Kim - I hope you don't have too much traffic.

Does anyone have the Remember When song by Leann Rimes? I think it was Disneyland's 50th Anniversary song? I'm working on my slideshow and I have a great place for it but for some reason my program is not accepting my CD.

Last year, a group of the moms got into a battle with the bus driver because she supposeably was screaming at the kids and was telling the kids to do the opposite of what the parents were telling them (something about disembarking from the bus). Tbe parents called the Department of Transportation and had the drivers supervisor come out. It went on and on. The moms started driving their kids to school. I guess that they thought that the bus driver would change this year. Well...she didn't. It's the same bus driver. The DOT said that they weren't going to switch her.

This is all second hand. I always drove my kids to school because it's easier than chasing the little one around the bus stop. Now...he wants to ride the bus and it comes at the same time that I would drive them anyway so I thought that I'd let them ride the bus there and then will pick them up after school.

I'm not sure what to believe since my kids weren't on the bus so this is all second hand. This mom has called the DOT multiple times to complain about this, that and the other that maybe they don't take her seriously anymore. Like...oh...it's her calling again. :confused3 Maybe the bus driver is inappropriately yelling at the kids. I guess it all depends on what kids are being yelled at too. I'd probably yell at a couple of them myself. Don't know. It's a he said/she said thing.

The moms are all in an uproar and sent out a letter to everyone in the neighborhood. I *really* don't want to get all involved with the mess but I guess that I'll let the kids ride and see what happens and judge for myself.
The 2 neighbors were over at my house today playing with Nicholas. I asked SH what was up with it and he said something like the driver yells at them for no reason. When I hear a 9 yo say there was no reason, that means there WAS a reason. He said she would put the overhead lights on and that they couldn't talk. All I can say is that I remember being that age and riding the school bus. We were a handful I'm sure! I asked Nicholas about it and he said he never had any problems.

Kim - You guys arrive the day we depart. I bet we'll miss you because we'll have to get on ME at 11 AM.

Heidi - We love Crystal Palace! OK, not so much this past trip where they had issues with seating people on time, but in general we love it!

Tammi & Kim- I hope the bus goes OK! I used to HATE riding the bus. Especially when we had to sit 3 kids per seat. Not fun!:headache:

Does anyone know if we can book the carriage rides at the WL yet?

I want to say it is a 60-day window. Have not been able to find confirmation of this yet, though. Still checking!

I have it on CD. I've never tried to email anyone a song but I could try it if you think it would work.

I thought Lindsay just booked at 90 days?????

I've got about 16 more photos to add borders too but it is not getting any faster.....

Bernadett and Elizabeth, thanks for the thoughts on CP. Definitely one to try.

Well, none of the carriage ride info on AllEars says how far in advance you can book.:confused3 But now I am considering doing the Seas Aqua Tour next summer.:rolleyes1 It's amazing what you stumble across when you are looking for something else!:rotfl2:

Elizabeth do you go every Aug for your long trip?

It's looking that way. We can't take DS out for too many days (as evidenced in Oct. '05) and DH has to navigate around the bid process and "black out" dates. There are 5 weeks where none of the drivers are allowed vacation time, so even if DS is off DH won't be. We seem to be able to get a week in August even though DH doesn't have much seniority. We did have to bump our dates for this year by a week, but it wasn't a big deal. It would have been nice to be here for school orientation but we managed without it! The deluxe hotels are in value season in August, so that's nice.:) I am hoping to get Aug. 2-11 next year since my birthday is Aug. 5. If DH can't get that week then hopefully he can get Aug. 9-18. Our APs expire the 16th, but we still have the water park tickets that we didn't use this year. We could use those 8/17 and just hang at the resort on departure day if we don't renew the APs.

we are considering going in Aug. of 2010. Would like to go 2009 but Virginia will be about 22 months. If we go in 2010 she will be a little over 21/2. I am considering All stars movies resort. The only draw back to those resorts is no fridge. If we do a moderate it will be french quarter.

If they are still offering the P&P party in 2010 did those of you who went to it think it was worth it?

Over the last few days I've updated my trip report with a couple of installments. Link is still in my signature :goodvibes

I emailed it to you. Do you know what type of file you need to have for the slideshow program you are using?

Well I got a couple of boxes up in the attic today. Have a couple more ready to go when both Jeff and mom can be here. I got Olivia's new toy box put together. Moved her old one into the nursery and put the toys in it. I just need to find some places for some odds and ends and I can start putting the nursery furniture up in the room.

Jennifer - Sounds like the nursery is coming together!:cloud9:

Jennifer - I need to read your TR!

I just happened to check the voice mail on our home phone. There is a message fromt he attendance office saying DS was absent for his last class on Friday.:headache: He was tardy. He said he was tardy because the band teacher won't let them leave when the bell rings. He also had a tardy pass from the band teacher. I know he was there because he had homework from that teacher. How would he get the homework if he wasn't there? So now I have to call the school and try to get it corrected. Great.

You can rent the fridge for $12 per night, which is less that the increase in cost between a value and a moderate. But at the mods you also have a coffee maker, and I *think* maybe a ceiling fan.

We had fun. Crowds weren't bad, parade was fun, fireworks were terrific! It just seems like we didn't accomplish much in the span of 5 hours. The lines for the characters were LONG, so we only got Mickey & Donald. (They were posing together.) We mostly did rides and treasure stops, though the candy was far less than what we got at MNSSHP.

Well, I picked out another lousy movie for us to watch today. We got Pan's Labyrinth. I feel I'm in for another night of nightmares. I didn't realize it was going to be so dark.

Jennifer here are the trips Emma has been on:
Jan 04-11 1/2 months
Oct 04-21 months
Oct 05-33 months
Aug 06-3 1/2
Aug 07-4 1/2

Of those trips she was probably the easiest at 21 months. At 11 1/2 months she wasn't walking yet. She slept a lot in the stroller in the park and didn't have much "floor" time so she didn't sleep well. But other than the lack of sleep she was great in the parks.

At 21 months she was great! Just happily went along with everything and slept great.

At 33 months and 3 1/2 she had more of an oppinion about what she would and would NOT ride so she was a bit more difficult. At 4 1/2 she was willing to try more things and had a great time.

I actually like the value resorts a lot. I do prefer the layout of Pop a bit better than ASMo but we had a great stay there too. One thing I like about the values with small kids is the food court has better choices for them and because the values only have one sink the part of the bathroom that has the potty & tub is actually bigger in the value resorts. In the mods that tub is in there really tight. It made it a bit tough to do baths.

Will you be driving or renting a car? I found the bus service best at Pop Century.

NO! With small kids you just can't stay that late AND I felt like because we tried to stay up late it cut into our next day also. So I had an Annual Pass discount on my tickets and it was over $170 for our family of 5. The parade and fireworks were awesome but I don't think they were worth $170.

UGGGGHHHHH.....still fighting with photopass.....this is the latest I got:

Safari can’t open the page.
Too many redirects occurred trying to open “http://www.disneyphotopass.com/registration_gate.aspx”. This might occur if you open a page that is redirected to open another page which then is redirected to open the original page.

I thought I was almost done but I counted wrong (hey...I'm not an accountant again until tomorrow....) and now it's crashing on me.....

If you don't mind I am going to post my trip report here. It is so time consuming & I know once the kids start school on Wed I'll never finish is so I'd like to do a condensed version here.
