He could tell you that you are "glowing" and you wouldn't like it anymore. Darn husbands anyway!!!! They just don't understand! My DH actually sat and ate my breakfast when I was in labor with my first DD and ate my dinner when I was in labor with my second. He still doesn't understand why it upset me. Hey, if I couldn't eat, why should he??!!

While I was getting my epidural, DH was in the maternity ward lobby having pizza with the nurses!!!!!!!!!! When Kyle was born 3 hours later, I begged my nurse to heat up a piece for me while the doctor was "finishing".

Well, this has been quite a morning. I got Katie and Jacob out the door to the bus stop this morning, ran around doing laundry and dishes, and getting the twins dressed. Mondays are the day that I help out at the school doing the take-home reading project. We got there, did our bit, and left as soon as possible. Today is "early out" day, so I had to do all the shopping for the twins 4th birthday before Jacob came home early from kindergarten. We ran to the store, got the stuff for cake and ice cream, Winnie the Pooh burgers, Piglet's potato salad, and Owl's fruit salad, then zipped home. As I'm unloading groceries, I saw the light flashing on the answering machine. Then I heard my cell phone ring. Duh! I'd forgotten to take my cell phone with me.

I answer my cell phone, and it's DH. He tells me the school called him to let him know that Jacob slipped on the way to recess and fell into a brick wall. They told him that he had a gash on his forehead, and someone needed to pick him up right away. So, I buckle the twins back in the van, speed to the school with horrible visions flashing through my mind, and get there in record time. Jacob was sitting in the office, holding a bag of ice on his head. He had a gash about an inch long that was bleeding quite a lot (head wounds, you know?). So, I get him to the car, drop the twins off at my SIL's house, and take Jacob to the hospital. Meanwhile, Jacob is freaking out because he just doesn't want stitches. I didn't dare promise him that he wouldn't get any, because frankly, it looked pretty bad to me. The doctor confirmed what I thought, and I had to hold Jacob down while the dr. gave him 4 shots in his forehead (ouch!), and then 5 stitches. Poor little guy tried so hard to hold still, but he was crying hysterically!

Once it was over, we went to Wendy's for lunch, picked up the twins and came home. Whew! I need a nap. Jacob is white as a sheet, and has a headache from Hades! I'm hoping that the Motrin will kick in and he'll get some relief. Luckily, there was no sign of a concussion!

So, how's your day??????

Pixie dust :tink: to Jacob. Hope he is feeling better soon. Pixie dust :tink:to Mommy for having such an exciting morning.

Okay I had to leave work early today. My mom called and said that Olivia had not eaten or drank anything yet today. this was at 11am. When I took her to Grandmas this morn, she was weazing. she has had a cough and runny nose off and on since christmas. we have had one diganosis of sinus infection.
fast forward to after the Dr appointment. we think she has a virus but it seems to have triggered an astma episode. The Dr. had me give her a breathing treatment. it seemed to help her some. They did a chest xray and it was negative for pneumonia. so they gave me a script to get a nebuliazer. well my insurance won't cover it from places like walgreens. I have to go to a medical supply store which is not open on Sun. she still has hardly drank or ate anything. she will tell me she wonts something like icecream or chicken and fries I offer it to her and she then says no thank you!
all she has done all afternoon is they on my lap. she sleeps for a little and then she wakes up. I think it might be a long night.

:grouphug: Hope she feels better soon!

After Becky was born (and Chuck ate my dinner), I was starving. They had nothing to feed me. This was in the dark ages when you didn't have 24 hour fast food restaurants. Luckily one of the nurses had an apple & some crackers to help tide me over to breakfast. Mind you, Becky was born at 7:45pm so it was hours before I could get a decent meal!!

:Pinkbounc Oh boy!! Does this mean what I think....?

I think so! Not immediately, but.... :rolleyes1

I actually had dropped the idea of even TALKING about it until we get settled into a house, both start working, etc. But he brought it up! Some mumbo jumbo about meeting with this financial guy, and how "really, before student loans go into repayment (not for another 4 years) and before we have kids now would be the perfect time to do such a thing", etc

The more-sane part of me, surprisingly, tried to disagree because it is a big purchase. But who am I to argue with my husband (never! :rotfl2: ) and even more so with someone who's business is financial planning .... especially if it gets me to Disney more often?!

I still won't believe it though, until I see it happening. This is the same man who, just 4 months ago heard about DVC and thought it would be something nice to look into "when our kids are out of school" Huh?!?!? What logic is there in that?

Believe me, I'll keep you all posted, especially if it actually turns out to be a real possibility.

Good Morning My DDA Friends :)

I have missed hanging out with ya'll on here but life has been a bit busy. I am going to make a long story short with little drama.

1. My stepdaughter (Melissa), her husband and my grandaugher (Haley, 6)have been living with us since mid-Feb. Let's just say they are re-grouping financially and will probably be with us for about 6 months.
2. My stepson (Sam) has moved back in with us........not by his own doing but by the suggestion of his wife. They are having some marital problems to work thru. I think 50% of their problems have to do with his mother-in-law that they have been living with. My son has a little boy, Jake (3) and he is really missing his family. Did I mention my daughter-in-law is due to have a baby in 5 days!!!! My son Sam and Lindsy are getting along good. We were all at the hospital Saturday night until Sunday morning and then sent home since the contractions stopped and she was only dialated 3cm. There is so much drama to go into with this situation that I could write forever about it. Let's just say he has a very needy mother-in-law and if she isn't the center of attention then there starts the problems.

Of course then there is my husband and my two boys. We are adjusting well. I am doing everything I can to be sure that my older kids problems do not effect my younger two. So far so good. My older kids have been mine that I have raised since they were in K and 2nd grade so I love them as my own.

Anyway............that is what I am doing and going thru right now so any prayers that can be said for Sam and Lindsy and their marraige I would really appreciate it.

Did ya'll notice my ticker.....11 days until our cruise!!!

By for now..........Lynn

:grouphug: :wizard: Good luck!!

How is the packing & autograph pages coming?

Packing list is printed... :teeth:

Autograph book is done! :thumbsup2

I just called Kevin and suggested we leave tonight to avoid the winter storm, but Mr. Optimistic seems to think we'll be just fine. I guess I would have had a better case, if we were packed! ;)

Amy :)

Amy, Kevin, Alyssa, and Matthew: have a great trip! Tell Mickey I said hi tomorrow on my b'day!

Happy B'day to Nancy!

Kate, hope Nick and Steve feel better soon.

Hugs to all those who are sick and not feeling good. Hugs to all those facing struggles with family crisis and big decisions.

How long are you going to be gone, Amy? A whole week?

Kristin -

I took Julia to WDW on her 3rd birthday - and seriously can you think of a better way to spend your birthday as a kid?!!? Nick was born in August so we will never take him on his birthday and I feel bad for him!!!

Tell your DH - Kyle is only young once and you should go now while he still wants to!!!

Don't worry, as someone posted earlier (Midnite, I think) there are "ways" to persuade him :rolleyes1
Plus, I am a spoiled brat- I always get my way!! :rotfl:

Kevin just called the owners of the house we looked at last night to set up a meeting for tonight...she said that as soon as we left, her husband said, "Those are the people I want to buy our house!" :goodvibes

They even cancelled their meeting with a realtor today, stating they think they already have a buyer. :sunny:

So, it seems all that's left to do is agree on a number...

Oh, and sell our house and pray that all the financing goes through!!!

Amy :)

Yep, we'll be back on the 28th. Kevin even plans on going to his council meeting that evening, so I'll be online in a deep depression. ;)
