'm going to be back way too soon for my taste, and then I'll be lamenting about your trip!

Wouldn't it be great if we could all chipped in and bought a DDA house in Celebration? :rotfl:

poor little Jacob - watching your little one get stitches is the worst!! Give hime big hugs and lots of ice cream!!! Around here - ice cream cures EVERYTHING!!!!

Isn't it amazing what ice cream can do? The fact that his scar will allow him to look more like his hero, Harry Potter, doesn't hurt, either.

Well, you have to pick your battles. I'd have let that one slide, too :rotfl2:

Yeah... only I haven't finished the trip report yet either! :rotfl:

I'm just watching airline USA... it's funny that it's the same stories as our version but based in another airport, you always have the person who turns up at the airport just before their flight and then complains when they miss it... in this case it was 6 minutes??? How can you expect to board a flight within 6 minutes? That's just ridiculous, but the guy stood there and argued til he was blue in the face that they should have held the plane for him! :rotfl:

The kids and I are going to make a Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese icing tomorrow. It'll be their first cake! Then we're going to dinner for seafood.

DH's parents are coming Saturday, so he's taking me to the movie. Our 11th Wedding Anniversary is on April 1st (yes, April Fools Day), and we just got tickets to go to the Symphony and out to a new restaurant called One.Midtown. Should be fun.

I taught all weekend, so I'm wiped. BK is much better. I am falling apart. I still have pink eye, sinus/ear infection, but I also either have another kidney stone or a kidney/bladder infection. My antibiotic should take care of it if it's the 2nd one. If it's a kidney stone, I just wait it out.

Have a great trip! Take lots of pictures!
